Well, it seems I have a runner in my family. Alyssa finished the 1 mile race yesterday with a time of 10:12, finishing 85/150, in the 8yo girl heat. She loves to run and I told her if she keeps it up that someday we would run in the family run at WDW. Problem is...............I'm not a runner!!!!

way to go alyssa!

Happy Birthday, Heidi!!

:woohoo:Congrats to Alyssa.

Work was uber slow tonight. The fact that I was missing 2 of my kids games made it much worse. To top it of I missed Hunter scoring his first goal EVER. Both teams lost, but it was much better than Friday night's games.
:woohoo:Congrats to Hunter!

:hug:Sorry you missed it.

Good morning. :)

Today is going to be busy. My parents are coming tomorrow so I need to get the house cleaned a bit. I got half of it done yesterday so I just need to finish up today. Plus I want to get out and get a pedi and go to the grocery store. I hope there are enough hours in this day.

I swear it's harder on us than it is the kids. When my schedule changed to where I have to work every other weekend, knowing I would miss a lot of Nicholas' games, I thought it would be hard for him, and me. But with the extra amount of time off I have during the week, it has more than made up for it. As soon as the game is over he calls and tells me all about it.

Congrats to him for his first goal! :woohoo:

Just a reminder to everyone to be careful what you post here on the DIS in terms of personal info. A friend of mine had some really ugly things happen to her over the weekend, and the person who was doing the ugly things used info & photos from the DIS to craft some nasty rumors. :sad2: The person wasn't just out to smear my friend, but also my friend's son. (He is an adult, but it was still an evil thing to do.) Mean, hateful and WRONG on every level. :sad2: There is no telling who lurks on these boards, and obviously some of them have a LOT of time on their hands.

I recently got a shock when DS discovered that Googling your own name will bring up things that you post on public pages on FaceBook. You can delete the posts, but they are archived so they will still come up AFTER you delete them.

That is scary! I am so sorry for your friend and son. Dh is always telling me that I'm sharing too much.

I just Googled my name (including my maiden name as my middle name). I didn't find anything about myself (thank goodness), but there is someone else with the same name, and my maiden name isn't that common. I also found an obituary for someone similarly named.

I'm in a funk today. I think that it is the weather, overcast with scattered showers. I'm working tonight which means I'll miss the boys games tonight and I've never missed any of their games :sad1: I just have to keep telling myself we need the money to do the trip.

I hope you are feeling better today. I am in a funk today. There are several small things stressing me out which really shouldn't be. One of them is AP exams, and I'm not even the one taking them. It's all small stuff like that.

Congratulations to Hunter! I'm sorry you had to miss it.

Checking in...thanks for the kind words on FB. The lithotripsy went well....they blasted the stone and took out both stents...making Bill a very happy man since the stents were driving him crazy.

His sugar levels are still sky high...so today it is off to the endocrinologist. 2 weeks of nothing but hospitals and doctors....wears on the nerves! The nurse thinks he will be put on injectible insulin.

Hope everyone is doing well...or as well as they can! :grouphug:

Tammi - I love that Alyssa likes running! Kathrin is also a runner. Sometimes. When it doesn't interfere with being a girly-girl. :rotfl:

Deb - :yay: for Hunter! I agree with Tammi. As long as you do your best and continue to see some of the games, the boys will be fine. I went back to work when Kristin was in first grade. My hours have always been 3-9 PM but I managed to get to the most important things for the girls. They have turned out pretty good, I think! ;)

Beth - I am sorry you are having a "funk" today too. It is always worse when you know there is absolutely nothing you can do about what is causing the upset! I hope it passes soon.

Kristine - I am glad things are going better. :)

I am very glad that they lifted the "boil" order in the Boston area. Kathrin had nasty water to deal with both at home and at work. She said the grocery stores in her area were all out of bottled water.

I am taking Kristin to get a manicure this morning. Tomorrow she and Ashley are getting pedicures for their trip that begins Thursday. They are so excited to be going to WDW together. alone. without me. :rotfl:

Good morning everyone :)

Deb congrats to Hunter!

Tammi congrats to Alyssa!

Jennifer hopefully your dad will be on the mend soon :wizard:

Kristine hope Bill is better soon as well :wizard:

I read along, just nothing new to talk about in my life. :wizard: & to all.
