thanks Ladies.

Has anyone ever seen on a childs legs red raised spots, with a white border around them. Their is no pus center. Virginia has about 20 of these also has a couple on her arms and face. My first thought was ant bites but you would have thought she would have made a fuss if she was being bitten. Wish I could show you a picture but dont know how to upload pics from my cell phone to the computer and the batteries in the camera are dead.

Well I saw the surgeon this morning. I having my gall bladder removed tomorow morning at 7:30 CST

which means I have to be at the hospital at 5"45am.

I hope it goes well, Jennifer! :wizard:

When DS broke out with chicken pox his looked like mosquito bites. He had been vaccinated and got them anyway - his case was fairly mild. He had maybe 100 pox when all was said and done.

We just got the 2010 insurance enrollment packet. Our deductibles are going from $500 per person to $750 per person. We never met the $500, so there is NO WAY we will meet $750. And of course our premiums are going up. Oh, and we have been assigned a different insurance provider, too. But the passwords to get into the PepsiCo website reset after 90 days, and DH needs to call for a password so I can figure out if our Dr's even take this new insurance. :headache: Stupid crap insurance. makes me want to just go to the ER at the county hospital along with everyone else who has NO insurance and get all my healthcare for FREE. :furious:

yikes about the insurance.

If she had them on her trunk I might think they were chicken pox. She has not had a vaccine for that yet I don't think. I am taking her to the after hrs pedi at 7:15 tonight. to see what it is. its the white circle border around them that confuses me.

I can not get sick. I am in a wedding Saturday, it would not be a good thing. I actually left work early today as I started feeling cruddy and was hacking my head off. I will try to go to work tomorrow and I already have Friday off. I spent my afternoon in bed. I also have to spend some time trying to work on some stuff I need to have finished by Friday.

In other news Sea World and Busch Gardens have been sold to Blackstone Group.

In addition Rich Ross has been named chairman of the Disney Studios.

I don't remember if there was a white border on DS's pox or not. I remember thinking they were NOT pox, but that's what they were. They offered me the vaccine at his 1 year check-up, but since that was his first MMR vaccine I said no. We waited and got the pox vaccine at his 15 mo. check-up. He got the pox when he was in 2nd grade. Now there is a pox booster, I think at age 4, instead of just that one dose.

Well my sister got chicken pox when she was 30 and there was no white around the red, but what the heck it could be chicken pox. :confused3

I swear I saw that at Pecos Bills in the past???

Good afternoon, DDA! :sunny:

It is HOT HOT HOT again today. Highs in the upper 90s and humidity levels to match. We ran into Jennifer, Kyle and the girls (as well as Cassi and Jen's Mom) at The Land. Very quick visit and Bob took a picture of Jen and me. We didn't want to interrupt the girls' schedule so we left them to eat their lunch and came back to the room. We had no desire to be out in that weather any longer. We will go out later, hopefully, after it has cooled down a bit and then tonight we have our Last Supper at Flying Fish. :)
Sorry it has been so hot for you! It was HOT when I was there in May-hotter than August. I couldn't eat too much either. I'm wanting to try DxDDP with Joe this May (TS breakfast or early lunch & signature dinner). I'm hoping it won't be that hot again.

How great that you got to meet Jennifer, Kyle & the girls!

Sorry your trip is coming to an end. You'll be back soon!

YIKES about the insurance. I was shocked that our premiums didn't go up this year.

I swear Emma had the chicken pox a week before our Disney trip in May 08. She had her first shot but when we took her for her 4 year visit we declined the booster-they said she could get it at 5. She only had about 10-20 spots total and none on her face.

That's healthcare reform for ya! I hope it works out.

Please don't get sick, Becky! Do you have a fever?

Today was not a good day here. When we got home this afternoon I found our dog, Peanut, laying on the kitchen floor. He couldn't get up. His hips/back legs were immobile. He couldn't even get up to come and get his cookie. I tried to pick his rear up but it just slumped back down on the floor. I couldn't put him out to go potty. I knew what was coming. I called the vet and they said come on in. I asked the kids if they wanted to go stay at the neighbor's, but they wanted to come. The vet examined him and said it's probably a disc, which would need surgery. I could try medicating him with muscle relaxers or various pills, but I knew in my heart that was just prolonging the inevitable. Surgery was out of the question. He was 17 yrs. old. So they gave him the shot to relax him, and we all hugged on him awhile. The kids said goodbye and went out in the lobby to wait. I stayed with him as he took his last breath. Nicholas and Alyssa are taking it very hard. We just went through this in March, and now again. When I had to make the decision to put Shane down, I kept hoping for a sign to know it was the right thing to do. I never got it. Peanut has been going downhill lately, with arthritis and such. Tonight I had my sign. :(

Tammi I had read rumors about them wanting to do something about the restaurants being so packed, looks like they are doing something about it. And its getting positive reviews from the customers.
The only drawback I see is with families that have several small kids and/or strollers. I remember always wanting to take my kids to sit instead of have them stand in yet another line. How are parents to keep ahold of small kids, the stroller and carry trays of food at the same time? I hope it works out.

O tammi, i am so sorry to read this

There is a BIG thread about this on the restaurant boards. I hate when DS and DH stand in the line with me - there isn't room for that! Now add little kids into the mix and it will be pandemonium.

Pecos Bill's was doing this in 2008. You had to have your tray in your hand before they would allow you into the roped off seating area. The CM fussed at us because we sat at a table that was "too big" for our party of 3, so we had to squeeze around this teeny little 2 seater table (along with all of our camera equipment and other crap) and attempt to eat AND not get bumped by people walking by. The table location SUCKED - I never sit on an aisle in a restaurant, but that's where we were TOLD to sit.

This year they weren't policing the tables, so we sat at a 4 seat table next to the wall. Much better! I am not a fan of the backless chairs, either. But it is better than standing.

I'm so sorry for your loss.

Tammi, I am so sorry about Peanut. :guilty:

That's healthcare reform for ya! I hope it works out.

Did I mention this is the "basic" plan? If we wanted the "deluxe" plan we could have a $450 per person deductible and our premiums would more than DOUBLE. :scared1:

I called the pediatrician and my primary care Dr. and they both take insurance from the new carrier, so that's good. I need to call my GYN and my back specialist and make sure they both take it, too. I was thinking about making some changes to our dental plan, but maybe not. And without DH's PASSWORD I can't view the details of the dental OR the vision plans. He WILL be calling for that password TOMORROW.
