Okay, so I still can't get an trip report in yet as Terra is on the other computer, but I'll get it up later today or tomorrow for sure. However, I did get a chance to update our tickers a little bit. Unfortunately, our December trip is off, but as you can guess I'm not going to argue with the reason why....

Congrats, Tia & Phil!! :cool1::lovestruc

Tia, how exciting!! :goodvibes Congratulations!

AirTran just e-mailed that our flight home from Orlando is now leaving at 1 PM instead of 8 AM. That's fabulous news, because we have to be out of the villa at 11 AM, and the Town Car will come for us at 11 AM. The question is how many more times will they tweak it? :scared: 5 hours is a pretty big "tweak", although this time it worked in our favor.

Oh Tia congratulations!!!!!!!!!

Thanks everyone!!! Obviously it was a very big surprise, but a great one all the same. I have been feeling great, not even a little nauseated. Just feeling very tired most days. Without any morning sickness at all and the surprise of it has made it seem surreal, more often than not. Terra is ecstatic! She has been asking for awhile now when she can have a brother or sister.

And that announcement brings me to why my weekend was so drama-filled. The day before we left for camping, my other mom going overnight bailed on me. I still don't know why. Her email simply said "R and I won't be able to go after all. Sorry for the short notice." Um, short-notice? How about almost meant no one could go due to adult shortage? I called the leader we were sharing our lodge with and she had plenty of adults so she agreed to let me "share" her moms so that we were covered. Plus, I had two coming down for day-only on Saturday.

So, Saturday morning I wake up with my stomach bothering me some. As the day progresses, the pain was progressing similarly to my diverticulitis. Well, the doctor didn't want to chance anything since they hadn't done any ultrasounds yet so they wanted me at the ER to be checked. So, I figured out how to juggle my girls with various leaders I knew at the camp weekend. Then I got to break the new to my mom about the baby in a sentence that included the words "and I need to go to the ER". (Felt TERRIBLE about that turn of events.) So, Mom took me to the nearest ER and they did some blood work, etc. Then, that hospital didn't have ultrasound. So because it was after 9pm, Mom dropped me off at the next hospital and went back to stay overnight with my 4 Scouts. Kristi then drove out to meet me at the hospital. I got to that hospital at 9:45 and left at 3:45am. Fun! It just took a long time to get to the ultrasound and then another bit of time for them to read and report on it.

In the end, everything was just fine. The baby looked good and I am right at 9 weeks. The diagnosis was confirmed as the diverticulitis and I left with an antibiotic script. We decided then to just go to the Denny's across the street to kill some time. After that, it was still about two hours until the camp gates would reopen so we decided to just go sleep in the car on the road into camp. Got another hour or so of sleep and then the ranger opened the gate. I got back to camp before my girls woke up and was able help them get packed up, cleaned up and back home again. I guess Terra had gotten a little upset when I didn't get back closer to bedtime, but had some great moms and a few other Scouts who helped her calm down and fall asleep. One of the fourth graders even sang her some lullabies. She was asleep by the time my Mom got back to camp.

Sunday afternoon I got to take a nice nap. Then went to bed as soon as we got home from my dad's birthday dinner and slept for just over 12 hours. Most of yesterday I was still a little out of it, but am finally feeling much better today. My tummy feels a little iffy, but I think that's still just carry over from the pain. If not, then I guess a little "morning sickness" is finally settling in.

What great news. How is Phil feeling about this? I'm glad you had the ulrasound and that it is all good :goodvibes

2 days down...3 to go.

Tomorrow could be a tough one. I'm not sure how the special needs boy that I will be caring for will do with me. He is known to be difficult so fingers crossed that he will cooperate with me. I am also working the closing shift at the Restaurant so I certainly won't get home before 9:30 or 10:00

He is doing great with the news! About a year ago, he did a 180 and started asking when we could have another baby. Obviously, the answer was (supposedly) when we have our own place, but apparently God has different timing than we do. ;) Phil is beyond excited.

Speaking of the whole housing thing...we're working on it. We're working with his parents on a downpayment/cosign/help with mortgage idea for the time being. They have finished with the work project that took most of the available cash so the next "project" is apparently our house. Hopefully, we'll start looking at something and help make payments for a while until they are at a place where they can pay off the mortgage. I'd love to get things moving before the April 30 deadline on the homebuyers tax credit, but I don't know if it will go that quickly. At the very least, I'm shooting for mid-summer so that we have time to get moved and settled before the baby comes at the end of Sept/early Oct. Mom has already said the baby needs to come early as she's out of town starting the day before the due date.
