Deb, I canot even begin to imagine the scare you went thru. Then with the other two watching. It is a very scary thing to see.
I congratulate you for quitting. That needed to be done. You just don't need that added stress in your life.
Deb, please give Hunter a gentlefrom me.

Chris thanks you for the birthday wishes. They were perfect. We certainly needed a little sunshine in our day.
We were awaken at 5:45 this morning with a thrashing sound in Hunter's room. We headed into his room to find him in a full blown Grand Mal Seizure. Chris called 911 while I got him onto the floor. He was completely nonresponsive, eyes wide open, but no one home. He was breathing and his heart was beating. I did my best to keep his attention (I have no idea if I did or not) Chris handed me 911 and used the other phone to call my SIL next door. She ran over (she's a nurse) we got some table sugar and managed to get a bit into him through clenched teeth and dry lips. Eventually he began to utter nonsense words and he became combative, trying to get up. The Ambulance came and we checked his sugar which was normal, but we had gotten some sugar into himWe got him into the ambulance and off we went. We were probably 15 miles into the trip when he finally came back to reality and started talking and making complete sense. He seems completely fine now. The Dr. really told us nothing. We have a follow up with a pediatric neurologist on Friday. In the thrashing he managed to rebreak his clavicle and much worse. They are treating it as they were, but the 8 weeks start over. Nick and Colby saw all this happen so they were really upset. They didn't go to school, my brother and SIL kept them. Oh, I decided that my stress levels are Way too high at this point so I called and quit at the Aquatic Center. So I guess this is a day for the books.
Happy Birthday Chris!

so it turns out not only did LUMC mess with me while I was there....it continues on. They don't have to pay into the unemployment coffers so I can't get any at all.
I have to do 40 hours of volunteer service for us to keep our food stamp benefits.....and I had less than 15 days to do it this month (and I was sick last week, so there goes another 5) and working within the parameters of the Work Force Center and Goodwill is going to drive me nuts....basically I have to work 4-9 hour days before Thanksgiving and they don't allow for but a few volunteers on Wednesday (which I found out today) and it has to be during the traditional work week.
I did have an interview today for a job I had put in for yesterday after I got home (so less than a 2 hour turnaround.....4:30 resume sent....6:30 phone call asking for interview)
We're getting ready for bed. I'm nervous about what "could" happen and praying that nothing happens and Hunter is also worried that he may have another seizure if he falls asleep. Thankfully we are both exhausted. I'll try to pop in before school with a nighttime update. Thanks again for being here.
HAPPY 7TH BIRTHDAY COLBY!

Elin - we just stayed in an AKV studio, I'm not sure there would be room for a roll out even if you didn't pull out the sofa, but the sofa makes into a full size bed, maybe mom and daughter wouldn't mind sharing.
