DDA Chapter 3

that sounds neat.

How much are these?

Oooooo they not be cheap. They cheapest was $70 square but we got the $100 rectangle so Joe could have a character put on it too-he chose a 2008 logo with the characters. I had gotten the Leave a Legacy with Lizzy for her 7th birthday trip and planned on doing that for Joe & Emma-that was $25 BUT they stopped doing it. I had to do something and Deb had mentioned these cubes when she sadly broke one. I think she paid A LOT less. I had already told Joe we could do it before I found out how much they were but they really are PRICELESS! Unlike the Leave a Legacy it is something we will ALWAYS have (as long as noone drops it) and something we can see everyday. I don't know how much it costs to do 2 or 4 heads. They have even bigger cubes that can do lots of heads.

SO...when we went home we stopped in the Seaworld giftshop at the airport and they had Joe's size cube with dolphins in it. I asked the clerk how much and she said $4.95. I figured it was plastic so I picked it up but it was glass and the same weight as Joe's cube. BUT it was mass produced and not a 3D image of his cute little face.;)

We were up early. Joe loved the "today" additions to the "birthday" window. We were at MK in time for the early entry 8am opening ceremony.

We headed for Fantasy Land and I took this foggy photo as we walked throught the castle:

We rode Dumbo first before the lines got too long:

Next up was Peter Pan before that line got too bad. When in line for Peter Pan I noticed some Dream Makers hanging out at Small World. Joe wanted to ride that so we did but no dreams. We headed over to Pooh and then did Space Mountain stand by. We got a fast pass for Space for later on. The lines weren't bad so we did Astro Orbitors.

We rode Buzz and after the traditional in jail with Zurg photo we headed over to the Crystal Palace for a birthday breakfast. We had our photo taken while waiting to be seated. The photopass guy got some great shots of us with the castle show's fireworks going off. I do love the CP breakfast!

The CL rooms are on the 5th floor. I would not they are closer to Epcot because you still have to go down the main elevator to the lobby & then exit thru the back of the resort to walk to Epcot. I found the rooms very accessble though..We had the farthest room away from the elevators & it still was a very short walk.

Thanks for the response, Anne Marie!

After breakfast we found Captain Hook & Mr. Smee and found out when Peter Pan & Wendy would be out. We did the sword fight with Captain Hook "magic" photo but Joe wouldn't hold the sword-they had a sample photo but he just wouldn't do it.

We grabbed a fast pass for BTMRR and went to ride Space on our fast pass. We saw Buzz and then went to see Peter Pan & Wendy.

We rode BTMRR on our fast passes and then headed for the park exit. I asked the piano man at Casey's if he could play Happy Birthday and he was great. I took a photo of Joe with the balloons and we saw Dopey & Snow White. I asked the handler if they knew if we could get Jessies signature and she said to ask in city hall. They said she wasn't greeting today but would be tomorrow and gave me the times. We took the bus back to Pop for a swim.

There was a housekeeping cart at our door but our room hadn't been made up yet. We got on our swim suits and were leaving just as the maid was about to leave the linens in a bag. We swam for a short while in the computer pool and then took a shower before Joe's birthday dinner.

Well, it looks like I will be staying home tomorrow. Alyssa has a stomach bug of some sort. Not diarrhea but very loose. Twice she didn't make it in time today and she just woke up having to go again. So I'll keep her home tomorrow. I'd hate for her to have a oops at school. No other symptoms though. Must have been something she ate. She had popcorn shrimp last night when we went out to dinner. I don't know if that could have done it or not, but it's the only thing different that the rest of us didn't have.

Poor thing. I hope she is doing better by the time you read this.

We took a bus to Epcot so we could take the monorail to TTC. We waited for the next monorail so we could ride with the driver. When we got the to TTC and switched to the resort monorail there was room for 2 more with the driver so we rode up front again. Joe took these photos of the Contemporary and Space Mountain.

We had fun at Chef Mickey's. The characters were great but the food wasn't great. Maybe I'll try breakfast sometime.

After dinner we walked over to the MK. Main St was already crowded with folks waiting for Spectromagic. Joe said he would rather do ride. We did Carosel of Progress, Teacups and Philjarmagic.

Are you up already?

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

No... the dog was barking at something outside and I got up to check on it. Then I decided to check in here while my heartbeat got back to normal! Never did see what it was, so back to bed for me!

I am enjoying your TR and all the wonderful pictures you took.

We headed for the front of the castle to find a good spot for Wishes. We got a spot nice and close. Almost too close as we couldn't see all the fireworks as some of them fell behind the castle. We met a nice couple from France who took a great photo for us. The crowds were down right scary as we left. I was happy I had gotten Joe a stroller as I think he was lot safer in there. He fell asleep in the stroller as I walked down Main St but was a trooper walking the long way to the Pop bus stop. We had to wait about 20 to 30 minutes for a bus but by the time we got on the bus the line was literally out of sight.:scared1: We were both exhausted. I was too tired to pack. I would say Joe had a magical birthday!!!

When we were at the bus stop that night there was lost little girl-about 4 or 5. I think her family might have gotten on a bus without her. It was so sad. There was a Mom with her and they were looking a CM. The poor little thing was so scared.:sad2:

As much I would like to finish my TR I think I better head to bed too.

Morning DDA!

Jennifer - I just had to say thanks for posting your cruise photos...I was up until midnight downloading Photoshop and googling free scrapbooking sites! :teeth:

Hi Robyn love the new signature

Thanks!

Welcome home Robyn! I haven't had a chance to look at your Photopass pictures (or mine for that matter! :rotfl: ), but I love the new picture of 2/3 of your princesses in your signature! :goodvibes

I hope you all adjust to being home quickly. For whatever reason, Matthew FINALLY started sleeping through the night after our December trip. :thumbsup2

:rotfl: Thanks! :yay: for Matthew sleeping through the night! Lucy didn't have any problems while on the road but her schedule is all off. She woke up at 4:30am this morning. Her normal wake up time is between 7 and 8am but she also doesn't go down for the night until 9pm or so. Hopefully a few days of normal will get her back on track.

Thanks

My youngest DD refuses to ride IASW anymore

Welcome home, love the new siggy picture.

Thanks Debbie, right back at you!

Welcome home, Robyn. I can't wait to hear more about your trip!

I want to do a trip report but the only thing I can promise is that it will be slow coming.

Welcome home, Robyn!

Jennifer - tell me how you first got started with the digital scrapbooking. Where did you learn how to do all the layouts, how did you decide which embellishments to download, etc? Are there sites out there with layout ideas that I can copy? I need S I M P L E. Any good tutorials that you used?

I like the idea of mypublisher. I might make a book for Bob for his bday.

Thanks Tammi.

WTG Alan! You are going to have a fabulous trip. I think Hugh is pretty cute, and I absolutely love Gone With the Wind. :goodvibes

We just got back from my nephew's birthday party. It was at his house, and the boys played football, basketball, Wii etc. It was fun for Andrew because he doesn't go to school with these boys, so it was fun to get to play with them. Most of them he's played sports with before. Unfortunately, my nephew picked a different cake this time -- german chocolate, and it was so yummy! I say unfortunately, because the cake he usually picks I can pass on, but this one was too good to pass up. I really need to get more serious on my diet.

I'm going to check my work e-mail and veg in front of the tv. :happytv: See you guys tomorrow.

The party sounded like a lot of fun for the boys! I really need to get back on track with the whole diet thing too.

Have you been talking to my cousin? that is what she says!

Love it!!!!!!!!!

Thanks Jen. Good luck on the job search! There's always MD ;) It's not too far from your family.

Welcome home.

Isn't that photopass site slow.:headache:

Thanks! ::yes::
does anybody know if Giselle is out in the parks??

We didn't see her. I had heard she was in HS parade but we did not see her.

It is. It's 9! :rotfl2:

:lmao:

Do you all give your kids gifts on Valentine's Day???

I picked up 2 lipgloss sets at Kmart after Christmas for the girls....that's all they will be getting.

Sometimes I wish Jim and I were more into the holidays...we are so not romantics.

Just a little something.

DH said to me today, "I don't have to get you anything for Valentines do I?"

I ordered flowers for my oldest DD to be delivered to her on her birthday at work Wednesday, they had a dozen roses for $82.00 with a delivery fee of $12.00, :scared1: I don't think so, that's a $100 better spent for Disney.

Yikes, that's outrageous.

Here are some pictures of the cute little kitten that frequents our house now when Katrina is here. Isn't he a cutie?

He is a cutie. I so miss having kitties around the house.

Unfortunately this mountain has changed owners more times that I can name. There never seems to be a Great year when they can get ahead. A new owner will sink $$ into it and get it up and running, but the past few years has had little snow so they were counting on this to be the year that the got caught up then all the lift issues put them in the hole more than past years :confused3 I dn't think they will make it another year. In a few years someone else will try to make a go of it.

It's not hard. you can do it with a machine, but you will see the hem. I usually do hems by hand as I can keep them invisible.

I bought some cool animal fabric so make a shirt for myself for AK. I planned to scan the pattern into the computer to do a T-shirt design for the boys. Once Chris saw the fabric he decided that the "needs" an AK shirt of his own. So now I need to buy more fabric before it is gone. I think I'll still do t's for the boys, but we will see.

I'm sorry that the ski day wasn't so great.

Wow what a chatty bunch!! I had over 20 pages to go thru since Friday night!

We had a very busy weekend with the Bat Mitzvah yesterday (which was alot of fun, great party) and 2 birthday parties today. Now the weekend is over & I have to get up early to get the kids ready for school.
Good night!

Sounds like a fun weekend!

Hope she's better today :wizard:

I am in double digits for May.:figment: :figment:

I'm trying to do borders on photopass but it is SOOOOOOOOO slow. I may work on my January trip report again.

:cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

Me too!

On our last day we went into the babycare center to change Lucy and I had to buy some formula. There were 2 people a head of me and as I stood there I realized that the one mom that was talking to the CM was giving info about her lost son. My heart went up in my throat. She was sooo calm. Thankfully, another CM came in with her little boy. Apparently they got separated in front of the castle and was found all the way over by Space Mtn. He was about Molly's age.

And then when we were in line at Haunted Mansion, about 10 minutes after we left the babycare center, we heard a couple of people calling out a boy's name and giving a description to some CM's. As we reached the top of the queue a CM was walking through the line with the little boy. Again he was about Molly's age.
