It's a week from Wednesday, the 10th....because of my family history of blood clots I get to start giving myself shots tonight to prepare for the surgery.

It's even worse for a person who hasn't been able to trust anybody other than herself for anything.

I know it's tough, but you'll make it through! You've got two great nurses to help you out. We'll keep praying!

We are having new touch screen cash registers installed tomorrow. we were told this Friday, so no one is trained to run these. My manager, another empolyee & myself went to another store that has them(3 hour drive each way )so we could try to familiarize ourselves with them. We have 3 other employees making the trip tomorrow. So needless to say come Wednesday it is going to be very hectic & tiring at work.

I love the new system, but a few weeks warning so we could train properly would have been nice!

Talk about short notice. I hope it all goes smoothly.

Well, my taxes are done and I am beat. I do think that my bed is calling as tomorrow is the long day. Of course, Wed isn't any better as it's meeting night too. Ack. Thursday. now that will be a good (read: slow) one!

I heard at work last night that people are not getting back nearly as much in refunds this year compared to previous years due to Obama's plan I don't want specifics, but did you notice a difference?

I haven't done mine yet so I can't speak personally, but I knew that this was going to happen. It only stands to reason. The government lowered the taxes taken out of paychecks so people would be "earning" more money. Well, what did everyone think was going to happen at tax time??? They still have to pay the same amount in taxes, and since it's not coming out during the year, it will either come out in the refund, or they could potentially OWE taxes. I hope that's not me!!!!

It's because that money should have shown up in paychecks spread out during the year. We finally received my W-2 yesterday, so we haven't done our taxes yet. I just hope that we don't end up owing.

It's very overcast here this morning, but I know better than to think that Spring will get here any earlier than usual. Sorry that sounds kind of pessimistic!
