Good morning :)

Jennifer your garden sounds wonderful, prayers for your dad

I had a great day. Chris and the boys let me sleep in until 11 :woohoo: I brought the boys bowling for about an hour and spent the rest of the day relaxing and reading Kingdom Keepers III. What a great book. I couldn't put it down. It left room for another book to come :cool1:

Sounds like your yesterday was pretty lovely! :goodvibes

I just received the three book set from Amazon on Friday. I have read the first two and wanted to read the third on my trip. Amazon.com was offering the hardback set of three for not much more than just book three, so I bought it! Glad you liked it Deb. I can't wait to sit on my balcony at AKL and read!

Vicki - sounds like you had a wonderful weekend! I can't wait to see the pictures of both the apartment and the trip.

Good morning, DDA! :sunny:

Happy Saturday, Tammy!

Jennifer, prayers for your father today.

If there is any DDA pixie dust to spare, my brother could use a little. He is stuck in England. He was on a plane to fly out Thursday that never left the ground. They can't tell him when he will be able to fly home, though they are saying this Thursday looks like the earliest. He has tried for cruise ship passage, flying from other countries, and everything else he can think of with no solution. Trains, buses, and rental cars are completely unavailable right now, because everyone who was planning to fly within Europe is hitting those hard. Fortunately for him, he was on business and his company is paying lodging and food.

Thank goodness for that. I feel so bad for people that are having to pay for all the extra lodging, food, etc. I hope he gets home soon!

:wizard:That he can get home soon. There is a bright side though, he is not on a plane with a pilot that has zero visability. Better safe on the ground than risking a dangerous flight

I ordered all three books from barnes and noble the other day. They are going to be my birthday present. I am going to save them for the drive to Disney.

Jennifer-continued prayers for your Dad:hug:

Beth-:wizard:Hope your brother finds a way home soon.

Deb-sounds like you had a relaxing day! I may ask DH to get me that book for my bday. I haven't read #2 yet.

I have a friend who was in Europe on vacation for 2 weeks. She was supposed to fly home yesterday. United told them the soonest they will get out is this coming Sunday. I cannot imagine having to foot the bill for an additional week in Europe! I hope your brother gets home sooner rather than later, Beth.

Okay can 2010 be over already. Olivia finally woke up at 11:00 complaining of Headache, sore throat, tummy ache says the light hurts her eyes. She feels a bit warm to the touch. Taking her to the Dr at 2:20

I hope she's doing okay and it's gone as quickly as it came.

Any news from your Dad?

Sounds like Denise could use prayers as well. She just posted on FB that she's on the way to the ER with Brantley-Kate. BK's having her worst migrane ever and has been throwing up since 6am. None of her meds are working so they're on the way to the ER.

I just got home from taking Olivia to the Dr. Not sure what is wrong as her tonsils and throat look fine. But she was/is complaining of Headache, sore throat and tummy ache. She has not had a runny nose but has had a cough. They swabbed her throat for strep as this is the way she acted when she had it the other 3 times. Just as we pulled up at the house she throws up. At least it was on the drive way and not in the van. All she has done today is sleep. she slept on the way to the Dr and on the way home from the Dr.

Mom said the xray they did last tuesday showed fluid on both lungs. They only drew off 400 cc of fluid.

Prayers and pixiedust: for Olivia and Brantley-Kate! I would much rather be sick than have to see one of my kids sick.

Thanks for the well-wishes for my brother. He says he thinks he's realistically looking at Friday or Saturday but maybe he'll get lucky sooner. Overall he's in a much better position than many. Our school hosted some exchange students from France who are supposed to fly out of JFK tomorrow.

ETA: His newest update is Saturday. A one week business trip is turning into 2.5 weeks.

Even worse, it sounded like the volcano ash could shut down the engines. I think I would definitely rather be stuck someplace for an extra week or two rather than on a plane where the engine shut down.

 for you brother for having to deal with it Beth.
