DDA Chapter 3

I think I'm heading off to Walmart tomorrow to find a pattern so I can make something on my sewing machine.

He is cute Vicki! I guess he has found an adoptive family in yours. How does your dog like him?

That picture of the two of them is them playing. It is so cute to see them. Enzo (the cat) will go after Mya (the dog) so Mya will start chasing Enzo around. Enzo will hide and pounce out at her as she comes by. Enzo will also lay down on the floor and confuse Mya because she thinks he doesn't want to play anymore. Mya will start to walk away and Enzo will swipe her. They do have a ball together. I was worried but it has been wonderful. It is funny to watch Enzo try and stalk Mya.

Thanks for the picture Becky. That helps. Chuck didn't even know what it was. That is very unusual! :lmao:

You're welcome! I had dresses when I was younger that were shirred, I do not think my Mom made them though.:confused3 She did make me lots of clothing items as a child, because I was hard to fit. Hmm... nothing has changed. :lmao: :lmao:

I have actually been thinking about trying to make myself some shirts. Or perhaps I should make a t-shirt quilt, or a Disney quilt with the random Disney fabric I have.:confused3 :confused3 :confused3

I have been so lazy today again. I need to get my butt in gear and do some cleaning or an art and craft project or something.

What are you going to make, any ideas?

I want to make some kind of Disney top for myself first I think. Eventually, I want to make Chuck a button-up shirt. I was going to make him one years ago and he was quite disappointed when it never materialized. However, I need to practice button holes for that so it will come later.

My clothes were either homemade or hand me downs from my cousin. It was so much cheaper to make clothes when I was younger. I know that many of my baby clothes were from my mom's old clothes that she made into baby clothes. That is when she learned to sew. She needed clothes for me. She lived on a farm and was more of an outdoor girl until she married.

my mom still has partially done dresses for both my sister and I that would have fit my girls about ten years ago :lmao:

congrats on 11,000 posts, Theresa!!

Sounds like the kids had fun. Don't know how that mountain will stay in business. Don't they need to do well in the years with snow so they can "weather" the years with less snow?:confused3

Unfortunately this mountain has changed owners more times that I can name. There never seems to be a Great year when they can get ahead. A new owner will sink $$ into it and get it up and running, but the past few years has had little snow so they were counting on this to be the year that the got caught up then all the lift issues put them in the hole more than past years :confused3 I dn't think they will make it another year. In a few years someone else will try to make a go of it.

how hard is it to hem?? Since Cassidy is so short in the legs I need to learn to hem some pants.

It's not hard. you can do it with a machine, but you will see the hem. I usually do hems by hand as I can keep them invisible.

I bought some cool animal fabric so make a shirt for myself for AK. I planned to scan the pattern into the computer to do a T-shirt design for the boys. Once Chris saw the fabric he decided that the "needs" an AK shirt of his own. So now I need to buy more fabric before it is gone. I think I'll still do t's for the boys, but we will see.

I wish I could sew. then I could make the girls some cute matching outfits

Anne Marie (and anyone else who knows...) -- Can you tell me something about the location of the CL rooms at BC? Are any of them close to Epcot?
The CL rooms are on the 5th floor. I would not they are closer to Epcot because you still have to go down the main elevator to the lobby & then exit thru the back of the resort to walk to Epcot. I found the rooms very accessble though..We had the farthest room away from the elevators & it still was a very short walk.

I'm off to bed. I'm going to do some Disney planning, sewing planning & then off to dream land. Talk to you all tomorrow!

Wow what a chatty bunch!! I had over 20 pages to go thru since Friday night!

We had a very busy weekend with the Bat Mitzvah yesterday (which was alot of fun, great party) and 2 birthday parties today. Now the weekend is over & I have to get up early to get the kids ready for school.
Good night!

Well, it looks like I will be staying home tomorrow. Alyssa has a stomach bug of some sort. Not diarrhea but very loose. Twice she didn't make it in time today and she just woke up having to go again. So I'll keep her home tomorrow. I'd hate for her to have a oops at school. No other symptoms though. Must have been something she ate. She had popcorn shrimp last night when we went out to dinner. I don't know if that could have done it or not, but it's the only thing different that the rest of us didn't have.
