DDA Chapter 3

Jennifer - I hope you get to the chiropractor this morning and then feel lots better. We don't want any future WDW trips to be in jeopardy!

Tammi - I hope Alyssa is doing better this morning. Enjoy having the kids home early!

He is wonderful. Can you believe that in 2 weeks it will be a year that we have been dating?!
Wow!!! That is wonderful.

I hope he feels better quickly. Keep an eye out for Strep. It is running rampant in this neck of the woods. I'm hoping that our house is free of it now, but you just never know.

I'm off to bed. Lots to do tomorrow.
Yes, strep is running rampant here too. Katie & Daniel have it & are on antibiotics. Now my throat & chest hurt when I cough..thankfully I am off today.

All this sewing!!! You guys are amazing that you can just get some fabric & make clothes out of them!! I am in awe..:worship:
I did make my kitchen curtains but that was just rectangles sew all around the edges...not too complicated. They are looking all & alittle faded, you are all giving me the incentive to make new ones.

Have a great day everyone.

We talked about it too, but it is just not his thing. And I am not going to go alone since I would never be able to eat everything like we did in October, Lindsay!

It looks like it will just be the two of us. Kathrin got a job offer from one of the firms in Boston this weekend. She is "thinking about it" mainly because it is the firm at the bottom of her list, but they offered her everything she asked for. And we are all very hopeful that Kristin will be a gainfully employed actor (or waitress) before September rolls around.

Congrats to Kathrin! That is wonderful news. What amazing women you have! Also, congrats on your new ticker.

I hope you feel better in the morning. :wizard: Cassidy too.

I'll second that!

Chuck is still not feeling well. His throat is sore and he was having trouble talking without having coughing spasms. He is off to bed.

I hope Chuch is better today!

Well, Alan finally made it home at about 9:15. I warmed up his dinner, and we put the kids to bed. I spent a few minutes catching up with him, and now I'm off to bed. My headache is FINALLY gone!!! Hope it doesn't find me tomorrow!

Night all!

Thanks for distracting me while Alan was driving!

I'm so glad he made it home safe. PD that the headache is gone for good!

Tammi -- I'm sorry your x is being such a jerk. I hope Alyssa is feeling better today and y'all enjoy your day together.

Jennifer -- I hope you get in to the chiropractor.

Elizabeth -- sorry about the insurance bill. I hope you get it straightened out as easily as possible.

Lindsay -- I hope the rest of the blackberry issues are resolved today. I swear I want to get rid of mine -- I've just never taken the time to figure out how to use it properly.

Anne Marie -- I hope your kids are better today and that you get some meds to feel better as well.

Clare -- awesome pictures!

I'm feeling a tad sore this morning, but it is self-inflicted. I finally got my lazy self back on the elliptical. Instead of working my way up in minutes, I got distracted by the DVRd Disney special I was watching and went the entire 30 minutes at a pretty quick pace. Now if I can motivate myself to do it again tonight...

Have a good day everyone. :)

I somehow missed this post last night, but thanks to Marci's quote I saw it. Congrats to Kathrin! :cool1:

Elizabeth - sorry about the insurance issues. I hope you can get it straightened out tomorrow and that it really is a misprint!

Janet - did you find the link to the pin? I saw it on disneyshopping under the personlized items.

I thought about that bill for hours last night and can't make any sense of it.:confused3

Thanks everyone for the welcome backs, the comments on the pics and the good thoughts for today. :goodvibes It was horrible but since I expected it, it was manageable.

I've read along but my brain is mush, so here is a blanket of :wizard: and 's. I am headed to bed. I think by Wednesday I will be running on fumes.

Hope today is better!

Bob did offer to stay with her if I had things scheduled that I couldn't get out of. I didn't want to stick him with having to clean her poopy butt though! :rotfl:

2 words - Flushable wipes. ;)

He is wonderful. Can you believe that in 2 weeks it will be a year that we have been dating?!

That's great! :thumbsup2

September 27-October 1... AKL CL. We are going to do at least one of the concierge safaris and a Segway tour. And probably no special F&W events.

How fun!!

Lindsay-glad your Blackberry is almost in working order....my boss upgraded to one this weekend...it's comical watching him trying to figure it out.

Elizabeth-I am sorry you are having insurance problems....we have been with State Farm for over a decade and the last three months have been trying:headache: partially our fault....partly theirs but good golly headache inducing but since they have been awesome until now and I know we've got great rates (less than $100 a month for 2 cars and low deductible homeowners) we aren't moving.

If I don't get some really good answers today I told DH I am ready to cancel all of our policies. We've been with then for 15 years.

We talked about it too, but it is just not his thing. And I am not going to go alone since I would never be able to eat everything like we did in October, Lindsay!

Congrats to Kathrin!

I just realized I blew through my milestone! I've been watching for it for 5 days. :lmao: Oh well, happy 9000 to me!

Congrats anyway!

How are they ever going to keep us down? I bet we will top out the maximum number of posts in record time again!

ETA: WOO HOO!! :rotfl: It was not my intention, but I will take it anyway! :goodvibes

Congrats!

Yes I did, Thank you! I decided though that having his name on the headstone would creep me out. So I don't think I will be getting that one.

Yeah, kind of creepy.

Good point. I didn't even realize that's what it was. Obviously I'm not a Jack Skellington fan.

:scared1: Bite your tongue! Not a Jack fan...:sad2:

Tom that outfit is cute

A loose tooth, wow

Tom, the outfit is adorable! Tooth Fairy will be stopping by soon! :cool1:

I had so many pages to read that now I am running late!:scared:

Good morning :)

Hi Clare!

Jennifer I do hope you can get your back to feeling better :wizard:

Yikes you all have been chatty! I need to boards to be slow again! ;)

Elizabeth, I hope the insurance fiasco gets straightened out quickly -- how incredibly frustrating!

Bernadette -- I have been hearing so much about those, I really hope they are fully functioning whenever we make it back (which is Spring '09, when they are supposedly going to be finished!). And I hope we can bring our own DS! :thumbsup2 Once upon a time, the Disney Mobile phones were supposed to have the same capabilities -- I'm glad they are finally putting them into effect somewhere (so it would seem)

Tammi, how frustrating! I hope Alyssa is 100% better soon! Um... I'm not sure what exactly to wish for for your ex! On the other hand, I can't believe you and Bob have been dating a year! Why isn't MY time flying?! ;)
He does sound like a winner! :) Have a good afternoon with both kids!

Lindsay - I'm glad your phone is beginning to work! Hopefully it will be fully functional sometime soon! ;) And I was cracking up about that CM... we all know some are clueless, but his response was a classic!

Elin, congrats on your trip being booked! Have you guys done Segways anywhere? :lovestruc

Vicki, when did you get so chatty?! I thought Tammi had no chance to be caught! ;) Ahh, yes. I seem to have forgotten this was a new thread. Doh!

You all are on a sewing frenzy! I don't even own a sewing machine, or know the first thing about using one! :rotfl:

Jen, you should totally do a Disney Cruise! I was just convincing everyone at my work yesterday to take one with their respective families! ;) I'm still bummed that we canceled ours for last fall, and I can't wait until we can book one again!

Glynis, I'm gald Alan made it home safely. I hope your headache goes and stays away for good! I'm sorry you can only take Tylenol... I sympathize these days -- it just doesn't cut it for migraines, does it!?

Hi Clare! I totally already shared your storytelling link. I wrote on your FB wall, but maybe you haven't seen it yet. About a dozen pages back, everyone was raving about your work! :teeth:

Tom, great work as usual. And I love the face Leighanna is making. She is too cute! :)

We're doing pretty well here. Today Kyle is on call (30 hours + overnight), but it's his last 1.5 shifts on his current rotation! This has been the longest 35 days we've had in a LONG time. Next month is only slightly better (but better! I'll take it), and then he goes back to Pediatrics, where at least our days off fall on the weekends together (if and when he gets them). The last 4 months, his 3-4 days off per month are almost always during the week, which is no help at all! He's cracking me up lately. I swear about 3 times a week, he says "So when are the babies coming, I want to play with them" :)
I keep telling him he needs to exercise a little patience, and that it's still going to be QUITE a while

I have gone over a week with very little vomiting, very little Zofran use... which is thrilling. I still have ZERO energy, but we're managing. Thankfully work has slowed down a bit, although there's still a pretty large task looming over my head about figuring out a plan for when I leave. Oh, well. :)

I hope you all are doing well! I will certainly be back on, but in case I forget to say anything, I'll be in Tampa from Thursday-Sunday for meetings, with little to no free time. What the heck company makes meetings over the weekend (and without compensating anything extra for it, mind you?)

Have a great day, DDA!

Good Morning DDA,

Claire - great to see you, your photos are amazing, you and your mother look exactly alike.

Elin - Congrats to Kathrin on the job offer.

Deb and Vicki - love the patterns and material, can't wait to see the finished projects.

Jennifer - Glad to hear that you don't have kidney stones PD :wizard: for your back

Steffy - Good to see you, tell Terry that we are sending her lots of PD :wizard:

Bernadette - your pictures of the castle at night were awesome, I only aspire to take pictures like that one day.

Tammi - I hope that Alyssa is back 100 percent today, sorry about your X, my X dissappeared from his daughter's life, and in many ways it was better, we definitely didn't have a friendly divorce. Bob definitely sounds like a keeper, it reminds me of the day I saw my DH in a "different" light. My DD was sick with a bug but hadn't kept anything down in quite a while, he took us to the emergency room and stayed there with us for hours, she was showing signs of dehydration and they were going to admit her if we couldn't get some fluids in her, between the two of us we kept her sipping water until she was showing improvement. Watching him with my daughter really made me realize the kind of person he is, I can honestly say that I love him more today than I did 22 years ago when I married him.

Elizabeth - sorry to hear about your insurance woes, my medical bills are starting to come in from all this, even with insurance our portion isn't going to be a lot of fun.

Theresa - hope you're feeling better today also.

So after looking at all the wonderful scrapbook pages, I thought I'd try my hand, I hesitate to post this in comparison to the others, but her goes,

I love pictures!

Tom - I love the latest creation, they really do grow up way too fast, my oldest will be 27 tomorrow, I don't know how that happened. :confused3

I love pictures!
That's a heartwarming story, Debbie.

I think the scrapbooking page is great!

Tom I forgot to mention that I love Leighannas dress!

Debbie I think you did a great job with the scrapbook page :thumbsup2

The boards are still running pretty good, but I am back to no email notifications :confused3 Drives me nuts!

The temperature is 50 right now, by this afternoon it is suppose to drop to the 20's :scared1:

Have a good day everyone. :)

Thanks, Marci. :goodvibes I am so very proud of all that they both have done so far in their young lives and can only see better things for them in their futures. If they weren't my daughters I would want them to be my daughters' best friends.

I am excited about this trip too!

Hope you are not too sore as your day unwinds. Hopefully your muscles will tll! ;)

I somehow missed this post last night, but thanks to Marci's quote I saw it. Congrats to Kathrin! :cool1:

Thanks, Tammi. She is still working on things for the other firm that really interested her. After they interviewed her and saw her portfolio they asked her to do a caliper test (personality, etc., I believe) and a set of writings for one of their lines. She is doing all that at work today... :rotfl: She figures there is nothing at her current job to do so she might as well make use of her time!

The firm that gave her the offer contacted her again yesterday with additional incentives, so one way or another, I think she will be taking a job in Boston within a month!
