Love the Halloween costumes, everyone! Janet and Gary, you look amazing!

How nice to hear from you, Mac... and your kiddos look wonderful!

John and I have decided on AKL for next year, just not sure of the month yet.

Lynn-congrats to Alex & his team!:woohoo:

Tammi-sounds like Nicholas's team played a great game! Too bad they didn't get to pick their own costumes but they looked great!

Mac-what cute trick or treaters you have! How wonderful to see them looking so great! Your pumpkins are incredible!

Janet-you & Gary looked great! I bet you had a lot of fun!

Sounds like she's got her work cut out for her tomorrow! Hope it goes smoothly.
Good thing she has an extra hour. The Halloween candy graph is done-Star Burst topped her list with 10 (but she was counting each one not packages). She got 115 pieces of candy.

Her other math project is a poster on 1,000,000 of something like say how many calories in 1,000,000 oreos. She chose to do hers on how long would it take to walk a million miles. She wasn't happy with just using an average 15 or 20 minutes/mile so we had to go to the high school athletic field and walk the mile. It took us 21 minutes 16 seconds (I found a stop watch I had given Gene). She agreed to use 21 minutes 15 seconds instead. Then she had to calculated how long 10; 100; 1,000; 10,000; 100,000; and 1,000,000 miles would take. Then convert those to hours, days, years....It would take her 40 years, 156 days, 22 hours and 40 minutes to walk 1,000,000 miles. I told her if she started right now and didn't stop to do anything she would be older than I am when she finished. Then we calculated that if she worked full time at walking-8 hours/day, 40 hours/week for 50 weeks a year it would take her 177 years, 4 weeks, 6 hours to do it. I told her it must only feel like we walk a million miles on our Disney trips.:lmao:

Now she's got to figure out how to make that a poster board AND type another paper. I think I better go tell her her lunch break is over!

How about January. Emma & I will be at AKL 1/21 to 1/28.

Are any of you using Twitter? I am fooling around with it these days.

I am on there... I use it mostly for updates on Disney stuff. I hardly ever post anything, though.

Kristine, I am just checking Twitter to see if our peds office has H1N1 vaccine. The nurse told me that is the best way to keep track of it. Princess is going to get her vaccine from her allergist, but they will only vaccinate their own patients so DS can't go there.

Heidi, yay for AKL! :thumbsup2

Mac, good to hear from you! The kids look great in their costumes! Is Mya still in public school? How are they handling her absences with the DCT production? They had asked DS to audition but missing 7 mornings of school wasn't something our principal was sure she could clear with the district. Rehearsals also conflicted with his rehearsals for the school play, so we didn't pursue it.

Bernadette, good luck with all the homework. :wizard:

Tammi, I am sorry Nicholas' team lost their game.
I think the costumes looked great, even though they weren't the kids' first choice.

Does it make me a bad mom that I'm not sad to see my youngest get her own place and move out? They aren't far from me and I'm sure we'll see them often.

Mac - the kids look fantastic, love the pumpkins

Tammi - I thought the kids looked cute even if dad didn't quite get it right

Elizabeth - I actually remembered rabbit, rabbit last night, hope I get my wish.

Debbie....the day Jonathan left for college I cried my eyes out. Now as he gets ready to graduate I am feeling perplexed at the thought of him moving back in.....damn, I should have used the "rabbit, rabbit" for him to get a job offer!

I think it makes you a good mom to want her to be independent!
I hope you get your wish!! :wizard:

Yep. You should have. ;)

Doesn't make you a bad Mom at all! Makes you hopeful that she has grown up and is ready to live on her own because you taught her so well!

It isn't so bad having them come back home. At least, it hasn't been bad for us the past 18 months. But we all know it is time for Kristin to find a place of her own. Now, if she could just find one she can afford!

I was just reading on the Universal Studios dates and rate 2010 thread that the UK website has a glitch. They are offering a book 7 nights for the price of 4 offer. For some reason it will give you the reduced rate for less than 7 nights. I was able to book RPR for $152/night for just the 3 nights that we wanted. I'll hold onto my original reservation at $267/night for a while to be sure, but it looks like it will work. :cool1:

Tia - Enjoy six flags! I don't think I could handle that today. Last night ended up being pretty busy, and I'm wiped!

I almost couldn't! I was beat by about and hour and a half into our park visit. Luckily, it wasn't busy at all and by then we had done everything Terra likes to do. We re-did a few rides and then headed home.

Of course, it didn't help that my day was further complicated by a not-starting car. It barely started when I went to leave for church, but then I remembered that I needed to top off the coolant. So, I turned the car off and did that. Then the car wouldn't stop. I put it on the charger for 15 min and was able to head out. Left it running during my quick donut stop on the way to church and hoped for the best. I had to be jumped to leave church, but amazingly it started right up at Six Flags. Stopped at AutoZone for a "check engine light" scan and it wouldn't start again. They jumped it and now we're home with it on the charger for the rest of the evening. The $80 for a new battery wasn't exactly in my plans for this week, but it looks like it might just have to be. Oh well. Guess we'll hope for the best.

I hope everyone had a great weekend! :wave2:

Thank you so much for all your prayers and kind words regarding my second ultrasound. :goodvibes

Like Deb said, it's so fun seeing everyone's Halloween pictures! From the littlest ones to the big kids, everyone looked great! Nice to see a post from you, too, Mac!

Here's the Wizard of Oz clan:

The Cowardly Lion

Dorothy (and Toto is almost falling out of his basket)

Lots of people commented that I should have been the Wicked Witch, but my niece REALLY wanted to be the witch until last week when she decided to be a cheerleader. :teeth:

And, you can see Matty is carrying Alyssa's trick-or-treat bag, because it was bigger than the one Grandma bought him. This wasn't a big deal, since Alyssa used her basket to collect candy. ;)

You guys always have great costumes. I'm always exhausted by the time I get the boys ready, I would never have time to get all 5 of us in costume.:rolleyes1

Thats the problem here too. Both my brother and I are ready to move out, but theres no where, in a decent area, that we can afford living alone..most of my friends are engaged or married so cant even find a roommate

Amy-the costumes look great!
