Nothing in our area. I wonder if I should put in some random zip codes to see if any online or mail in opportunity comes up:confused3
We have some really neat options here...there are spots for Habitat, at the Great Lakes Science Center, a local nature center that gives you the chance to work with animals...

...and since I haven't posted much lately - Christmas morning!

He is to cute Chanon

Good morning. :)

My parents arrive today, so there is lots to do before they get here. Plus I really need to start laying things out for our trip.

Magic Kingdom Fireworks Dessert Party
UPDATE: The Wishes Dessert Party will be entering a period of refurbishment as of January 3rd, 2010. While there are no guarantees, this event is expected to return sometime in the spring.

Wonder what "refurbishment" is being done? :confused3

Chanon love the pictures of Alex!

Tammi enjoy the visit with your parents :goodvibes

It is -11 degrees here, not sure what it is with the windchill :cold: If I did not have to pick up Garretts cake, I would not be going out at all today!

Very cute pictures, Chanon! :goodvibes

Thinking of you, Bernadette.

Hope you have a nice visit with your parents, Tammi.

Hope Garrett has a great birthday celebration, Janet!

For all of us dealing with the arctic weather, stay warm!

Hope everyone is having a nice, long holiday weekend! :wave2:

Life never slows down around here!

We lost some siding in the crazy wind on Christmas Eve and this time, it can't just be tacked back on, because it was literally ripped in places. Our Escape is also in the shop, due to some engine issues, and the price has gone up three times as they keep finding other issues. Luckily, Kevin's mom had an extra car to loan us this past week.

Alyssa and Matty were goofing around with closing bedroom doors the other night, and Noah was trying to play, too. Of course, he got his finger caught in the door. The blood and screaming was awful, but luckily, it turned out to be minor when all was said and done. Matty, on the other hand, was not so lucky, on New Year's Eve. He was running around the house and managed to fall and hit the side of his head on the corner of the doorway between the family room and kitchen. He is our first child to end up in the ER, and he's modeling two lovely staples for the next few days.

A Z-pack put an end to my sinus infection, but none of us are 100% right now. A friend told me yesterday, "You finally look pregnant!" :teeth: Less than 9 weeks to go! I have a long list of things I'd like to get done before Sammy arrives, but as you all know, it's hard enough to get the day-to-day stuff done!

Take care, everyone! :)

Tammi, don't you read Fancy Nancy? "Refurbishment" is a fancy word for "Closed". ;) They are going to shut it down for the "low" season and debate about bringing it back as crowds increase for President's Day. Oh, and they will raise the price. Just wait and see.

Janet, that is brutal weather! :scared1: 32 degrees here. My dorky DH has gone out to the lake. Not sure how long he will stay out.

Chanon, very cute pics!!

FYI, if you are doing Wii Fit it is best to pick either "light" or "heavy" clothing for weigh in. The custom setting is very confusing. I accidentally made it add weight for clothing last night intead of subtract it. My Mii puffed up and the Fit got all snarky with me.

I got back on this morning. I lost 7.5 pounds overnight. It said I am approaching goal at a nice pace. Let's not forget the time I gained 2 pounds and it demanded to know what sort of shoddy behavior was responsible for my enormous girth. But losing 7 pounds overnight merely causes it to say "Good job." No more custom settings to subtract clothing!!

It is :cold: here. Last night the weatherman said that our temps over the next 10 days or so will be colder than our normal January temps, which is our coldest month. BLECH!

I know it is nothing compared to what some of you are dealing with, and you have my utmost sympathy. :grouphug:

Tammi - you picked the right month to go to WDW, I think! :goodvibes

I meant to comment on this, too. You are so right, Elizabeth. That's my exact prediction, too, and I love your Fancy Nancy reference. :teeth:

Amy, glad everyone in your house is still in one piece! When DS was in preschool a little girl actually severed her finger in a door.
Princess LOVES Fancy Nancy. I gave her the "Splendiferous Christmas" book, so I think she has 3 or 4 different stories now.

Thanks Amy, today is house cleaning, yuck! I am picking the cake up today so I do not feel rushed tomorrow. I will be putting the decal on myself, I thought the lady was going to have a cow about it. She made me feel to nervous about it, so I said I would just do it myself

Big round of  & :wizard: for you all Amy! Hope things slow down for you & I can't believe Sammy will be here soon!
