I think it's a celebration of the completely hand drawn and fairy tale movies that Disney films were built on.

I got the time goofed up so I am watching the special.

Katrina just called to tell me that we have to go see "Princess & the Frog". She is all excited. Almost as excited as I am. We'll be going to see it next week-end.

The Fantasyland Expansion was revealed at the D23 convention in Anaheim earlier this year. It looks to be amazing, doesn't it?!?! I didn't know about Star Tours closing though. I did read that the photo op outside the building with the "scooter" that kids like to get on is no longer there. Or, at least they removed the vehicle.

We are! The kids got free tickets when we were at WDW a couple weeks ago.

The Fantasyland Expansion was revealed at the D23 convention in Anaheim earlier this year. It looks to be amazing, doesn't it?!?! I didn't know about Star Tours closing though. I did read that the photo op outside the building with the "scooter" that kids like to get on is no longer there. Or, at least they removed the vehicle.

While the expansion looks incredible, I still can't help but lament the demolition of Toontown and Alyssa's milestone spot! My heart jumped out of my chest when we walked into MK and saw that the Roy and Minnie bench (Matty's milestone spot) was replaced by Tin Soldiers and Christmas decor. Luckily, the bench was just moved in between Town Hall and the Fire Station.

Chuck got our Disney Files magazine from DVC today. I was surprised not to hear any of you talking about the news. He says that Star Tours is shutting down in October of 2010 and Star Tours 2 is opening in 2011. He says they are also doubling Fantasy Land in size. The largest expansion in the 40 years or something like that. It sounds like there are some cool changes for Dumbo. There are pictures in the flyer. I can't wait to get home to see more info.

There is a big article on Allears that tells about the expansion and Star Tours. They also have artist renderings of what it should look like. This news was released back in September at the D23 Expo. Maybe you missed the chatter about it.
