Just not an option for me since they will not consider any sort of inducing with VBAC. Blah!

My cousins wife had to have cerclage with all 4 of her pregnancies. They found out that her cervix was "incompetent" after 5 miscarriages. Anyway, the way hers worked was that the doctor and Ann chose a day for delivery, and the cerclage was taken out early that morning. Usually she would deliver within hours. But, like I said, her cervix is incompetent.

The man that called me today was involved in the original deal. Our salesman went to him twice to get numbers. I have a feeling that the guy that called me today was the one that actually made the error and he was then trying to pass the blame off on the old salesman. We saw the salesman to to him twice and he came back to us directly with the numbers. I don't even think he spoke to the owner today as he kept saying that he was because in the end he said it was the owner's sister that made the decision He also made inappropriate comments about how if we didn't want to spend more money then that is Not the unit for us. He was really talking down to me. I wish the owner had called me himself as I had plenty to say I can honestly say that I am not looking forward to picking up the new camper on Friday. I can just imagine the tension.

I am thinking a discussion with the owner is still in order...espescially if they want any good advertising from this.

Theresa, I know when I was in high school we were required to take 2 years of foreign language, then in college I had to take a minimum of another semester. DS's school only offers French and Spanish. The AP English class I took in FL was one that TX didn't accept/recognize, but that was a LONG time ago.

Elin I agree with you.

A close friend is an AP English teacher and she always says getting a kid ready to apply for college is like building a tapestry. She must of known what she was doing because her kid got a full ride! But he not only had accedemic excellence, he was into sports, music, school politics and did major community service. How he did that all remains a mystery.

Now in Jonathan's case, he was on an all AP track and went into college with 39 credits. What was nice for him is that he did not have to take a single Gen Ed class or the foreign language. I anticipate Jackie moving in the same direction.

Now my Christopher may pose a challenge. He is the only one of the four who is not academically driven. It will be a whole new world for me. Hopefully he doesn't drive me over the edge.

Unforturnately nowadays it seems that we have to make our kids competitive for college, just like we have to make ourselves competitive for the job market. They have to stand head and shoulders above the rest, who are already standing pretty darn high.

Kristine - I hope I'm not getting too personal, but why are you against a c-section? Did you have a bad experience?

Very true...I would have NEVER made it through with the class load my kids have.

My first 3 were regular old vag. births and I felt great. 24 hours after giving birth I went home...was on my feet and never looked back.

Now, Kirsten was an unexpected c-section...and in comparison I thought it was god awful. I was definitely NOT on my feet a day later...and it took along time before I really felt good. So I can't relate to wanting a c-section...for me it was a MAJOR pain.

However, I am trying to get to a mental place where I don't go crazy when they utter the words "your getting a c-section" I am getting better...I only go mildly nuts now and only swear a little!

Can you call the owner and lay some groundwork so that Friday is not so contentious? I wouldn't want to deal with that man again, either!

I'm actually hoping that I don't have to deal with this guy on Friday. We are not financing so it should be very quick paperwork. I've thought a lot about the whole situation and my gutt feeling is that "Pat" looked up the wrong camper as our trade in giving a much higher trade in value. Once he actually pulled the file on our trade in (we bought it there and suggested they get all the info from the file on Saturday) he realized that he had made a huge mistake. I think that is when he started calling me to "fix" his mistake. It is unfortunate for him that I know my rights as a consumer and Chris works at an auto dealership and verified what we had thought. Once that down payment was accepted the deal was done. His only hope was that I would cave and pay more. The reality is that we had a budget going in and the price we agreed on was already slightly higher than we had wanted which means we had no wiggle room. Had I said fine, send me back my downpayment he would have also been off the hook. Amazingly I kept my cool, never raised my voice and pointed out the facts. Chris was not so cool so it was a good thing that they didn't call him.

There is NO WAY DS will have that many credits. The school prohibits more than 6 AP classes, so the MAX he could get in a year is 6. AP courses don't start until junior year, so the max he could get by graduation would be 12. If he did summer school he could probably pick up 2 more half credits for a grand total of 13 prior to high school graduation. He won't qualify to take AP math in high school, so now we're looking at a max of 11.

What did Jonathan do to end up graduating high school as almost a college JUNIOR?

Deb, good luck with the camper. The dealership pulled a fast one on me with my Accord that ended up costing me another $1200. Unfortunately I didn't realize it until the next day. I got a fair deal on the car, but it wasn't as good as the deal I THOUGHT I was getting.

Cassidy is getting out of a lot of pre requisites because of her ACT score and her grades....she is finding out that it is a bit strange to be going to a community college right out of high school. (her text yesterday said I know I am young but geesh) This particular one seems to have a lot of non traditional students. But, by doing it this way she is almost guaranteed to have her teaching certificate in 4 years.

and see I didn't have to take a foriegn language to graduate from the same school as Cassidy. I do have a Spanish Lit. minor so I have 3 years of Spanish....which means I can understand about every 3rd spoken word and every other written word.

Abi is thrilled with ASL as the field she wants to go into would more likely use it than french or spanish. She actually said, "What, am I going to speak spanish to the animals?" (She wants to be a marine biologist or zoologist)

Was he taking college classes at night while he was still in high school? Even if DS started now (which he can't, because of the minimum 16 age restriction) I don't think he could manage that many credits.

Good for her! The community colleges around here have young students during the day and older students in the evenings.

Around here you need to be fluent in Spanish to return something to Ross.

The most AP credits DS can swing from high school would be 7, but it will likely be fewer than that. Some of the Art classes are AP level, but he would have to have room in his schedule to do cross-cluster classes. He has to take 4 core and 3 Theatre EVERY semester, so that only leaves 2 more slots. If one slot is a foreign language for 2 years, and the other slot is Dance, he MIGHT have ONE open slot by the time he is a junior. If he does Speech and Health in the summer then he might have 2 slots open his senior year. But his other classes will be so hard he won't have the strength to face an AP art class.

Nick can opt to take Dartmouth courses instead of high school courses starting his junior year. There are restrictions as to which classes, but the option is there.

Cassidy could have too...she didn't.

So far I haven't seen anything that indicates Abi can do the same.


Cassidy seems to be enjoying her classes for which I am eternally grateful.
