Marci-continued prayers for your recovery!

Elin-I'm so sorry to hear about Bob's layoff.:sad2: It is just so sad to happen anytime but this time of the year seems so heartless. Poor Kristin and Mom! So glad everything turned out OK.

Debbie-YIKES...glad you got your insurance straightened out. I thought his employer was under legal obligation to tell his spouse when insurance changed? That is the way it is in MA. Sorry he's having a hard time dealing with the cut back. I can understand his resentment but understand your worries too that he can't just quit.

Tia-how cool for your nephew!

Deb-YIKES. That must be a bit scary with the layoffs but I'm not at all surprised to hear that you are performing so well there!!!!

Jennifer-what great news about your Dad! So happy to hear he's doing so well!

Jen-good luck with the house hunt!:wizard:

Robin-how great to see you! I see you're just as busy as ever! Lizzy & I (and her troop) are going to a Gold Ceremony tomorrow. Lizzy's leaders want their girls to see it in hopes that they will want to go that far. There will be State Reps there and all-very big deal. :wizard:Good luck with school!

I finished up a few stocking stuffers this week so that I'm nearly all set for Christmas. I made the pattern for the jumper I'm making my niece Wed night, cut it out Thursday night and have it all sewn this morning except straps, bodice lining and hem.

While sewing my doctor called me. His daughter is in Mass General-he didn't say what was wrong with her. I think she's in her 20s. And his Mom had a heart attack and will be having open heart surgery Monday in NY so he's going there. I feel bad for the poor guy! He said his office would try to reschedule for "a Friday". When I asked Friday after Thanksgiving he said he didn't know to call his office Monday. I have a feeling it won't be that Friday. I'm disappointed because I was all set to just have it over with and all set at work. But it is just an elective procedure so not the end of the world. If he can't do it in the next few weeks I don't know if I want to do it too close to Christmas and then January will be getting close to my May trip....may have to wait a year....

We got a new carpet for our family room so we have to try to get that in today. DH is out with Joe picking up the Boy Scout popcorn order.

I got a package in the mail today from Disney Movie Club. I wanted to order the Walt: The Man Behind the Myth dvd for a coworker friend. She & her DH (also a coworker) were at WDW for my bday and they not only gave me a bday pin but they also gave Joe & I fast passes for Soarin on the day we arrived-they knew we really wanted to ride on its 5th bday. Then her DH went to the Walt Disney Family Museum in CA and brought Joe home a nice book. So I wanted to get this dvd for her and I also got Joe the new Sherman Brothers dvd and myself (DH can wrap them up for Christmas) the other 2 dvds coming out-Waking Sleeping Beauty and Walt & El Grupo. They all arrived today (along with a free pin!) and the 3 new dvds are released until 11/30 but they still arrived today also! OH...and got Disney Think Fast for the wii for $9.99.

Now that I'm done Christmas shopping I really need to STOP buying more gifts.....I couldn't resist this for Lizzy last week:
http://www.amazon.com/Harumika-Styl...=toys-and-games&qid=1290276940&sr=8-2-catcorr

I paid $7 yesterday but it is $12.99 today. I actually bought one (different style) at Target too. Not sure if I'll give one to Emma too or keep the "extra" one for a bday gift-I'm sure they girls will have to go to several more this year....

I am home alone. Jeff has gone to waco for a class reunion. its a 2hr drive. he will stay overnight at his dads. The girls are staying over night at my moms with my nephew.

I am so frustrated...I am only averaging 12 hours a week at Target and even though I was told it would go up after Thanksgiving it looks like it is actually going down. So I am working for diddly squat.:headache:

/
Jennifer - enjoy it while you can!

Theresa - That makes no sense at all!! Hope they fix it for you. You should be working more, I would think!

Jennifer - Enjoy your time alone! I'm a might jealous.

Elin - How scary! I'm glad everything turned out okay and that they caught the suspects quickly.

Theresa - I'll bet you'll find your hours going up soon. I can't see them keeping anyone with fairly open availability at only 12 hours during the holiday season. :wizard: that you see changes soon! Also, does your store have a request to trade sheet? My store had a page where anyone needing to trade or get rid of a shift could write the shifts they had to give. My first couple of weeks until I was actually on the written schedule, I picked up shifts that way.

Bernadette - I hope your surgery is able to be rescheduled soon!

Theresa - The best advice I can give you in obtaining more hours is to make it clear that you are willing to fill in for any call ins they may have, if they know you will come in they will call you first.

Elin - I'm glad Kristen is ok, very frightening

So of course I'm sick and my asthma is flaring up, looks like I'll be making phone calls Monday and make an effort to get them to speed things up with the insurance :headache:

Robyn I'm sure you will do fine in college. Good for you for going back. I've been telling Chris that I may go back once both Nick and Hunter are in college. We might qualify for financial aid at that point.

Theresa I hope you get more hours :wizard:

Elin that must have been horrifying for Kristin. I must say that those are some dumb bank robber though. Walking around trying to find a tire rather than finding another means out of town :confused3

Good morning. :)

Robyn - good for you going back to college! I'm sure you will do fine. Plus it's a great example to set for your girls.

Bernadette - good luck with the surgery.

Theresa - :wizard: for more hours.

Debbie - I hope you get the insurance straightened out and that you feel better soon.

Deb - I haven't yet met a crook that isn't dumb.

Yesterday the kids and I spent all day shopping. Well, aside from the 2 hours we spend waiting for the girls to met Emily Osment. For those of you who don't know, she is Lilly, Hannah Montana's BFF. She is releasing her own CD and stopped at our mall to do a promotion for it, sign autographs and have pictures taken. So Alyssa met up with some girls from school and they all hung out in line together. I'd like to know how our little town got put on her promotional tour schedule. I'm sure there is some marketing strategy, but I don't get it. I had a headache by the time we left, after listening to all the tweens screaming over her.

Today is Nicholas' first time being an Altar server at church. He went through the training in October. I hope he remembers what to do, doesn't drop anything and doesn't trip over his robe. Needless to say, he is nervous.

After Mass he has his football party, then Alyssa has Nutcracker rehearsal. While she is there Nicholas and I are going to go see HP. I bought our tickets online so I hope it isn't too crazy at the theater.

Have a great Sunday everyone!

Tammi - It sounds like you and the kids have a very busy day planned! Kristin saw HP Thursday night at midnight and loved it. She says it is so true to the book and can't wait for Bob and I to go see it with her again. I am certain that Nicholas will be wonderful at church today, just as I know that Alyssa will be the ultimate party girl in the Nutcracker!

Becky & I drove up to Marquette yesterday so that we could see Harry Potter with Katrina. We went with Katrina's boyfriend and some of our mutual friends. It was very true to the books. More so than any of the other movies. Couple of differences but nothing that was significant. I so have to reread all the books and rewatch all the movies. I'm also even more antsy for the final movie now.

I would love to see HP, but think I would miss too much with having to run to the potty a lot.

So, we had a celebrity sighting while we were at Disney this time, too bad we had no idea who they were. :confused3

Richie and I were walking through the World Showcase when we realized that we were directly behind a couple of girls who were being filmed, one a brunette with long hair and the other a blonde with short hair, the guy doing the sound told one of them, "Sam, ask her where China is", we walked behind them for a good way and then seperated at the International Gateway.

Later that night Heidi posted on FB that Sam Brown had checked into the AKL, and sure enough that's who we had been behind.

The next day we were at MK, on Splash Mountain when we notice that there was a cameraman filming the logs as they came down the big drop, so of course I was curios as to what was going on. When we got off I noticed that there were about 5 of 6 people waiting with radios on at the exit, I heard one of them ask if they had dropped yet, so being the nosy person that I am I hung around to try and get a look at who "they" were. Three logs behind us an empty log showed up, it had some sort of light on the front, so whoever it was they unloaded before the regular spot. We had to laugh at the camera guy, he had on a hat with Goofy ears, you can't really blend in with the crowd when you have a camera like that.
