DDA Chapter 3

Anne Marie... I hope you start to feeling better, but even more so... I hope you send those boys HOME! I cannot believe that they would act that way in another person's home!! :confused3
I should video them & post it here!!!!!:rotfl:

Well, airfare for Feb - May is down to $179 round trip on American! MUCH better than $377! The flight DH would need going TO MCO looks like it might go pretty low, coming home looks like it might stay expensive. But that's life in the big city.
If we can get a $79 one way to MCO I will grab it, then I'll just watch and see what we can do for getting him back home. Right now the August flights are still $377.
Ouch!

I hope you all are doing well. I had an absolutely AWFUL night. The winds picked up again (our giant gas grill ended up 2 lots over, if that's saying anything), I slept about 45 minutes, and had a massive asthma attack when trying to sleep in the guest bedroom. What the heck?! New allergy to the comforter? I know we keep that room clean, and everything is washed fairly regularly, so again -- what the heck? My chest is still killing me.

Oh well. I'm leaving early today, and if Eric suggests otherwise I will probably just kill him, however inadvertently. :rolleyes1

Have a great day! :teeth:
Hope you are feeling better today!

Jennifer I hope you feel better.:wizard:

Kathrin is headed back to Boston on Friday for a second interview with company #2. They loved her writing samples and she "passed" their caliper tests as they thought she would. She is required to meet with their CEO before they can offer her a job, so she is making a flying trip up there. I cannot believe her boss in Richmond STILL doesn't know what is going on! Good thoughts need to wing her way, please!!

She's got them!!! :wizard:

Good morning, everyone!

Terry - So good to see you! I hope that today is a better day and the ickies are gone.

Anne Marie - I would SO call the parents tonight. Maybe it will do some good in the long run as well, but it is a must when feeling crappy too.

Chanon - Love the page! I'm certain that there is a dummies book out there. There are also a few digital scrapbooking books that might help as well.

Jennifer - I hope that today is the day that your back decides to heal itself! Take care. As for the stroller, I ususally have thing in it that are identifiable enough. We have tied a yellow bandana on the handle in the past as well. It made it easier the time with travelled with my parents. I could send my dad for the stroller and he'd know what to look for since he hadn't a clue what the stroller itself looked like.

To most - Stay warm! It's cold here today too. Plus, they've already issued a winter storm warning for tomorrow afternoon. Apparently, the storm hasn't even fully formed yet, but they're calling for 6+ inches of snow. Guess Terra will get to break out those snow pants after all.

Jennifer - Hope you can get home early and get some rest. :wizard: that the attack doesn't happen again.

Robyn - Love the new sig pictures. Lucy is just so cute and the girls look absolutely lovely.

Really cool! Did you use photoshop elements?

A coworker did the DC one at night and said it was the best thing ever!
Photoshop 7.

I didn't know they did a night tour. That would be cool!

Good morning, everyone!

Morning Tia,
thanks for the good wishes for my back I would love for it to heal itself. Wow the storm is not done develpoing yet. Olivia would love snow. stay warm and have fun playing in the show with Terra
How old was Terra on her youngest trip?

I am here at work and I cannot believe that my stomach is still feeling very nauseous. The hot tea is just not working.

It is very windy here too. Had to do the swerve and weave to avoid hitting trash cans on the way to work :scared1:

Becky,

I was trying to find out when the email came for us to actually purchase our tickets and cannot remember. Was going to check my bank statements. I do know the event sold out in three days.

Good morning! :)

My poor little Emma has the DDA bug. She's got a lot of head congestion, a low grade fever and runny/mushy poo. She's getting lots of practice using the potty without a ring.

I'm not feeling so hot myself. A bit of a head ache and my eyes feel hot. I also haven't been able to sleep. I went to bed at a reasonable hour last night (around 10pm) only to wake up around 1 and I couldn't fall asleep again.
I hope you both feel better today. :wizard:

DS got his report card today. A's except Math and band which were B's. His semester exam grades and his semester averages were all A's & B's, too, except Math. He missed a B for the semester by ONE POINT! :headache: But we are proud of him. He has worked hard to get through the first semester of middle school!
Congrats to DS! That is excellent! How is the insurance thing coming along today?

what do you all do to distinguish your stroller from the rest of them?
I have a big, long, multicolored scarf that I wrap from one side of the handle to the other. I should also mention that this is REALLY handy when renting a park stroller and there are zillions that look alike. Plus it keeps me from having to hold the handle that a million other people touched. Yes, I'm germaphobic.

I managed to get the fabric wahed and dried. I ironed all the fabric and the pattern pieces which I cut out. I got it all pinned and the material is now cut into the proper peices. I will not have time to start sewing until Saturday. Hopefully I will get it all done this weekend. I also scanned the fabric into the computer in several different places so I have a wonderful assortment of scenes to use for the boys designs. Why can't I use this motivation to clean my house? :confused3
I like the idea of scanning the print and then making other things.

Kathrin is headed back to Boston on Friday for a second interview with company #2. They loved her writing samples and she "passed" their caliper tests as they thought she would. :wizard: :wizard: Best of luck to her! :wizard: :wizard:

Hi everyone, I am sorry I have not been posting, I was so upset having to see us start a new thread. I just do not understand why it had to be done. I am unhappy that the old one cannot be found. I forgot to write down things I wanted to look up and now cannot remember what they were. I guess I just had a pi$$y attitude and wanted to whine, whine, whine.

I really am doing good. I did stay home yesterday because the bathroom and I became intimate friends all day. I had soup today for lunch but it did not like me. I came home and had tea and crackers tonight and rested on the recliner for a few hours with a few cuddly kitties making sure to lay on my belly which actually helped. Purring is so soothing. :goodvibes

So now I have to catch up.
I hope you are feeling better today. :wizard:

As for distinguishing the stroller, Stephanie made a printout of her DGS's picture and put it in a plastic sleeve with the words "If this is not your kid, this is not your stroller" or words to that affect
:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Ok enabling time - anyone who wants to learn how to scrap on photoshop or elements (which is the next best thing at a fraction of the price) go to jessicasprague.coma dn sign up for her up and running course:

Up & Running with Photoshop : February 18-March 16. Registration begins February 11.

I think it's about $50 but worth every penny - I'm in the middle of the advanced class and it is brilliant - you do one main lesson a week where you learn tons of stuff and each day jess emails a freebie or a challenge of some sort. We were given a huge freebie kit which is great - and all the materials you need to participate are included in the price. Clear your schedules and treat yourselves!
Do I have to be on the computer at a certain time or is this a 'take when I have the time' sort of class?

I got no sleep last night. Throat still hurts & so does my stomach but I was called into work today so that should be fun....not.
Hopefully it will be a slow day.

After work, I have religion. Yes, my boys will be here tonight. I think what I am going to do is if they can't calm down & stop yelling & am going to just call their parents to come get them. I am not going to try to read over their yelling especially the way I feel today.

:wizard: :wizard: :wizard: for everyone whose not feeling well!

Have a great day!
I hope you feel better too! Good luck tonight. :wizard: :wizard:

Today is DS's birthday. :) He said he is going to try to get all of his work done in class today so he won't have very much homework. I know he is disappointed about having to stay for band.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY DS!!!!

Chanon I like the scrapbook page
It'll have to wait until I get home, as it won't display here. :headache:

I got a lot of nice comments about my stroller photo. :lmao: People actually waited for us to come out of ITTBAB, so they could see DGD in person. :rotfl:

I looked at my Paypal, and my payment for the Magic MouseMeet came out February 20th..

All of the pictures look great!!:woohoo: :woohoo: I love Lucy!!

I really love the digital scrapbook pages. :surfweb:

All the sickies... be well!!:wizard: :wizard:

And yes, I am the senior member of the DDA...

:lmao: :lmao: BY TEN DAYS!!!!!:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Morning Tia,
thanks for the good wishes for my back I would love for it to heal itself. Wow the storm is not done develpoing yet. Olivia would love snow. stay warm and have fun playing in the show with Terra
How old was Terra on her youngest trip?

She was 13 or 14 months on her first week long WDW trip. Oh yeah, and not walking so that made a big difference. We were at DL 1-4 times a week from the time she was 6 months old. Not the same, I know, but you get lots of experience with the little things then.

How old with Virginia be if you go this year? What about next? I can probably give you loads of advice for both ages! Just ask away.

Well, the temperature here is -15 before the wind chill. The wind is howling and the trees are swaying! All the schools in the area are closed. It's a pretty nasty day out there.

Too cold for me!
I didn't realize it was only 35 here until I got outside. We had those big winds yesterday but it isn't nearly as windy today.

I hope you all are doing well. I had an absolutely AWFUL night. The winds picked up again (our giant gas grill ended up 2 lots over, if that's saying anything), I slept about 45 minutes, and had a massive asthma attack when trying to sleep in the guest bedroom. I hope you have an easy day! :wizard:

Tammi - I haven't heard anything from the insurance people today, but they don't even get to the office until just about now. Of course the lady wasn't there at all yesterday so the first hour or so today she will be listening to voice mails, reading e-mails, whatever. When she gets around to me she will have to call the billing office first so there is NO TELLING when (or if) I will hear from them today.

Elizabeth, I forgot to thank you for the ID badge holders. Thank you so much! They are exactly what I was looking for. My niece & nephew will love them (unless I keep them for myself :lmao: ).

she will be 10 months this year she will be 22 months next year
all advice appreciated

You're welcome! If you keep them I won't tell. :rolleyes1

Just a safety warning - they don't have any sort of "pull away" feature, so if they get caught on something they won't break.
I only mention that because DS has to wear an ID badge at school, and the lanyards don't have any sort of latch that will come apart if the cord gets caught. Apparently DS got his lanyard caught on the playground one day (this was LAST year in 5th grade) and a teacher had to come get him untangled.:scared1: I never knew that until last Saturday when we were at dinner with DS's friends and his friend said something about it.
I will say in all the trips we have taken none of us have gotten our badge holders or our pin lanyards caught on anything. Of course the pin lanyards have velcro so they are pretty safe. Hopefully we can continue with that track record! :)

I'm working on organizing my paperwork so that I can be more efficient for work. My office really needs to get done. I'm so much closer than I have ever been. I can't believe that I'm still motivated to work on it even though I am down to the hard stuff to decide on. This is usually where I stop because I just don't know what to do with it. I've decided this time, it will either find a permanent home or it will be gone from my home!!!!

where did we find the countdown generators that count down the days. I thought I bookmarked it but I can't find it.

I finally found it

The way I always find it is by right clicking on someone else's, then selecting properties. It tells you where it is being hosted. I can never remember even when I have it bookmarked since I have so much bookmarked.
