In an effort to be more of a cook, I have my corned beef in the crockpot...This is the first time using the thing & it's my kind of cooking..drop the food in & leave! I made green jello & green frosted cupcakes for the kids dessert tonight. They cannot have a party in school (they did in NY) because they do not want to offend anyone. so we will have a little party ourselves. All my kids are in green even Katie!

I have to pick up rye bread.....oy! I forgot that! Back to the supermarket. I think I will get some cool whip for the jello & put a drop of green food coloring in that. I feel like Julia Child!!!:lmao::rotfl2::rotfl::laughing: NOT!!

Hey! Don't sell yourself short! You are doing a ton of stuff! Julia didn't start out as a chef, you know.

Beth - I'm doing those rainbow cupcakes, too! If I get ambitious, I'll do them this morning, and take them to my SIL's house. She's watching the kids until we get back, so I could take some over to their house for all the kids.

They worked, Glynis! They were a little time-consuming but really easy to make, too.

Awesome!!! I think I'll put them off until tomorrow. I ended up making a batch of Shamrock drops for Katie to take to her church group tonight. Now, I've got to get ready for the race.

I'm glad to know that they work!

The Corned Beef Brisket is on the stove and just a cooking a way. The smell is heavenly.:thumbsup2

It is amazing how little things our pets did make you miss them even more. Miles was always at the door to greet us. I missed that when I came home from getting groceries. I know it will get better as time goes on. :goodvibes

:hug::hug::hug:Theresa:hug::hug::hug:

AnneMarie/Beth/Terry-your dinners sound great!

Glynis-:wizard:good luck!

I just hope I don't meet any of the bathroom cops on my trip like the ones on that thread. I better come up with a script for myself to use calmly if I do so I don't get myself kicked out of the park for assult.

Thinking of you Theresa -:hug::hug::hug:

No special St. Patty's day meals on tap here

Call me niave, but isn't part of the reason for a companion bathroom is so that families can use them? Small children should never be sent in the restroom alone, geez.

Not according to the bathroom police on that thread. They say those bathrooms are "companion assisted bathrooms" and they are ONLY for people who need assistance using the potty. They claim once a child is school aged (1st grade) they are old enough to go potty alone and it is only the "snowflake" mother's irrational fears that make her "want" too use those bathrooms. They claim noone has EVER been molested in a Disney PARK bathroom. There are few of those bathrooms in the parks and they need to be left empty for only those who really "need" them.

I do get that those facilities aren't there for just anyones convenience and shouldn't be used for changing into costumes just because it is easier. I don't consider a single mom with son too big for ladies room but too young/immature to use the men's room alone or stay outside alone while mom using ladies room a misuse of those facilities. Especially if they go about their business quickly.

I imagine even those with strongly/nastily voiced objection here wouldn't be that aggressive face to face. At least I hope I don't run into any of them.

I'm the opposite. I would LOVE to run into one of those bathroom police. I'm all up for confrontation on that subject. I'd win too. ;)

What are you doing 5/5 to 5/12????

I'm not up for confrontation with irrational people.

I wonder if the bathroom police are one in the same with the parking lot police. There is a thread on the CB where people, well mainly the OP, are complaining about people who back into parking spaces.

I told Dana about this & he had the best response for people who think that those bathrooms are only for certain people.

"Its an accommodation, not a reservation." :thumbsup2:laughing:

I saw that thread too..crazy!!

How do they know if they backed in our pulled through? :confused3 I'm a pull througher if I can help it! :rotfl:

I pull thru in a parking lot too. I have trouble backing especially if I have suvs or vans or trucks parked beside me. Pulling out is just plain easier.

Stephanie and I made some changes on our cruise. We dropped DCL transfers and upgraded our cabin. For $55pp extra we are now a cat 4 on deck 8 :thumbsup2:cool1::banana::woohoo:

I am soooooo looking forward to this cruise.

Well, I'm back from the 5K. It was a fun experience! Alan and I just stayed together and jogged a bit, then walked a bit, then jogged a bit, etc. We talked and talked, and just enjoyed ourselves, without killing ourselves. Our goal was to finish in a time under an hour. We managed to finish in 45 minutes! When we got our race cards, we found out that I placed 10th in my category, and Alan placed 11th in his. Not too bad!

After the race, we went to the Blue Fish for sushi. I've never had it before, so I was a bit nervous about it. I ordered a California roll, and it was pretty good! I didn't really enjoy the seaweed wrap around it, but other than that, it was really tasty. We ordered some edamame for an appetizer, and I'm telling you that I could make a full meal of that stuff! I'm officially addicted to steamed edamame! I'm off to the store tomorrow to get some and try it out at home!

Anyway, now we're home, and my muscles are all seizing! I'm going to take a hot bath and go to bed. As we pulled into the house, Alan asked me if I'd be up to another 5K a week from Saturday... :scared1: I really don't know what to say. While I had a good time tonight, I wasn't really prepared for this. It would be nice to do some training before trying again. We'll see!

Night everyone.

I have to wonder what people like that are like in "real" life! First she tries to argue that it isn't any safer to back into a space but then when it is pointed out that she is wrong on that point she admits she just doesn't like it.:confused3 I liked your response to her!

I also like to person who said they do it just to annoy OP.

I was hit in a parking lot once when I was backing out. I was just putting the car in drive when someone across from me backed into me. The insurance company ruled that we were both equally at fault even though the damage would support that I was there first-my bumper side-her bumper center. Anyways with that ruling neither of us would have to pay the deductable BUT she sued me.:scared1: Actually she sued DH (the car was in both names). Can you imagine what a joy DH was to live with during this LONG process? It was finally all settled out of court. Since then I always pull through.

I like that!

You know the loudest folks on the restroom thread were NOT disabled.

I did end up going to NYC. I went to Toys R Us, Juniors, spent some time at Central Park, went to the Time Warner Center, then to the Director's Guild of America building which was where we watched the movie.

Waking Sleeping Beauty was great. If it is playing near you go see it. After wards I got to meet Don Hahn, Peter Schneider, Patrick Pachecho and Marge Champion- the reference model for Snow white, she was there to watch the movie. She is going to be 91 in September. They were all very nice. Tom Schumacher the head of Disney on Broadway was also there. I got to my hotel around 1am, but wouldn't have got home till after 2am. Went to work and got home around 6:30pm

Theresa- Hang in there.

Elizabeth- Glad Carter got in.

Sending tons of good thoughts to the rest of you.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

That's a good one.

I think I'd just throw back that they can use it too as they clearly have a mental disability :rotfl:
