Well now I know why my sister hasn't been around much, seems she has a cough and it seems to have started rattling around in her chest. :(

Oh, no! Hope she can get it taken care of quickly!

I think you mean Timothy....

and I just got a call for a very part time job interview!! (Sundays) I want to be working!!

Hooray for a call! Crossing everything I can for you!!!

I am so keeping my fingers crossed for you!

Alan just called to let me know that one of the largest book publishing companies here in Utah (Deseret Book) wants to hire him to edit a documentary they want to produce in conjunction with a book they've published! This is HUGE for him!!! If they like his work, they could hire him again and again. They are constantly producing DVD documentaries (which is what Alan loves to do), and it could be some "permanent" money coming in.

We are meeting the CEO of the company for dinner on Wednesday night. Guess I better get my hair cut and colored to make a good impression. Definitely don't want to look like a tired, frazzled mom!

good luck to Alan

by the way Toys R us is also doing Lay way again

that sounds like a wonderful opportunity!! (I love the books that I have seen from that publisher)

She stopped by the doctor this morning on her way home from work, turns out something must have happened because he wasn't open.

Oh, no! Hope she can get it taken care of quickly!

Timothy is already turning 1 :faint:

I was thinking about putting up our Christmas Decorations soon. That way I might get my housework done sooner then later :rolleyes1

I kind of feel the same way. Dad just confirmed that he's having Thanksgiving with us this year, so we've got a lot to do to get the house ready for him. Putting up the Christmas decorations, may give us the motivation we need!

That is wonderful. I hope it works out for you.

Glynis - wonderful news for Alan!

Theresa - more good thoughts coming your way.

I can't begin to think about decorating for Christmas yet. First I need to get my house back in order. I'd say there is one more row of flooring to put down, and then the hallway. After that the baseboards need to get put back on. Maybe this weekend it will get finished. Then there is Bethany's bday, Thanksgiving, Nicholas' bday, Nutcracker performance and then Christmas. This time of year is sooo busy for me.

I got 4 loads of laundry done today, filed papers that have accumulated for the past 6 months and had my hair done. All in all I'm happy with what I accomplished. Now I need to pick up Nicholas from Robotics, eat dinner and then we're off to Religion.

Usually not until Thanksgiving weekend. We always have a huge crowd for Thanksgiving dinner....this year the count is at 31 people. I need all the space I can get for serving tables, tables and chairs. I think I'm going to even purchase some individual TV trays for those that have to sit in the family room area.

That's my kind of crowd! When we head to OK for holidays we're looking at around 40 plus a spare here and there.

I am so keeping my fingers crossed for you!

Very cool! Hope it works out!!! :wizard:

Good morning. :)

I only have to work one day this week. My regular days off are Mon, Tues and Friday but I took off Wed too, as Alyssa wanted me to chaperone her field trip that day. Plus, we're going to the Miley Cyrus concert tomorrow night, which they don't know about yet. Is it bad that I am excited for that? They don't have school tomorrow because of election day, so I'm going to ask them what they want to do for the day. Then I'll say "how about this" and give them the tickets that someone designed for me. (the concert is paperless) It starts at 7, so if it's a nice day, we'll drive up into DC early and hang out, have some dinner, etc.

Today I have lots of laundry waiting for me. Then this afternoon I have a hair appt. for a cut and cover up. It needs it badly!

Have a great day!
Wow! They will be so excited!!!

I am still holding out a little hope that Maui Wowi will come to their senses and hire me.
:wizard:I hope so too!

:wizard:That would be great too!

What is everyone up to tonight? I joined a few more survey sites so I've been filling out the questionares. So much fun...not. Hopefully the rewards will be worth it.

CALMNESS IN OUR LIVES

I am passing this on to you because it definitely works and we could all use a little more calmness in our lives. By following simple advice heard on the Oprah show, you too can find inner peace.

Dr. Oz proclaimed, 'The way to achieve inner peace is to finish all the things you have started and have never finished.'

So, I looked around my house to see all the things I started and hadn't finished, and before leaving the house this morning, I finished off a bottle of White Zinfandel, a bottle of Tequila, a package of Oreos, the remainder of my old Prozac prescription, the rest of the cheesecake, some Doritos, and a box of chocolates. You have no idea how freaking good I feel right now.;)

Thanks for the laugh, Becky!

Deb - I've just been finishing up my plans for tomorrow's Brownie meeting. Oh and trying to figure out how to make a trip to CA when I have no extra money right now. In the end, it's boiling down to if they really want us out there in Nov, then the inlaws will have to pay for everything, not just the plane tickets. This is why I want Jan/Feb because at least then I could afford to pay for the hotel and hopefully the car. This whole thing where the free housing and transportation that came with my best friend has moved out of reach of the inlaws sucks. Even though we can still stay with our friends for part of the trip it's added 30-50% to our trip costs. Not good on our current budget. (Okay, sorry for the vent. It just drives me crazy that our income is probably 10-20% - yes, really - of what the rest of Phil's family makes, yet we're the ones expected to come to visit them everytime.)

Wow, i cannot believe timothy is going to be one! that is crazy!!!

This week is one of my favorite weeks of the year ;) We are off Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday! So its Monday night and I only have one more day of work this week--I could get used to this!! I came home and just relaxed as I had a headach, and now im watching the end of the Phillies game. I have some errands to run tomorrow but thats about it!
Its just agood week here in jersey ;)

Such good news, Glynis. I order music from Deseret occasionally... they are a good company!
