DDA Chapter 23

I woke up this morning and found an email for a laptop at Best Buy for $249. Nick has been asking for one for Christmas, but I was and still am unsure whether he really needs one. None the less I checked it out and was able to put it in my cart, but decided that I didn't want to pay shipping. So after work this morning I hit Best Buy and after a lot of confusion (they didn't know anything about the sale ) I was able to buy one. So now I have it and I will research how good it really is etc. Either I'll give it to all 3 boys for Christmas or return it or sell it on ebay. I figured it was better to be safe and have it on hand since I haven't seen any deals that would beat it advertise for Black Friday.

Great pictures! What party were you at? Did we miss each other? We were at the 10/29 party.

I think we checked earlier and our dates didn't overlap. We went to the party on 10/25. Love your pics -- everyone looks like they are having such fun!

If anyone would like to do a book exchange, let me know. It involves sending 6 letters out to friends, but only one used book out. PM me if you are interested.

We just got out of a staff meeting so I thought I would at least check in and try to keep up.

Heidi -- have a terrific trip!

Amy -- I'm sending prayers for Kevin's health and that y'all have a great trip as well.

Sounds like you got a good deal Deb! Garrett & Riley are both wanting laptops, but unless a really good deal comes out I do not see it happening.

I am thinking of getting them each a small flat screen tv, but there again I need to wait for some deals!

Which one did you get? Daniel asked for a laptop & that was the only thing on his list. I checked out "netbooks" as some were cheaper but they have no CD & laptops do so now I am looking for a laptop.

We've had a busy day. For whatever reason I got the cooking bug today. I baked a cake (mmm, cake) and then I made a batch of beef stew to freeze, which will make for a couple of meals. Then I marinated steaks for dinner only to find out that my gas grill was out of propane, so I had to broil them in the oven. I HATE that. It makes such a mess with all that grease splattering about. Plus it doesn't taste as good either.

We rented Up from Redbox today. What a cute movie. We all enjoyed it.

The flight was was early. Got to the CR checked in and right up to the room so John could set up one of the streams, then off for a late dinner at the Comtempo Cafe. Checked out a few stores and then back to the room, where John set up the second stream and now here I am.
