DDA Chapter 23

Thanks, Tammi. That is exactly what she said. I tried to remind her that we are all a piece of Mom, including her kids. I think her daughter Hallie gets it because she is old enough to remember Mom, so it sort of makes sense to her. She wasn't at all sure how to tell Will, and I told her there was no way he would understand because he's too young, but that he's heard about Mumsey and seen her pics, so to tell him the same thing and the concept of death and Heaven would come to him in time.

How are your kids doing this morning? That was a tough decision for you, so here's a big hug. The right decision often seems harder than the wrong one.

Tammi - I have only been working in very short spurts, and there have been grandparents here the entire time since Pixie was born. If Princess has an issue with Pixie she hasn't mentioned it, but I haven't seen Princess much! :rotfl2: It is interesting to me that Princess never mentions Pixie, but then again, Pixie doesn't really DO anything and there are enough people around that Princess hasn't been inconvenienced. Next week Momboss and I fly solo, so we'll see. I am not sure if Momboss will be allowed to drive next week or not. The week after that the first set of grandparents will be back. That might actually be more disruptive than helpful. I hadn't really thought much about it until now.

They were okay. Alyssa said she had a hard time falling asleep. Nicholas asked me how long do cats live. I think he's trying to figure out when we'll lose another pet. :rotfl2: We made the decision to have a private cremation and will get his ashes, just like Shane. Alyssa suggested that Nicholas could keep Shane in his room and she would keep Peanut. I think them having a religious foundation helps, with the concept of being "in Heaven", that he is running around with Shane. Then last night Nicholas asked me to read him the Rainbow Bridge story, which we did when we put Shane down. I think he was trying to torture me!

Tammi-I am sorry to read about Peanut:hug:

Tammi, I'm very sorry for your family's loss.

Marci, I'm sorry for the loss of your mom's dog, as well!

Jennifer, good luck with your surgery! :wizard:

Elin, sorry you had such a rude wake-up call! Enjoy your last day at Epcot!

:wave2: DDA! It's almost the weekend. :)

Tomorrow, we're headed up to Huron for just a quick visit. My mom and stepdad want to take as many grandchildren as possible to their local pumpkin patch on Saturday, and we'll visit my dad and stepmom for a few hours on Sunday.

Take care, everyone!

Well I saw the surgeon this morning. I having my gall bladder removed tomorow morning at 7:30 CST

which means I have to be at the hospital at 5"45am.

Hope all went well!!

I hope it goes well, Jennifer! :wizard:

When DS broke out with chicken pox his looked like mosquito bites. He had been vaccinated and got them anyway - his case was fairly mild. He had maybe 100 pox when all was said and done.

I still think that's what Terra had a couple of months ago. She had about 15 spots total, but that's exactly what they looked like. They scabbed over like chicken pox does and a couple of the bumps still remain today.

Today was not a good day here... Tonight I had my sign. :(

I'm so sorry, Tammi! :grouphug: I know how hard that decision is. I hope the kids, and you, are doing okay today.

Good morning, DDA!

We've got a rainy stormy day here today. A good day for good bit of hanging at home. Of course, I've got lots of cleaning that could stand to be done, but ah well. ;) It also would have been a good day for that chili I made last night. Maybe I can find something equally as fall-weather-ish for tonight.

Tia, I think A LOT of kids break out with chicken pox and their parents either don't notice or figure it CAN'T be pox because the kids were vaccinated.

The school nurse told me DS was the ONLY ONE in a school of 900 kids who had them. Well, he caught them SOMEWHERE, and he was probably contagious on Friday (he broke out Sunday) so you can't tell me NONE of the other kids got them.

I also think maybe pox no longer have a uniform appearance, making them harder to diagnose.

Elin hope you are enjoying your day!

Marci sorry to hear about Diesel

Becky hope you are feeling better :wizard:

Heidi I like purse's but there is no way I would ever pay $150 for one!

Jennifer hope you are doing well :wizard:

Tia it is rainy here today as well & the forecast for this weekend does not look good at all. There was even mention of a slight chance of the "S" word :scared1:

Tammi, Nicholas, and Alyssa-- I am so sorry that you had to say goodbye to another good friend.

Marci--I'm sorry about Diesel.

Heidi, I am not a purse person, but that is so cute! I could never spend that much money on a purse, though. I don't really take care of purses (or shoes) enough to spend much on them.

Elizabeth, Happy Birthday to your dh!

:grouphug::grouphug: I'm so sorry Marci. :grouphug::grouphug:

Heidi, I have to have that purse! They better have them in December!!! There goes my lunch money!!!!

Good morning everyone-Off to work!
Im having a issue with my computer, the touchpad. I know im horrible with technology so I wanted to see if anyone here knew what was wrong! I can move the mouse using the touchpad, I can scroll using the touch pad, but i cant double click using the touchpad...it makes no sense!

Alright, have a great day all

This website should help.

Good morning, DDA! :sunny:

Housekeeping just woke us up at 8:00. She was disturbed to discover that we planned to be in our room until just before 11:00! I intend to say something when we go up to check out. There is no excuse for that.
I would ha ve been mad too!

I could never spend that much money on a purse, though. I don't really take care of purses (or shoes) enough to spend much on them.

This website should help.

Thanks--going to check that now!

Jennifer- Hope your surgery went well. I hope the girls do not spread the virus.

Tammi- :wizard::hug: to you and your family

Marci-:wizard: to you and your family

I am feeling alright, no fever just a cough and I am just tired. I went to work for half a day, I still have work to do for my job. But I am currently relaxing in bed.

That purse is VERY nice. I wonder how big it looks in person? The purse I have now was $150, but the thing that kills me about buying expensive purses it that the cats chew the straps. They chew the straps on cheap purses, too. DH was commenting yesterday in the car that the straps on my purse are starting to look ragged. But in my defense, I have had this purse for about 2 years and I carry it year-round. I buy ONE purse and carry it until it falls apart, so I can justify the Disney purse, I just need to figure out how to keep the cats from chewing it. :rolleyes1
