She is a peapod..:) Deb, your projects never cease to amaze me!

Jenna doesn't look so enthused :lmao: She is definitely a cutie. Does she have a costume?

Bill was in shock when I put her in a zip-lock bag and then in the pumpkin...didn't want to get her dirty you know?!

Kristine - You all are having fun. Not so sure about Jenna... ;) ENJOY HER!!!

J

Thanks...been meaning to tell you I had GD with Jenna. Ended up doing insulin shots for times a day...was much easier to get under control for me doing that than with diet. Hope you get it under control quickly and easily.

so far so good. But you had the added stress of steroids and not being allowed to walk around after eating. I at least have that option and have not had steroids yet. Hopefully I will not have to have them.

So I have had an interesting past 24hrs. On Tues I had protein in my urine. so after they did a urine culture which was negative. They decided they wanted me to do a 24hr urine collection. So I had to to collect my urine in a jug for 24hrs then take it back to the hospital for them to run it. Hopefully it was a fluke. My Blood pressure has been fine. No other symptoms of PIH( pregnancy induced Hypertension). I will have the results on Tues.

Thanks...

your pumpkin you carved looks GREAT! I let the kids do it on their own this year....the designs are quite "interesting"

Thanks--the one i was behind wasnt mine though haha.. mine was the lopsided cowboy stars but it is the first pumpkin i have carved in years so i was happy lol

My back is killing me. It's been a whirlwind 48 hours, we've gotten so much done, but there is still more to do. I'll share some photos

Yesterday just after I started painting. The room was blue rag rolled with denim curtains and bedding. White shades.

Tonight. I still need to finish cleaning up and refill the bookcase. The mural won't be here until Tuesday.

I upholstered the bookcase with sage and white striped fabric. The window treatment is an awning above white blinds. I slip covered a little bureau and made some of the pillows. I still have another pillow to make.

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:That made me laugh out loud. I think the kids think I've lost my mind.

Jennifer - Good luck on the test results. I hope it was just a fluke!

Kristine - Very cute! I love the idea of putting her in a plastic bag first. Erin tried it with Kaylin after I mentioned Amy's pictures and Kaylin was NOT a happy baby. None of our pumpkins are big enough to put Deva in, though Terra did just carve Deva a special "first Halloween" pumpkin complete with pacifier. :teeth: Deva is going to be a little mouse.

Elin - Sounds like a great event.

Deb - Can't wait to see the room!!

Good morning!

I hope everyone is doing well. Deb, I see you've been busy as usual. I really like the new wall color. The mural is pretty too, but I don't know how well I'd handle looking at that when there are freezing temps outside and lots of snow on the ground. It would make me mental!

I love all the baby pumpkin pictures!

My parents have been in town for a few days. They'll leave tomorrow. They came down to watch Nicholas' football team. They had their first playoff game yesterday, which they lost. I felt so bad seeing all those little guys crying. It was a tough, close game. Oh well, another season comes to an end.

Yesterday the kids carved their pumpkins. Alyssa did Mickey and Nicholas did Malificent's dragon. I'll post pictures later. Mom and I will take the kids out ToTing tonight while Dad stays at the house to hand out candy.

We also watched HP and the Goblet of Fire yesterday. Tomorrow night we will watch HP and the Order of the Phoenix. We need to be caught up on all things HP before our Universal trip in December, which will be a surprise for the kids!

I hope everyone has a happy halloween!

Happy Halloween

Tammi - Hugs to Nicholas on the game, Brandon's game yesterday was similar, they lost by one point in the final seconds, who would have thought that in pee wee football the oposing team would score a touchdown and the point after with 32 seconds left on the clock

LOVE all the baby pumpkin pictures

Deb - the room looks great, and that's quite a handsome little guy too

Tia - I think it's time for some more Deva pictures

People in our community are confused as to when to go TOT, my neighborhood was supposed to be tonight but the kids showed up last night, tons of them, if any show up tonight I don't have anything to hand out, I may go to the store and pick up some emergency supplies.

We carved our pumkins yesterday, Brandon did his himself this year and he did a great job. Aubrey helped clean out the pumpkins, she even tasted the pumpkin, I don't think she liked it because she only tried one spoonful, :rotfl:.

Elmo was a huge hit with our smaller Trick or Treaters

Debbie, I've missed seeing pictures of your grandbabies! They are getting big. Brandon looks so grown-up! Love the pumpkins!

Deb - the room looks good. I like the paint color and the window treatment is perfect.

Tammi - nice to see you here this morning.

Debbie - How big are those grandkids getting?!?!?!? Great pumpkins!

My doc has encouraged me to take our before Christmas trip, though I will have to use a wheelchair and steer clear of the coasters. He thinks my happy place will be good for me.

Pre-surgical physical went pretty well. Everything was good, except I'm anemic and low on vitamin D, and my triglycerides are a touch high, but doc said we will worry about that after my big surgery. Bp was 165, and I usually run in the 110 range, but they know it is due to stress, lack of sleep etc. She put me on a mild beta blocker and I bought an electric bp machine. It's been down at normal since I started the meds. It was even 121 yesterday when they took it before my sentinel lymph node biopsy.

That went well. They took 3 nodes and hope to have the results back on Monday or Tuesday. I'm super sore and sporting a lovely large scar under my arm, but other than that, it's not been too bad.
Prayers for good results!

I think a Disney trip will be good for you. Not really the same but the trip I took in January after loosing my brother was good for me. I wasn't up for all I usually do on a trip having had Whooping Cough and Emma still wasn't 100% after her pneumonia but the trip was good for both of us.

Jacob got to participate in the 5th grade wax museum this morning. He had to choose an important American figure. He chose Walt Disney. He spent all last week researching his life, and writing a paper on him. This morning, he dressed like Disney, we penciled in a mustache on him, and he went off to the wax museum. He had to stand in the gym, while parents and teachers asked questions about his person. He did so well!!! It was a fun assignment!

Tomorrow morning, we carve our pumpkins, harvest the seeds, and roast them! The weatherman predicts rain in the evening, so I'm hoping I can convince the kids to do their trick-or-treating early (yup, our community is doing it Saturday, not Sunday.).
Joe was Walt last year in the Wax Museum. They don't talk in our wax museum-they do a poster board. There were 3 other Walts but Joe's poster was so much better than any of those imposters.:rotfl:

How was your Halloween?

Tonight we are going to the Haunted Tastes and Treats event at Potomac Point Winery. It is held in the cask room in their cellar. It is very spooky down there when they finish the decorating! I am looking forward to this again this year. We really had a good time last October.
Sounds great!

I got a pin code for this spring in my email yesterday. Why could it not have been for nov/dec of next year
I want one of those spring pin codes. I haven't added Dorinda or Kathie to my reservation in the hopes that one of them will get a pin.

Can you tell we are having fun with this baby?! :):):)

:wizard:Hope the next results come back OK or they can control it easily.:wizard:

Looks great! Love the curtains.

None of our pumpkins are big enough to put Deva in, though Terra did just carve Deva a special "first Halloween" pumpkin complete with pacifier. :teeth: Deva is going to be a little mouse.
Deva's first Halloween pumpkin sounds cute. I bet she'll be a darling mouse!

Have you seen all the cute Snoopy T's (short & long sleeved) at Old Navy? They have some cute Disney ones too.

We also watched HP and the Goblet of Fire yesterday. Tomorrow night we will watch HP and the Order of the Phoenix. We need to be caught up on all things HP before our Universal trip in December, which will be a surprise for the kids!
What a great ticker you have there!

Nice! And I have to agree your grandkids are getting so big!

Glynis-I bought this book for Joe for either Christmas or his bday from Amazon. It came yesterday and it is really beautiful. I may even send a copy to my old scout leader-I was an explorer scout in high school-the coed division of boy scouts. Thought you might be interested in it.
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0756656346/ref=oss_product

I know Joe will love it. He told me he saw an ad in his Boys Life for a special edition of monopoly but we really don't need another monopoly game....I just looked it up-it is 1/2 price on the boy scout site-there is a store close to my office...http://www.scoutstuff.org/BSASupply...CTS&c2=CCORNER&c3=BSA2010&c4=&lv=3&item=24253

I have to get going on making Emma's costume! I spent all day yesterday making Lizzy a Candy Corn dress. I have to say I'm not very happy with it. Lizzy loves it so I guess that is what really matters. It is going to be cold tonight-not sure how Lizzy will be warm enough.

The girls had their girl scout Halloween party last night. Emma had to wear last year's dog costume. She'd be much warmer in that tonight but I really have to make her the vet costume today. I have the pants cut out-those will be really quick. Hopefully the top will be relatively quick too.....
