DDA Chapter 24

I know absolutely nothing about football. When my husband & son watch it I always pick a team with the nicest colors. :rotfl:

Done with housework...linens done, dust gone, & floor cleaned...time for my reward...a cupcake!:yay:

Beth & Anne Marie good luck with your trip planning! I am looking at going the 1st part of Aug. No planning done on my part yet, once I book a room the fun will begin lol I feel so out of the loop beings I haven't been for almost a year & it will be 2 years for the boys by the time we go again! I just hate when real life gets in the way :rolleyes1

For me it's more like trip wheedling than trip planning, and it's not going so well. :rotfl: It's fun to think about what we could do, though, and better than anything else going on around here right now.

My Super Bowl pick would be:

Baltimore Ravens vs. Dallas Cowboys....I think...lol:rotfl2:

Beth, if you Google "NFL Post Season" it brings up a chart with the remaining teams and who they are matched against. I think there are 8 teams left. They will play each other in 4 games this weekend, and that will leave 4 teams. Those 4 play next weekend, and the 2 left will go to Super Bowl. I ONLY follow this as it relates to chip sales and commissions. Otherwise I don't care. :rolleyes1

I think I was too hasty in cancelling our super cheap Universal hotel ressie. But oh well. I think we are going to do one night at a US/IOA hotel. We can do hotel for a night for just a bit more than it would cost to go to US/IOA from AKL on 2 days and pay to add the Express Pass thing to our existing tickets twice. Thanks, Chanon! :)

CSR was really nice...loved it...All the mod rooms are the same size & it drives me crazy that they only have a trundle bed at POR. It would be great to take my family to CSR.

I am fine with Value but when you have 2 rooms then it's almost as much as a deluxe with a good discount.

The boys have not stayed there & I think they would like it. I know Riley would enjoy the pool & Garrett as well, but now he likes to look at the girls too :rotfl: I also like that they have their own buses like PC & the food court is not that bad, I just won't have hot wings late at night again

It sounds like there will be a first week in August DDA meet this summer :cool1: Come on DDA, you know you want to come. How many more people can we convince to join us? :goodvibes

:cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1: I look forward to seeing everyone again!

It was cold, but with the heavy blankets wrapped around our legs, and under our butts (the safari seats were like sitting on ice cubes), it wasn't terribly bad. Lots of animals were out....the wildebeasts were playing, the lion was pacing (we even heard a roar), got some great photos of the giraffe right next to our jeep, lots of cattle and tommies. The only thing we didn't see were elephants, because there was a medical procedure going on (so they say) and because of the cold. Which was a disappointment, because they are my favorite.
Thanks! That sounds good! I think Emma would get a kick out out of a loin's roar! I was afraid I'd drag her out of bed on her birthday and then not see anything. I really enjoyed it in May but wasn't sure what to expect in the cold.

I just started my color coded matrix of fun and I am amazed by the limited hours in July. HS closing some nights at 7 and only have Fantasmic 3 nights. One day there isn't even a parade there :confused3 I'm used to extended summer hours. Maybe things will change before then. Otherwise I'm not sure how they will fit the summer crowds into 3 Fantasmics in 7 days and only one show per night :scared1:
They always seem to add the 2nd Fantasmic show. They even added them last January when the parks were relatively quiet.

For as cold as it was, the animals were very active. Even the hippos were moving around.

Out of the 4 nights we were there last week, one night had Fantasmic, with 2 shows.

Janet - I'm so glad to hear that the laptop is on the move. Now I just hope that it is everything that you expected. :wizard:

Me too! She has been in constant communication with me since I filed the dispute, so I am pretty confidante that all will be well :thumbsup2

Thanks for the information! I didn't understand how this game worked, so I should have asked the question differently, but it doesn't really matter for anything. I guess they split into eight groups and drew numbers to see what order they would be able to pick in. Each group picked one team, and the two who picked the teams playing in the Super Bowl "win." Her group was 5th to pick, and everyone mentioned here was already chosen, so they went with the New Orleans Saints. It's really just for fun, though, so it doesn't matter.

None of us follow football (or any pro sports) at all, including dh and the boys. Dh and Matthew sometimes watch the Super Bowl for the ads, but now they are easy to watch online. Super Bowl used to always be right around my mother's birthday when I was growing up, but I guess they must have pushed it out a bit at some point.

Good morning, everyone! Wow! Everyone must be really busy, or really down with the January blahs! Not too many posts to catch up on.

I get to take Katie to the dentist today. Hooray! Well, we'll see! He couldn't see all the kids today, so it's Katie's turn, and the rest go in 2 weeks.

Yesterday was crazy warm, here. All day long I could hear the icicles on my roof melting and dripping outside. Every once in a while, I'd hear one break off and fall. It was wonderful! However, we are due for a storm today and tomorrow. It's supposed to be rain today and snow tomorrow, but who knows what will really happen.

I'm having some real problems with my coding class! The textbook is not very user friendly, and when I email questions to the "instructors", they take forever to answer. In fact, I asked a question 2 days ago, and they still haven't responded. Last night, I decided I couldn't wait any longer, and went ahead and took one of the exams. I lucked out and got 92 percent on the exam, but I'm really scared for the future! I should be getting responses to questions more quickly than that! Oh well, I guess I'll just do the best that I can.

I hope everyone else's Wednesday goes well!
