Tom, long time no talk stranger.

Glad to hear everyone is feeling better, sorry you won't be able to go Disney in Dec.

I see Debbie posted a picture of us, please ingor me. For some reason after riding Splash I got so warm that by the time we got back to the room I needed to shower before going to the lounge.

Hi, DDA! :sunny:

Nice to see a post from Tom this afternoon. :goodvibes I am sorry your trip is off but happy that you all are feeling better now.

Happy Saturday, DDA!

After 2+ hours on my own, plus a little help from Phil and Terra, the yard is finally devoid of leaves! And that time was all the backyard, we finished the front yard earlier in the week. How seemingly little tree-ness in our backyard produces 8 big piles of leaves that require 20-some trips to the front curb with tarps full of leaves, I don't know. Thankfully, the city comes around and vacuums them up so I just have to get them to the curb. I don't even what to think about how much more I'd have to do with the bagging, etc.

Tom - So good to see you! I'm glad that you all are finally feeling better. I hope that's the end of it for your household!

Janet, Chanon (and hopefully Anne Marie!) - Yeah for the tickers! Either way you decide we should have a chance to run into you all!

Kristine - Sounds like a great trip planned!

Heidi - Hope you're still having a great time. I love checking in on your cameras!

I want this too! Anyone have the Wii Fit? Do you use it, is it worth it?

We have one, and I used to use it a lot right after the baby was born. I really enjoyed it! I plan on getting back into the groove of using it. I really liked the yoga aspect of it.

After calling Verizon directly they did send me a new Driod. However it did not come with a battery. So I just took the battery out of my old Driod & used that. I sent back the defective one. So far it works so maybe all this drama is behind us.

Sophie got her booster flu shot today...still no H1N1's around here.:confused3

We ended up at the mall just looking around & had dinner at Chili's.

for some reason they usually don't send a new battery...or often a battery cover, weird!

Did someone post about a good deal on Ugg boots? I seem to remember reading it, but not where it was.

That was me! If no one has reposted t, I will see if I can find it.

ETA: I found the link & the sale is over, sorry.

well its Strep.
:wizard:Hope she's feeling better soon! There is a lot of that going around here too.

Have you tried uploading to Google Docs and then printing from there once at home?
I might have to try that but it shouldn't be this hard!

::yes:: Chanon has one too & hopefully Anne Marie will be adding one!
:woohoo:I'm sure you guys will have a blast! Hope Dana schedule works out so Anne Marie will get to go too!

:wave2:
Good Morning DDA!
Remember me?

I haven't been on the Dis for so long, I missed it. I do keep up with a few of you on FB though.
How is everyone doing? I see that Amy and Heidi are on their trips, and a lot of new trips are coming up.
We just got done with a bout of the flu bug in our house, hopefully it or any other crap won't rear it's ugly head any more this year.
Leighanna is doing really well in school, all A pluses. She is just too bright for her own good and is growing up wayyyyy to fast! She lost another tooth last night that she has been babying for too long.
No new trips on the horizon. Our Dec. get away was thwarted by Angie's boss, and if she didn't like her job so well, I would have told her to just quit. But jobs are hard to come by, especially ones that you like, so we will just have to move our trip to a time that she is able to go too.

I will try not to be such a stranger. Hope eveyone is doing well!

Sorry you guys have been sick. Nice to hear Leighanna is doing so well in school. Hope you can find a way to schedule a trip soon!:wizard:

I had this post all ready to go this morning when we lost electricity. When we loose electricity our 19 year old hard wire smoke detectors screach the entire time the electricity is out.:headache: I've asked DH several times to replace them so we all went out to breakfast and then went to Lowes to buy new hard wire smoke detectors with battery backups. DH spent most of the afternoon figuring out which circuit breakers went to the 2 smoke detectors-don't know why that was so hard. We still don't have the new ones installed.

I spent the day making Christmas gifts. I really want to be done before my trip!

Heidi-I used to be a real ride wimp! But I had this thrill ride junkie in Lizzy. She was so painfully shy that I felt like I had to encourage this uncharacteristic side in her! I managed to overcome most of my fears but still didn't like Splash too much. Then I bought a copy of the Song of the South movie. Now I can enjoy the theme of the ride more and relax a bit. I still don't love the drop but do enjoy the ride now. I still don't love ToT though. I've promised Lizzy I would go on ToT with her in Dec if she keeps up with her homework at school.

Jennifer - I hope Olivia is feeling better today.

Bernadette - That's one mighty brave homework incentive. Impressive! Better yet, I hope that it works.

I am off to try and finagle myself some sleep. I've been tired since I woke up and tomorrow may or may not be much calmer. I'm tempted to skip church and have a quiet morning, but I did that last week. Guess we'll see what the rest of the week looks like and decide from there. Night all!

Hello

I have an entire day off tomorrow :cool1: We are planning to construct Chris' new portable garage. I also need to work on my resume. There are plenty of other things to do around here so I'm sure my day will fill up quickly.

Just wanted to check in. Today has been crazy busy! I started and finished all of my report cards, did some food shopping, stopped at a food drive th at some firemen I know organized, and then I got lost in a book for awhile! Im ready to go to sleep now!
Tomorrow is.....foooootball day, of course! My dad will actually be at the Cowboys game in Green Bay so Im jealous, but cant wait to watch. I have a christening to go to in the early afternoon but should be home in time for kickoff :)
Hope you all had a great saturday!

Well we had a rough finish to what was otherwise a really good trip, we had breakfast at Boma which was good but we think Tusker House is much better.

Then headed out to MK to spend our last few hours. They opened Space Mountain in test mode and of course I had to give it a try. The wait time was 45 minutes but I was willing to wait to see what all the new changes were. It looks like they have some new "graphics" that you see while in line, the rockets are still single rider but they are either new, of have been completely redone, the upholstry is definitely new. So we wait in line all this time, load up in our rocket, get to the top of the hill where you blast off in 3 seconds, and everything stops, the lights come on and we just sit there. We hear them announce that do to technical difficulties they are going to have to shut it down and everyone must exit at this time, so we sit and wait. We start hearing announcements that we should stay seated until our host or hostess arrives to assist us. Finally after what seems like forever two young boys show up, they are both out of breath, saying that that was a lot of stairs. I have to admit that I was in a bit of a panic, I wasn't sure that I was going to be able to climb out of the rocket at the angle we were sitting, luckily I managed and we all climbed down single file and were lead out of the ride. I know it was test mode but I was surprised they didn't at least offer us a fastpass for later or another ride, but nothing. That is not an experience I care to repeat.

We get back to AKL to pick up our truck, and discover that someone has attempted to break into it and have destroyed the lock on the drivers side. So that took another two hours to file the report with Disney and the county, we're looking at $250 deductible to have it repaired.

I know that they are not responsible for guest vehicles but I do plan on sending an email to guest services about it. Why do we have all the security and gates if anyone can come in? I feel it gives people a false sense of security, I also got the impression that this is a common occurance.

We're in Tallahassee now and will head home in the morning, I'm hoping we don't have too much of a mess to deal with from the storm.
