DDA Chapter 25

I will! I cannot figure out why airlines make it so difficult to find this kind of information.
I think it's because they themselves don't even know.

Elizabeth - I have no idea what section 20 of your lease states, but I hope you get it resolved peacefully.

We are going to El Paso for lunch today, in celebration of Cinco de Mayo. The restaurant, that is. Not the city.

It is the section about prohibited behavior. It specifically states that loud and obnoxious behavior is prohibited, along with behavior that infringes on the comfort or convenience of other residents.

I am PEEVED that nobody from the leasing office has called me, so I am about to call them. I want to know EXACTLY what they are going to do, what the timeline is for them to do it, what they expect ME to do for future events, and what they plan to do if these people continue to violate the lease.

Hi everyone! Alan and I got back at about 11 last night, and I'm back into the swing of things here.

Seattle was great fun! The first few days, I helped out Alan and his reporter, but Monday and Tuesday it was just me and Alan. We visited all the spots I remember from my younger years (Grandma and Grandpa lived there). We ate yummy seafood, and walked all over the waterfront!

Best of all... I suggested the Duck tour to Alan and he agreed! We rode the duck!!! Of course, it was windy and rainy, but we didn't let that bother us!!! I'll get some pictures posted probably tomorrow.

Deb - I'm sorry about Colby's scarlet fever! I'm glad it's not too bad.

Terri - I'm so glad that things are looking up for your vertigo! I'm studying the ear right now, so I understand how amazing it really is! Hopefully the adjustment will help.

Elizabeth - good luck with the neighbors and the leasing office!

Theresa - When do you leave for Maryland? I'm glad that Abi is ok with this.

They are in blatant violation of Section 20 of the lease. The leasing office can make them comply, or not. If not, then obviously the lease terms are completely negotiable and I can move out whenever I feel like it. But first I will contact the corporate office and let them know that I will sue them to recover my relocation costs. I might also sue the neighbors in civil court just to inconvenience them.

What are they doing next door?

I've been in a funk all day, I don't even know why. I did run a few errands that I needed to do today and bought stuff for tacos for dinner tonight. It's Cinco De Mayo afterall. I also spent 7 minutes tanning just to brighten this gloomy day.

Tomorrow morning I'm working at school, then Colby has teeth pulled at 1:30.

I finally have a surgery date, the 17th. That gives me two months to get ready for Disney, that's the important thing right?

What are they doing next door?

It's the people below. In the Knocker's old apartment. It is a dad and his college age son (supposedly). I have never met either of them. One of them came STOMPING up the stairs at 5 AM, BELLOWING that he was locked out, then SLAMMED the front door so hard the building shook. And he acts like that ALL THE TIME. They stomp, shout, slam, blast their TV, pretty much all hours of the day and night. DH has gotten into a confrontation at least once with the younger guy for slamming the door. It was like 28 degrees outside, and the guy claimed the front door slammed because he had the back door open. Idiot.

Debbie, I hope the surgery goes well and that you have a speedy recovery!! :wizard:

I'm glad you finally got a date. That should give you some time to heal before your trip. I'm sure it will be better than it is now.

Elizabeth, one of our neighbors bought a new pet today...a rooster :headache: I hope that it is far enough away to not be heard because I am NOT a morning person. Their rooster is less than a football field from my bedroom window. My nephew came over to tell me (it isn't their rooster) and I said if it woke me up it would be a dead rooster and he ran right over to tell the family :rolleyes1

Deb,,,,hate to break the news but when the rooster gets to crowing, the sound carries forever:headache: Our one neighbor has a rooster and now has two peacocks!!! :headache::headache: Between them and the wind chimes, there is a lot of noise coming from his house. I thankfully don't hear any of it because I use ear plugs at night. Who knew peacocks could be so noisey and they can fly too!!! :lmao:

Debbie - I am glad you have a date for surgery. And I am hoping that 2 months will be the perfect amount of healing time!!

Yes -- do your physical therapy and you should feel much better than you do now. I'm glad you have relief in sight! :goodvibes

Deb, if the people below us don't shut up I might want a rooster! ;)
I hope Colby's extractions go well! :wizard:

It was completely silent last night and this morning. So either the letter made the Slammers nervous, or they aren't home.

Terry, I didn't know peacocks could fly!

Kristin and her friend are halfway to WDW now. They were so excited last night I am betting neither one of them got much sleep. They had to get up at 4:30 which is closer to the time they go to bed than when they get up. :rotfl:

Elin - our Coldwater Creek opens today!

I hope Kristin and Ashlys have a fabulous time!

I know! I have to resist the urge to run over there. :rotfl:

They arrived early, got right on ME and their room was ready at Pop when they checked in at 9:30. They are in the 90s area so it is a long walk. But they are young!!

Elizabeth, I hope that your neighbor stays quiet.

Debbie, I'm glad that you have a surgery date that will give you time to recover before WDW! Lots of pixiedust: for that.

Deb, good luck to Colby. :wizard: I hope that the rooster doesn't drive you nuts. And I hope you get out of your funk.

Today was the Mother's Day Tea at preschool. Those things are a ton of extra work and time, but the kids were so darn cute today, and the mothers/grandmothers/aunts seemed to appreciate it.

Last night Laura was inducted into the National Honor Society. It was a very short ceremony and well done. Matthew refused to apply on some principal understood only by obstinate teens, so I had never been to one before. One of Laura's friends said that last year, it was two hours long, so I was worried.

AP exams are in full swing, so it's a little stressful around here. My stomach is in knots, and I'm not even taking the tests. Maybe it would be better if I were. :rotfl:

Next week is going to be busy. Matthew is coming home! Laura has three APs next week. There is all the regular stuff plus a high school orchestra concert. Then prom is Saturday, and Miles' birthday is Sunday. Not only that, but preschool ends on the 19th with a big picnic, so there is a lot to get done for year-end and also for the picnic.
