DDA Chapter 3

I spoke with my parents tonight. My dad had a stress test yesterday and evidently their is a concern. He is going in Monday for a heart catheterization on Monday. This isn't the first one either. He had a mild heart attack about 18 years ago and has had further blockages on an off throughout the years. Luckily they have been able to remove them with stents and angioplasty. If you could send good thoughts/wishes his way I would appreciate it.

So here is how my week is looking for August:

Mon 8/11 - arrive at BC. Walk over to Epcot. Early dinner at Biergarten.
Tue 8/12 - Blizzard Beach in AM, B&C for dinner, Fantasia golf
Wed. 8/13 - MK, early dinner at 1900 Park Fare, MK (hoping for P&PP this night)
Thur 8/14 - sleep in, HS, dinner with the DDA gang, HS
Fri - 8/15 - Epcot

I've asked the kids and Bob if there is anything that they don't want to do, and all said that they could skip AK this time around. That makes planning easier!

you've got the good thoughts and prayers!!

Hey, I had a personal milestone and didn't even know it. I've been waiting for so long to get out of those unlucky 13's.

My new stroller came via UPS today and I love it! It feels several pounds lighter than the old stroller-maybe the old one has a few pounds of dirt on it? The seat is about 1/2 wider, 1" deeper and 1" taller. I think Emma will like the mesh seat in the heat of FL and the rear of the shade also rolls up for circulation. The carry strap is great-seems like it would very easy to get through airport and on/off busses with that. I am so glad I made the purchase!

I'm glad you like it! :goodvibes I hope it makes your trip even better!

Any advice?

Nicholas got his report card today. They don't get letter grades yet, just numbers, so he is at where he should be, although he did get a comment saying that he makes careless errors because he works too fast and rushes to complete things. I've noticed this in the in-class work that he brings home. Any suggestions on how to get him to take his time and make sure everything is complete and correct.?

Elizabeth - I'm sorry about the whole locker ordeal. :sad2:

Thanks. In the grand scheme of things it is just annoying about the locker.
DS isn't one to rush. He is one to put his name on the paper and then zone out for the next half hour. I know when I tell him things to try to help him with his study habits he says OK, but he doesn't implement anyting I tell him!

Elizabeth-I am sorry about the locker debacle!! The MS will not allow what DS does here....the kids are given lockers in their core classroom area. Both girls hated their locks and Abi's lock actually had to be replaced at the beginning of the year.

The mom sitting behind us tonight was saying they are trying to get the teachers to only require ONE binder instead of a binder for every subject to cut down on the crap the kids have to carry around (lockers not withstanding).

Congrats! :)
We'll be at MK on 8/13 and Epcot on 8/15. We're doing BB on 8/8. Not sure when we'll go play mini golf. Maybe 8/10.

So DS won 3rd place! Yay! :yay: Now we don't have to fight about who has to drive the display board to the other school! He got a nice medal and a certificate. He did very well playing the snare and the bass drum.

I am starving so I am going to go find some dinner!

Congrats!!! Remind me what his project was about. I filled out Nicholas' entry form and he will turn it in tomorrow. He is also staying after school for the student meeting tomorrow.

Checking in...

Not sure when I'll be able to check back in with you guys.

I told a couple of you on this thread last week that I believed I was pregnant....which I am.

Unfortunately, it has turned out to what doctors believe is an ectopic pregnancy. So joy has turned into sadness/fear very quickly in this household. Not really sure what the future holds right now....I am on daily monitoring...if levels do not decrease on their own I am facing possible surgery maybe even emergency surgery if the pain persists. As awful as it sounds, the better thing would be to have have a natural miscarriage......and unless something resolves very quickly, there will be no Disney trip.

Bill is completely out of his mind right now....after the doctor pumped him full of the ectopic risks (mainly the death one) he has been hovering all over me.

I did instruct him to call Marti & Marci should something happen.

Well, there you have it.

Kristine, know that you are in my thoughts and prayers. I am so sorry.'s
