Tonight was the first of our three huge recitals. We have another tomorrow and one (actually three) on Wednesday night. Then I just have my class recitals left to do. Unfortunately my Virginia Federation of Music Clubs' annual convention comes smack dab in the middle of my recital schedule. So, it will drag on forever, I fear! I had one recital on May 12, and the last day of recitals will be June 10.

Tomorrow is Nicholas' quarter-final game for soccer. They are 3rd seeded, only losing one game. I have no idea how that worked out. The ex-inlaws will be there (ex-MIL, ex-BIL and ex-stepdaugther) since they are in town. I'm dreading seeing them, don't know why, I only saw them twice my entire marriage. Excluding the SD. I just want to be able to go enjoy the game and watch my son. Now I have this baggage to contend with.Blah.

We've got Kaylin today after all so we're getting ready to head to McDonald's to play for a little bit. After that, I think we're going to do our Target Baby Registry and then will pick Chase up on the way home so that the two little girls can entertain each other. Tonight the big kids are having a sleepover so it's a long day, but hopefully not too tough.
Tomorrow we're driving to Cookville, IL (near Normal) for graduations. Two of my cousins' kids are graduating and most of their (really big) family will be there. It's my mom's half-sister who we don't see very often so this was a good chance. Luckily, we talked my dad out of driving over early enough to go to my uncle's church service as well. I told them I really didn't want to make Terra sit in a 3+ hour car ride, then immediately in church and then pretty straight to graduation. That did not sound like a good plan at all. Mom was on my side since it also meant leaving here at 6:30am so it was all good.

We're off soon to watch my neice's lacrosse game. Chris is working this morning, hopefully he'll be done before I have to go to work at 3:30. I also need to get to the store to buy some sort of containers for plants for our deck. I bought some petunias, pansies and begonias and need to get them transplanted. Normally I don't do flowers as we are gone so much during the summer, but since we'll be having a party for Nick's graduation I thought I should do some flowers this year.

Thanks for all the good vibes. They won, 10-0, so they'll play in the semifinals in two weeks. I said hi to the exMIL. Xbil totally ignored me. He could have at least been cordial in front of the kids. Oh well, it will be at least another year before I am forced to see them again, if not longer.

There is some sort of armed standoff going on just up the street. Spotlights and lots of State and local police with guns aimed at a house. I was at work, but apparently it has been going on for several hours now. Sure wish we knew what all the hub bub was.

I've got to finish reading my last chapter for my class, so I can take the chapter test, and then the final next week! Got to get it all done before we leave for California on Friday!
