DDA Chapter 3

Good morning, DDA!

Denise - so sorry to hear about your trip. Lots of PD that April will be magical!! :wizard:

Karen - congrats on the job! :woohoo:

Kristine and Janet - stay warm and safe! There is some crazy scary weather out there right now - particularly for someone like me who would have no idea how to deal with it. Kristine, I hope it lets up so Jackie can still have her party!

Deb - can't wait to see the shirt!

Tammi - another great page! :thumbsup2 Glad to hear Alyssa is on the mend.

Chanon - the Photoshop class sounds great! I have never really used it (Jonathan does all the photo editing), but I have wanted to learn, and maybe this is a good reason to do so, with another purpose. I think we have Elements, but I'm not entirely certain. :confused3

As for the cruise, they serve breakfast at Beach Blanket Buffet, as well as in Parrot Cay and Triton's on the Wonder. We ate one day in Parrot Cay (it's a buffet for breakfast), and it was quite yummy! I believe Triton's you have to order, so it just takes longer. We ate our last breakfast in Animator's Palette, but of course, that's assigned based on your prior evening's dinner. We didn't have a lot of chances to sample a lot of the food, and that's one thing I plan on doing more of on the next cruise!

Jennifer - hope your back is feeling better today! :wizard:

Elizabeth - looking forward to seeing pics of the cake! I'd probably wait on the airfare - it's still a little early to get panicky, and August always seems to be a slower travel time. I bet it might come down a bit more.

Marci - good job on the elliptical! I wish I could get motivated (to do something besides eat V-Day candy)!

Glynis - good luck with the errands, and the children from Hades. :scared:

Vicky-congrat on your office clean up! Good luck to both of your girls!

Elin-tell your DD to pack her rain coat. It sunny today but Boston is supposed to get rain tomorrow. North of town will get a rain/snow mix but thankfully I'm south.

Tammi-love your 4th of July page!

Kristine-good luck with the party!

Elizabeth-can you book just the flight down? $116 doesn't sound too bad. I booked May at $109 each way and they are up to $223 and $203. I paid $129 & $114 for August and they have stayed the same.

Glynis, I'm in the same boat as you - they keep telling me that they have to come out. ALL of them. This dentist doesn't put you out...they do something called twilight. Frankly when it does happen...they better put me in enough "twilight" so I don't remember a thing!

I had mine done at the oral/maxillo surgeon's office. I sat in a "regular" dental chair and they gave me some sort of injections. I don't remember ANYTHING. They gave me some headphones to wear, and it seemed like they handed them to me and then immediately took them away, but they took them after I was completely finished.:rotfl2: My mom took me to her house, then when DH got off work he took me home.
I have only had general anesthesia once, when I had knee surgery. I had a horrible time with that, and DS is the same way. The anesthesia he had when he had his thumb surgery made him vomit for 12 straight hours. When he had the surgery on his eye muscles I made it abundantly clear to the Dr. that we would NOT leave that hospital if he was vomiting. They took all sorts of precautions and he still threw up. :sad2: They did get it under control before they discharged him, though.

Lindsay - I know it might drop another $30 or so, but I get twitchy about airfare. In the past we have paid about $230 for round trip so the $116 for one way is pretty reasonable. Then we can just see what happens with that other leg. If it stays at $178 then at least we'll get a break on the leg going to MCO.

Bernadette - Yes, I am looking at booking it one way. And this is the same flight DS and I are on so that eliminates the issue of DH being separated from us. The airline "watch" sites all say you should decide what you are willing to pay and buy when the price hits that number. The thing giving me pause is that the same flight (Friday morning, same time) in April is selling for $79. So the August flight might come down. Or it might go up. :rolleyes1

Thanks, Bernadette! :goodvibes I think she had already planned to do that as well as wear jeans, etc. on the flight and change into her suit just before the interview.

Jennifer - Southwest flights are out through Aug. 22!

For us, they are higher than American going to MCO and lower coming back. I put that flight for DH on hold so I can ponder what I want to do.

Good luck with your decision Elizabeth!

Jennifer I hope you can get some decent prices on flights for Aug. !

Jennifer I do not remember your exact dates, but I put in the 12th - 19th & there are some fares for $99 on SW.

:rotfl:good point!

Maybe I should call they psychic chick and find out how bad the weather is going to be :rotfl2::rotfl2:

I'm hearing downstate Michigan is supposed to get a lot today and another bunch tomorrow. We are trying to figure out what the plan is for the week-end work if it hits like they are saying.

I've really been motivated to get a lot done today since my office is so clean. I wanted to get to work! :lmao: I wonder how long that will last. :rotfl:

How are you and your gang feeling today, Bernadette?

Good luck with your decision Elizabeth!

Ditto to both! :thumbsup2

That has to be such an awesome feeling, Vicki! Congrats again on all you've accomplished - everything looked so neat! :yay: :yay:

Still no DVC planner for the Meyer family. However, I got my official DVC membership cards. :woohoo: I feel so special! :lmao:

Princess is supposed to be napping, but she is playing. Really, really playing.

The people next door are apparently on some sort of mission to tear their entire house down one square foot at a time and rebuild it as they go. They moved in right after I started working here and that house has been under construction EVERY DAY since then! With the people in it!:scared1: Right now they have a table saw in the driveway, which happens to be about 5 feet away from Princess's bedroom window. Every time she starts to settle down I hear that saw whining and she revs up again. They don't have a Pack-N-Play so I can't really move her to another room. She isn't the type to stay in the big bed in the guest room if I tried to put her in there, and she would still be able to hear the saw.

Well, that's kind of cool! Maybe you will get the planner in the next few weeks since you have your membership cards now! :goodvibes

I would settle for some vision insurance ID cards. :rolleyes1

Chanon,

I am SO excited for Lost to start. I taped the recap show last night and still cried when Charlie got killed. One co-worker and I talk every week after the show and so we talked this morning about who is in the coffin? It cannot be Hurley because his family would have been there. Also Why didn't Charlie try to get out the porthole? Questions, Questions.
So tonight I will watch Lost and tape The Apprentice. :)

Lost is confusing. Chris loves it. He thinks that Ben is in the casket. :confused3

I finished his shirt this morning. It was really easy to do the button holes, but hand sewing the buttons took a few minutes. I'll have him try it on when I get home from work tonight.

I had my wisdom teeth pulled when I was in college (all 4). They knocked me out. I remember being very sick to my stomach afterwards, but that was the worst part.

We are also expecting bad weather tomorrow. Starting as snow then changing to a wintery mix. I have no idea if there will be school or not.
