DDA Chapter 23

Do you mean this coming weekend or a week and a half out? Some areas are at peak now while others are beyond peak. There is still lots of color, but it is mostly browns and oranges in our area. It is still time away any way you look at it. As cold as it has been I wouldn't be surprised if there was some snow.

Thanks! It's this coming weekend. They knew that they would be arriving after peak and are more looking forward to just being away from home.

We are now under a winter weather advisory through Saturday morning for a possibility of wet, heavy snow. It is all dependent on a couple of degrees whether its just a couple of inches or a lot more, so I hope it stays warm enough to keep the snow away. With so much foliage still on the trees, even as little as 4" of the heavy, wet snow could be a real problem. I'm supposed to travel about 2.5 hours from here on Saturday to see Matthew run. It's the only race of his that I have been able to make all year, and I haven't seen him at all since Labor Day weekend. I hope it's just a lot of hype and no bad weather.

So question for you guys--anyone here make jello shots? I never make them but I was somehow elected to make them for the halloween party I am going to next weekend. What kind of alcohol do you guys use for the jello shots? We were thinking vodka or malibu. And how much alcohol do you add after you boil the water? There are so many recipes online its crazy so I just wanted to ask someone!

I hope Elizabeth is ok. She hasn't been around to much after posting about being cranky.

I am fine, thanks!
Still cranky. And SUPER busy - can't even answer my cell phone when it rings. Plus I had a headache yesterday that lasted ALLLL day so that was super fun.

Reading along when I have a minute.
:wizard: and :grouphug: to all!

Jen I have no idea how much vodka to put in the jello shots, have fun though!

Elizabeth hope your headache is better today!

Beth :wizard: for no bad weather so you can make it to Matthews race!

Good morning, DDA!

We're off to MOPS in a little bit and then on to Toy Story. It will be a nice diversion from this otherwise rainy, gloomy day. I kind of like it when I'm outside (other than that cold part), but it's not doing much for my get up and go inside. Instead, I'd rather curl up in the chair with a book.

Kristi's in laws may never come back to visit again if it doesn't clear up soon. The whole family is coming in today from Los Angeles. It's their first visit since the wedding 10 years ago. Now there's even been mention of the S word overnight on Friday (though nothing sticking even). Hopefully it clears up for at least part of their trip.

I don't know about you all, but I wish I was in WDW.

I hope your parents have a great getaway weekend, but  on your weather, Beth!!

Good morning, DDA! :sunny:

Compared to all of you, our weather is not bad: rain and 46. But YUCK!

Elin - how are yourBob's knees?

not so good... but I think there is more going on too. I have a feeling he hs had a recurrence of his hernia. :sad2: I don't think he was totally up front with me last week. And I cannot make him go to the doctor. He is so dumb sometimes!

Well we got our first snowfall of the season today. :sad2:

So my sister gave me some apples. If I was to bake for you, what would you want apple pie or apple crisp?
