DDA Chapter 24

Not sure if any of you saw this but they are having Tables in Wonderland card holder special events in January and February. They released the information really late, although perhaps I just never heard of them since I do not have a TIW card. The Lights, Camera, Action dining experience sounds awesome.

I hope everyone is feeling better.

Today one of my co-workers broke her arm at work. I hope it heals quickly. She tripped over a cord and fell.

I finally got a second key for my car now I need to get it cut and programmed. Hopefully it does not take me 6 months to do that like it did for me to order it.

We have started making our blankets. So far we have one crocheted. One that just needs to be hand stitched closed. The other two need to be sewed together, so all 4 of us have made one.

I am probably going to the Farm Show this weekend. I have never been. My parents used to go before I was born and they have went the past few years.

Hi Becky! I just found it it was Farm Show weekend! Should have known with the cold and the snow.

My DGD has a competition on Saturday, I have the big game on Saturday. Sunday is my DD's grandma's birthday and she wants to take her to dinner, so she is taking the kids with her.

Don't know what I'm going to do....

Well, I'm calling Member Services first thing in the morning. I found really good airfare if I come down on Thursday. My DD said he could miss two days... He's in kindergarden and doing really well. Then I could bring him home on Wednesday and have two entire days with Vicki and Chuck!!!!!

Chris got his ornament from Terry today. It's a Jim Shore figurine and it is absolutely fabulous. Chris LOVES it

I have to add this for my DH, who is very happy right now, Roll Tide! I felt bad for the Texas QB, but even worse for the backup, I can't imagine the pressure the poor kid felt, he did a great job once he got in the groove.

I'm starting to feel some love for the "Ice Cream Parlor", the carpet is being installed today. We pulled the old carpet out last night and uncovered the ugliest tile floor I have ever seen, I can't imagine anyone ever liking it no matter what decade it was.

Good morning, DDA! 18 degrees here. I think DH said with the windchill it is 4. Yay.

Miss Princess turns 4 today! Lots of family in town for Pixie's baptism, hopefully I will get off early so I can go look for something to wear!

AT&T managed to restore our service by 5 PM yesterday so I won't have to call and shout at them. I did start researching other options for internet, though.

Guess the boys ended up with a 4 day weekend, no school today! The country roads must be bad, I thought for sure they would be going & was very surprised but the boys are happy. Garrett was already in the shower by the time I checked lol

Update on the laptop! I never heard from the seller yesterday & no laptop was delivered(mailman finally made it around 6pm). I filed a dispute with Paypal & this was in my email mailbox this morning from the seller:

I just spoke with my associate and during the holiday rush, apparently three items were overlooked in shipping - your laptop was one of them. This is why it hasn't shown a shipping update. I have just created a new shipment through UPS and it will go out Monday with a guaranteed delivery of Wed night (it says end of day). I have entered your email address on the UPS site so that it will update you with new news as to where it is once it's shipped.

I apologize for the inconvenience. I also hope that as soon as you receive the laptop you will close the dispute in paypal and my funds will transfer back to my account. Please respond.

I really think I was going to be taken had I not filed a dispute. I am still irritated about this, I mean she did not notice the laptop still laying around All I can say is bull....! She knew she had not shipped yet & her not communicating with me till now proves it(to me anyway). I already have the tracking number for UPS & really wonder why it is not going out today???????? So I will wait till Wednesday, if/when it arrives it better be exactly like describe or my dispute will not be closed & I will get a refund.

Morning. I haven't looked at the temperature outside, yet, but it feels VERY COLD!!! Our high yesterday was 35, and it's supposed to be about the same today. Definitely a "bundle up" kind of day!

I have to get the kids moving soon, as they have play practice at 7:30 this morning. My bowling league starts up again this morning, and Alan has offered to stay home with Timothy so I don't have to take him! What a great guy!!!

I finished getting Christmas put away yesterday, and now I have to get the furniture rearranged. Maybe I can talk Alan into doing it while Timothy naps this morning. It would be nice to come home from bowling to see it already done. However, I'm not holding my breath!

We don't really have much going on this weekend, which is good, since it's going to be really cold. I'm trying to talk Alan into going to Zupa's Cafe for dinner tonight, but he's really leery of going out to eat right now. He's in a weight loss competition and weigh in is on Monday. So far, though, he's lost 10 pounds this week. I'm thinking he could choose a low fat soup and small salad for dinner and not totally de-rail his efforts. We'll see what happens.

Janet -- I agree. I wouldn't change the dispute until you have laptop in hand since she didn't bother to respond to all your emails.

Glynis -- I think your plan of low fat soup and salad would work well. My problem is I like to load up on fattening things at the salad bar! I ate my way through holiday break and am now paying for it. If I would just count the points and stop snacking, I could get it off quickly, but it's never that easy for me.

Dolly -- if you are still reading along, congrats to the Longhorns and your son. For them to stay in the game like that with a true freshman quarterback with no playing time is a true testament to their heart and strength. I'm sure they were disappointed as it looked for a while as if they might pull out a cinderella story, but should hold their heads high! They did Texas proud.

I have had one issue on eBay that I had to dispute and it was rectified as soon as I posted that dispute. I have every hope that yours will be made right by Wednesday, Janet. Good luck!
