Good Morning. Typical restless night. All 3 boys are still sleeping so we had Nick get into bed with Hunter. Chris and I will get some time to pick up this house while they sleep.

Good morning.

Sophie & I are going to see Miley Cyrus tonight.:yay: The collesium website said to prepare for gridlock conditions. :scared1: So we will definately be headed out early.

Today I plan to get out my carry-on and give some thought to what I need for my quickie trip. I won't need much as long as it doesn't rain!

I also need to get some Thanksgiving food shopping done but we haven't discussed what we are making yet. :rotfl:

And then tonight is the choral concert at UMW. We are singing Rutter's "Gloria" in honor of the upcoming season and it is a very powerful piece. I can't wait to hear it with organ and brass and timpani. I wasn't at dress rehearsal yesterday so I don't know what it sounds like yet!

It should be fun and it ought to put me in a better frame of mind. I don't like feeling like Eeyore! I much prefer my usual Tigger-like outlook. How do people who are perpetually sad or looking at the half-empty glass exist on a daily basis? It is draining and I am bound and determined to get out of this funk.

Anne Marie - you and Sophie will have so much fun tonight!

Elin - I we decide to go to the concert tonight, what time do you advise getting there? I hope the music peps you up!

We have the big family dinner tonight. Turkey is in the oven and all the ingredients for the Kitchen Sink is in house. I need to do some more cleaning and hopefully I'll find time to work on Christmas Ornaments.

Deb I am glad last night was rather calm for you all, enjoy your family dinner today!

Anne Marie hope you & Sophie have fun at the concert!

Elin good luck with the packing!

Well I have been doing some cleaning and get thigns together for my classroom. Now I am getting stuff together to pack--i cannot believe i leave on wednesday!! I have to finish up and run to the food store before football starts today. Im all of a sudden getting so excited!

Anne Marie - you and Sophie will have so much fun tonight!

Thanks! When you went how early did you get there? The place we are going to is an hour away & the doors open at 5pm, show starts at 7pm.

A quick reminder for those who are participating in the ornament exchange:

Packages need to be to their recipients by December 6th, if at all possible.

Tia-can you send me you & Terra's likes and dislikes and address so I can pass it along to the sender?

We got there about 6:50, stood in line for souvenires until about 7:35, went to the restroom, etc. Miley doesn't start until 8, and Metro Station was "eh" on our list.

Hi we are at the stadium and the parking lot is filling up.

We haven't heard of metro station. :rotfl:

Also saw an outback commercial, spend $100 on giftcards, get $25 free.

Amy, You had asked for places that give an extra when you buy giftcards from them either here or on Facebook. The Container store currently has an offer if you buy $100 worth of gift cards you get an additional $25 free.

I'm definitely not as young as I used to be!

Two days and three coats later the room is finally painted, the trim is done, the new shelves are up, the wallcrashers are up, and the new blinds and curtains are hung. I had hoped to have the furniture moved in but that's not going to happen, I did do my shopping for Thanksgiving, and some of the shopping for the two meals I will be doing at work.

We had the kids for a few hours this afternoon so that slowed things down some, but I would rather spend time with them anyday.

Now I need to clean the kitchen and take a long bubble bath. . . . .

Elin - I hope you find your way out fo your funk soon

Anne Marie - I hope you and Sophie have a wonderful time

Chanon - I hope tomorrow isn't too rough

Ok, I'm in a little of a quandry. I just found my adopted brother on Facebook. He was adopted by my family after I was married. He is 9 years younger than me. My brother & sister are very angry with him and don't want anything to do with him. My mother and father were heartbroken that they were not able to help him.

He was 9 years old when we adopted him. As we learned more about his life before us, we realized it was going to take a lot of love to help him. My parents did everything they could for him. My brother, sister & I welcomed him with open arms (remember I have two exchange students that only lived with us a year that we think of as brothers - my girls call them Uncle). If any family had enough love for him, it was ours. He ran away from home in his senior year of high school. He came back 1/2 way through the year. He graduated and went off to the service. He was dishonorably discharged from the service and fell off the map.

Dad and Mom had planned on going on a trip one summer to see if they could find him. Unfortunately Dad died the winter before that happened. We couldn't find him to tell him that Dad had died. He called the high school a couple of years later to get his transcripts and asked how my parents were doing (I graduated from a school with 35 people in my senior class so everyone knows everyone). That is how he found out about my Dad's death. He called Mom and talked with her. She passed on his contact info to me so I wrote him a letter. I send a Christmas card to him every year now that I know where he is.

My quandry is do I friend him or ignore him. I really should friend him but maybe I can wait until he friends me? It makes me very nervous to open my life that much to him. However, if he has friended one of my cousins, he is going to have the info anyway. Maybe he has turned in to the man that my mom and dad were trying to help him become?
