We celebrated Christmas with my MIL & SIL Friday. My SIL is really WAY, WAY, WAY too generous! She gave Gene a Kindle and me an iPod Touch, Emma a
scooter & American Girl Doll husky & dog sled, Joe an action camera that can go on a helmet and you can purchase other mounts, and Lizzy an autograph basketball and Aeropostale clothes. I had thought about trying to exchange the iPod which is 8gb toward the purchase of a 32gb one but have decided to just keep it as is. The 30gb video iPod she gave me years ago still works so I can keep lots of movies on that and limit the new touch to just a few favorites. I really did NOT want to imply to her that her gift wasn't good enough when it was really way too generous. I have charged both the iPod and Kindle but haven't set either up yet. Also have to read the book on Joe's camera.
Today Joe & I worked on calendar's for both MIL & SIL. I will order them tomorrow.
I'm in a bit of a funk tonight. I'm not feeling up for the new year. There is some really nasty stuff going on at work and while I'm not too worried I'll be a victim I do find it really distasteful. I don't have the desire to look for a new job because my boss has been great but am having a hard time finding motivation with the current atmosphere there.
I also just found out tonight that the aide in Lizzy's classroom last year died this weekend. She was supposed to have hernia surgery last April vacation but when they did her preop testing they found lung cancer. She was 55. So sad.
My foot hurts a bit. The joint is still stiff and the wound itself hurts but really not too bad and I still think my right foot hurts more at this point than the left. I go back to him on the 14th.
