Happy Thanksgiving to all,

I work in the morning and then we are having dinner at my youngest DD's today is my last day off until the 4th, so I had better make the most of it.

Deb -

For everyone traveling have safe travels

Good Morning DDA!

Safe travels to everyone "going over the river and through the woods" this Thanksgiving.

Debbie, I received my ornament! I LOVE it! Thank you for bringing back a little piece of Disney Christmas magic to me!
I will try to post a photo of it later!

Off to finish putting all the outside lights and decorations up before the colder temps hit and the snow flies later this week!

Have a safe and Happy Thanksgiving FRIENDS! I am truly thankful to have found you!

Good morning, DDA!

Deb - I hope the MRI results are conclusive. DS has had several MRIs and he always fell asleep - guess he felt cozy in there!

Safe travels to everyone! :wizard:

Debbie - I do NOT miss retail this time of year! I hope the next few days go smoothly! :wizard:

Tia - Good luck with the car!

I'm signing off. I'm sure I'll talk to you all over the next few days.

Happy Thanksgiving to all!

We're home. He did fabulous. I don't think that I could have laid that still for so long. The worst part for him was the IV. He has a huge phobia of needles so getting him through that is a challenge, but once the IV was in he plowed through it. Hopefully tomorrow will bring good results. I'm not sure if I could handle bad news.
:hug::hug::hug:Hunter remains in my prayers.:hug::hug::hug:

Good morning! its finally Dallas Day :)
Have a great trip!!!

I could use some happy car pixie dust over here. When I took Phil to work this morning my car had a pretty yucky gas smell. It seems to be coming from under the hood. When dad gets up I'll have him take a look at it, but I really need it to be something quick and easy (and cheap!). We're already without Mom's car until the money for her new radiator comes together after Christmas. A costly repair to mine would be an even bigger mess.
:wizard:Cheap, quick & easy!!!:wizard:

We leave this morning to go to my parents. I hope to be on the road by 10.
Safe travels!

Are we going to try to meet to do Tower of Terror before the 2pm Mama Melrose adr????

Well, the car is getting an oil change so we shall see. They are checking the smell and also why I seem to be burning anti-freeze. Luckily, the anti-freeze is as simple as topping off the overflow every couple of weeks so even if that repair is costly, it can wait. Dad couldn't see any leakage causing the gas smell so hopefully the shop can find a good cheap reason.

Safe driving everyone who's on the road today! May you all enjoy your time with family.

I am off to finish the last little bit of holiday cleaning. We're in the homestretch now and may even be able to shampoo the carpets tonight like mom was really hoping to! And later today...cinnamon sugar pie crust! One of my favorite treats.

Works for us.

Tia, is it possible that the gas smell was from another vehicle? I keep my car set to NOT pull in outside air, but the other day there was a stupid landscape truck in the lane next to me and the fumes in my car were OVERPOWERING. I pulled into the bank so I wasn't near the truck anymore, but the smell was horrible. I had to roll down all of the windows and turn the A/C as high as it would go until the smell ran through. I honestly thought for a few minutes that it was my car. Hopefully there is nothing major wrong with your car! :wizard:

That's what I thought at first because there was a noisy pick up in front of us at first. Then the rest of the drive I was alone (it was 5am) and the smell never went away. When I got home and popped the hood it was pretty strong. Unfortunately, it's me. :(

ouch, $850 to fix my van. We have been getting hit from all directions with unexpected expenses!

We are at the eye dr. Katie is being taught how to put in contacts. :scared1: she is such a drama queen so me and the kids are in the waiting room. There's no way I would go in the room with her. This is her 2nd try, last time was too freaked out to touch her eyes like that.:rolleyes1

Vicki - LOVED Donny's freestyle. I'm thinking that he is going to win!

He won! He won!!!!! :dance3: :cool1::cloud9::cheer2::dance3: I haven't seen the final show yet. I was hoping to watch it online now but it isn't online yet. I drove home last night. However, Chuck watched it for me so he could report the results.

My girls were the same way. I hope she can get used to them.

Gotta a Santa question for you all. (not for little eyes)

Do you always give your child a gift from you as well as Santa or are all the gifts from Santa?

The reason I ask is since my kids all are getting that 1 big expensive gift from Santa (which looks pretty small under the tree) I supplimented with clothes & books in big boxes so it looks like alot when they actually come down Christmas morning.....well I was hoping they will think the trip to Disney a few days before Christmas would be their present but I am not sure if the 2 younger ones would be dissapointed not seeing something from mom & dad.

Santa has already started wrapping so if i decided to make the clothes from us then I would have to re wrap those so its not the same paper as Santas.

So, what do you all do?

Santa only ever brought one present for the girls (and me when I was growing up). It was usually the best present or the most wanted. All other presents were from us.

hmmm....

but I also have always had presents under the tree from me (notice I said me...not Jim and I).....mine have always outnumbered Santas. Santa has always just given one present (usually the one they reallllllllllly want) and the stocking. I am wondering what our tree will look like this year. :guilty:

I did just pass an initial phone interview for an electrical company!

This is the same for my girls. They always got lots of presents but just one from Santa and lots from us.

See I think I have it all backwards, Santa brings everything cool & he gets all the credit!:lmao:

Congrats on the phone interview I hope that turns into a 2nd round!:thumbsup2

Yes, I wanted equal billing at least. Santa brought the one most wanted gift and filled the stocking with little gifts so he could be cool but Mom & Dad were cool too for ALL the presents they bought.
