Good morning DDA!

We were going to go to the pool but Daniel is coughing his little head off so I think we will forget that. We went shopping yesterday & got some great deals & went to Cheesecake Factory for dinner. I miss my beach which is where I would be right now if we were in NY. It's been almost a year in our new home & thankfully all the kids like it (even Katie has made many friends) & I can find my way around (I am terrible with directions). We have all gotten used to the relaxed pace, friendly people, & no traffic, so that is a wonderful thing. :) I do find that my "New Yawk accent" sticks out like a sore thumb here though. :rolleyes1 :rotfl:

Have a great day!

Congratulations, Jennifer!

Relish that morning sickness...it means all is well! :goodvibes
thanks
yeah. :rolleyes1yeah.:rolleyes1 I know, but then I cant get anything done around the house right now cause moving makes it worse right now. Blah.

Good morning all! I am headed to my friends house to visit her (she hurt her ankle and is just taking it easy but is going stir crazy) then hopefully back here to lay by the pool!

Hope the cough goes as quickly as it came. I'm glad you all are settling in so well. It was a big move, but it's gone well it seems.

Enjoy! We're going to get ours open today so it should be swimmable in a week or so. Today though the kids have a pile of sponges and some buckets. It's my "Mom is not tying and then helping clean up lots of little water balloon pieces" solution to the "can we have a water balloon fight" question.

I need to go out to clean the camper for the season. We will be heading out on our first trip on Friday and I haven't touched it yet  Life just seems out of control busy right now.

Not much going on here today. Well, I guess BBQ with 16 is much, but I'm not doing much for it so it doesn't count as much. ;) Cooking the eggs for deviled eggs right now and them I think I'm going to take my book out for some breakfast and quiet. This afternoon the whole family plus Erin's inlaws (they just moved here from CA earlier in the month) are coming over. We'll eat, help Dad open the pool and then not much of anything. I'm finally getting the whole "make everyone else bring food" thing down so all I did was buy buns and corn, have condiments on hand, am making the eggs and Mom made potato salad. Everyone else is bringing the rest. So much easier on me and the budget!

It seems that way because it HAS been! You've been crazy busy. Camping should be a nice break from it though. Hope the camper isn't too much work.

Every year, Fredericksburg National Cemetery puts the cost of war on display. More than 16,000 white-paper luminarias burn in the darkness, representing the more than 15,000 Union soldiers interred there after the Civil War. Kristin and I joined the hundreds and hundreds of people who made the trek to see this amazing display. Boy Scout troops in our area spend hours placing and lighting the luminarias. Our local trolley company shuttles visitors from University parking lots to the cemetery. The National Park Service has personnel giving talks about the battles fought. Marines stationed at Quantico play "Taps" every 30 minutes and a hush falls over the crowd each time. It is just amazing to see. Here are a few shots I took last night.

Very moving, Elin. Someday the kids and I will make it. Nicholas has learned about the wars, but not Alyssa yet. Maybe in another year or 2 they will both understand the significance.

Thank you for finishing your TR. What a wonderful time you 3 had!

Wow, that really does make one think. It would really make a statement if someone lite a field of luminaries for all those that have been lost in our current conflicts :goodvibes

I was looking up something on allears and found this cool blog entry. It's a bunch of "what doesn't belong" pictures sets. There are some really neat ones and several that I guessed what was right, but didn't know where they were from.

This is the "quiz" without answers:

Pretty good, hasn't complained of sickness yet. Yes she will find out the sex.

How is she feeling? I hope she does not get this darn morning sickness. Is she going to find out what she is having?

the girls and I went up to the hospital today to see dad. He was doing pretty good. still not sure when they will let him go home. He has Chemo on Tues and Wed. so prayers that his lungs can tolerate the chemo.

The girl that Nick has gone out with a few times just texted him that she wants to just be friends. He is devastated :sad2: It is just way too hard at this age. On one day and off the next. I just hope he doesn't let this defeat his self esteem :wizard:

The camper is cleaned and the blankets are in the process of being washed. I hit the grocery store so most of the groceries are in there. Tomorrow we are working on more wood and I need to get clothes into the camper. Hunter has his last lacrosse game tomorrow night.

Terra made me a peanut butter and banana sandwich.:cloud9: I wasn't feeling the greatest this afternoon and she came in and offered to make me some lunch.

I just saw a recipe for a peanut butter, banana, & raisin tortilla sandwich that I wanted to try. It sounds really good. I've never had a peanut butter / banana sandwich of any kind so it will be a new one for me. I bought bananas yesterday so that I could try it.

I'm quickly checking in. Busy day. We split and pile several cord of wood this morning, then I brought Nick and his girlfriend to the movies and I went to work. It wasn't very busy, but still sucked up 5 hours. Now Chris and I are watching Harry Potter. Nick is playing video games and the other 2 are with Grammy and Papa.

We are watching Harry Potter now. There wasn't anything else decent on TV.

Something a bit different for autographs and better for slightly older kids is the book From Screen to Theme The book has places throughout WDW where you can find animated movie references. It is kind of like a book for Hidden Mickey's but it is for all of the animated movies up through Wall-e.

For each movie it has a short movie summary, list of locations throughout all of WDW that you can find places to see things from the movie and some short fun facts about the movies. So for Peter Pan the references range from Peter Pan's Flight to Tinkerbell being on the Fantasyland trash cans to the Peter Pan viewmaster card in line for Toy Story Mania. The characters loved looking at their entries and where they can find other places to find things about their movies and they can also sign by their entry in the book.

I need to work on going through all of my pics from my trip. I have a 3 day weekend, was supposed to work today but was then notified the place I was supposed to go was closed. I am being very lazy today but I really need to clean.

I also have been thinking about purchasing this book. It sounds like a neat one to me. Different than other types of books regarding Disney World.

What a sweetheart you have!!! How sweet that she took care of you while you weren't feeling well.
