Congrats to DS!!! and your nanny family. What a good day in your house.

Abi didn't make it into Jazz Band but didn't realize she could have tried out on the Baritone, also. She is glad she said because she doesn't like anybody in the band. Hey!! At least she tried out.

I'm sorry Abi didn't get into the Jazz Band, but it sounds like maybe it worked out OK anyway! Wasn't she auditioning for some other things?

The baby is fabulous. She is SOOOO tiny! 6 lb. 4 oz. and 18 inches. Princess was so fascinated by the balloons and flowers she barely gave the baby a second look.

In other news...
DS has been cast as The Baker! That is the largest male lead in the play!! I hope he does well!

Wow, the biggest male role Does that mean he will need to go everyday to practice?

Hang tough Glynis. Colby was the only one that we let cry it out and it took 2 entire weeks before he finally got it. He is now our best sleeper Enjoy being a Webelos leader. I've been there and done that and had a lot of fun along the way. It ended up being quite time consuming though Chris is doing Tiger Scouts with Colby as I know if I start I'll get sucked right back in. I have such a hard time saying "no"

I'm excited for Webelos! I'll get to be with Jacob, and since Alan can't I'm happy to step in. It's quite a learning experience for me, though, since I've never done Scouts before!

Thanks, Anne Marie! I know it will be tough and a long haul. I guess I'm really frustrated, because he was sleeping through the night until we took him camping. I knew I should have gone with my gut instinct to keep him home. Oh well!

In other news...
DS has been cast as The Baker! That is the largest male lead in the play!! I hope he does well!

This is fantastic! I had a suspicion that this would be the role he would get! I just know he'll be wonderful! Please tell him how proud I am of him!!! The Baker is the best role!!!!

I've been semi productive today. I've finally dug out the external hard drive that I got last Christmas and I've spent most of the day moving all of our photos and documents to the hard drive. Now I'm restoring the desktop in our bedroom to factory settings. It has been running slow for a long time and none of us wanted to use it. At some point I'll need to back up the back up, but it should be safe for now.

Theresa - I'm sorry about Abi, but sounds like she is not going to let it get her down! I hope some of the other interests she has work out for her!

I am not sure how that will work yet. He said they are supposed to start rehearsals next Tuesday. He still has Improv classes until mid-November, and he has a bunch of band stuff through the end of October.

They have triple cast it, along with Baker's Wife. I am not sure what prompted that, unless they expect one of them to bail. DS really did NOT pay much attention to the cast list, which irks me because I need to know these things! He said his one friend is Witch, but he doesn't think there is an alternate, which boggles my mind. But, by his own admission, he didn't pay that much attention. The audition sheet said they would double cast the 6 main roles which I figured would be Baker, Baker's Wife, Witch, Jack, and maybe Riding Hood and Cinderella. One of his friends is a Prince, and one is Narrator. A lot of the kids are kids he doesn't know, so I guess he will be meeting some new folks!

My baby has arrived safely!!

She weighs 6 lbs. 4 ozs. and Momboss and Baby are both doing well! At this point it is the plan for me to bring Princess to the hospital later today.

Elizabeth--so glad to see that news!!

Tonight was such a great night! I dont know if you guys remember, but last Thanksgiving, we met a couple of military men on our plane from Dallas back home and overheard them talking about getting a taxi to the base (a good hour away from the airport) and we ended up taking them and going out to dinner and all of that..they deployed 2 days later..They called me last night and were back in jersey for a few days--just getting home from Iraq !! So we picked them up tonight and we had dinner with them. It was great seeing them...they should be leaving on saturday to go home but if not we will be seeing them again!

Oh I so need to do that. What kind of hard drive do you have? How easy/hard is it to move your pictures?
