DDA Chapter 3

OK, here is another question I just thought of!

If I decide to buy a bottle of wine at dinner instead of a glass or two, will the WDW restaurants recork the bottle for me to take back to our room? I know that our restaurants here will do that for you (and some even put it in a plain brown paper bag for you to carry out! :rotfl: ). Yachtsman Steakhouse was willing to wash out the empty bottle of a particularly good wine we had there once so we could take it. We ended up having them remove the label instead.

I do know that in some locales it is against the law to remove an opened bottle of liquor, or to even carry it through the restaurant. Anyone know?

I am teaching for 2 hours this morning (11:00-1:00). Bob and I haven't talked about what we are going to eat for SuperBowl Sunday. I guess we had better do that so I have enough time to stand inline at the grocery store! ;)

I'm throwing this out there to see what you all do...

Does salt go in the shaker with more or less holes?

It was a topic of conversation during our dinner last night with our friends. I've only done it one way my entire life. And they have it the opposite. Stupid I know, but now I'm curious!

I put salt in the shaker with more holes. Although we don't use a salt shaker anymore! :rotfl:

Yummy! Did you talk Disney?

Gotta call for ADRs!! :yay:
Well, we talked about how if we continue to travel with 5 people my 200 DVC pts won't go very far, and that he should put his tax refund to good use buying more pts. ;)

Congrats on getting the ADRs done.

I have two questions for you know-it-all... I mean KNOWLEDGEABLE Disney people... :rotfl2:

1. Can you tell me any reason why I can book a CL room at AKL by itself, or with a 1-day base ticket, but the WDW system will not allow me to add Deluxe Dining to that package? It won't let me add ANY dining to the package, actually! Just curious...

2. I already checked into costs of the Deluxe Dining Plan vs. DDE discount and know that the dining plan is better for what we will probably order. Would it make sense, or is it even permitted, to use our DDE card for the alcohol that will not be covered on that plan?
:confused3

You are just full of questions today. I have no idea.

Thanks, Janet! The signature is going to be a work in progress, I think. I have so many photos that I have taken over the years that I love. I am shrinking them down so that I can do an ever-changing panoramic view of WDW.

I am hoping that the September trip will be as much fun to take as it has been to plan!

It sounds like a lovely trip and I love your ever changing signature!!

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

congrats on your succesful waking up and ressie making!!

Thanks! I woke up every hour starting about 2 AM. At 5 AM something REALLY BIG and REALLY CLOSE must have been on fire because I heard tons of sirens and a guy with a bullhorn. Couldn't understand what he was saying, though. At that point I just decided to get up!

Good Morning,

Sorry about the shirt Deb, I'm sure it will go to good use though.

Elin, I guess I'm not very knowledgible because I don't know any of the answers.

Congrats on the ADR's Elizabeth, I'm waiting on the signed paperwork from work before I make our ressies.

I'm on my way out to purchase some more green food, today is the local Mardi Gras parade so I bet the store is going to be a madhouse between that and Super Bowl parties.

Thanks, Debbie! I hope your paperwork is completed soon!
Good luck at the store! :scared: I am sure DH will be in a snit when he gets home. He prefers NOT to deal with customers so today will not go well for him!

The room reservation is for 4 nights. :confused3

Thanks for confirming what I thought to be true as far as using the DDE discount on top of the DDP. I am pretty sure that we tip more than 18% on just about everything, so that is not a problem! :rotfl:

We always tip 20% at dinner. We typically don't go to the lounges just for drinks, so I don't know what I would tip if we did!:rotfl2:

That chicken recipe (oven or crockpot version) sounds yummy, but it would require a trip to the store. The only component we have on hand is the chicken! We do need groceries, but I don't really want to brave the crowds.

I have actually seen this discussion before and I am ALMOST positive that the answer is no.

I suppose it depends on which one you like better! :rotfl2: I am a salt girl, myself, so salt goes in the one with more holes. Also, pepper is a finer grind so it comes out faster. Our pepper shaker has disppeared. I noticed that the other day when I was refilling the salt shaker.

I put the salt in the top of my pepper mill and whichever shaker says S on it....I am a lot of help aren't I???:confused3 :lmao:

I say salt goes in the shaker with more holes. You usually put more salt on your food than pepper.

Chuck says the holes are usually different sizes. The pepper goes in the one with the larger holes.

This is what yahoo has to say about it. http://ask.yahoo.com/20040126.html

This is from wikipedia. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Salt_shaker

Chuck also says that you aren't supposed to use a pepper shaker because you are supposed to use a grinder and grind it fresh every time.

Robyn - One of my old bosses had the masseuse come to the house every week. It was $80 for one hour. This lady had a select group of clients and didn't advertise or anything. She did quite well.
The girl who watched Brother & Sister before I did got her massage license but she didn't seem to be able to make a living with it. I guess it just depends on how hard you are willing to work to establish your client base.:confused3

you all must have drank some chatty juice the last couple of days!!!

We are going to church and then bowling (for 42 cents a game) then home to watch the game. We are going to take sandwiches and chips to eat on the way from church to bowling and we have some nummy snacks for supper.

Oh, I forgot about the coupon. I guess maybe we won't be going today after all. Have fun!!! I really need to buy myself some shoes. It would make it much more economical.
