I talked to the kids last night. They both want to do the Family Fun Run. However, now I am wavering on it. It is Friday, Jan. 8 at 7AM. That means getting up very early. Plus, if my waitlist doesn't come through for concierge for the nights of the 8th and 9th, we will need to check out that morning and move to another room. That would mean having all bags ready to be dropped at bell services at 6 AM. Plus we would give up an entire morning, and probably afternoon because we will be so tired, of park time on a 4 night trip. What to do, what to do.

Vicki or Jennifer - how do they transport people for the races? Is there a designated bus that stops at each resort at a certain time to take the runners, or what?

I just saved $60 on my departure flights. Tickets had dropped $20 each since I booked them last week, so I canceled and rebooked. Gotta love SW's no cancelation fees. So now I'll have a $60 credit when they release the return flights.

I read and had some replies in my head, but they seem to have gotten loss in the mess that is my brain right now.

Deb - Hope the training goes well.

Theresa - Hope your friend will join us!

Tammi - Yeah for the flights! With a quick trip, I might skip the race, but then it would also depend on when the next trip after that is. Since you've been recently, this might be a good time to do something different with the race. However, if it's going to be a year until you go again, maybe not. I'm a big help, eh!

Kristine - Hope you guys can work things out to improve Jackie's situations.

Elizabeth - May the craziness of school soon resolve itself and mellow out.

Bernadette - Good luck with the car!

Tammi - I think I agree with Tia. While the race would be something fun and different, I think it would depend on whether or not you guys are going back sooner or later. Really talk with the kids and let them help you make the decision.

Deb - Good luck with the training days! It's nice to have you back!

Everything went well with Timothy's appointment yesterday! He is 26 and a half inches long, and weighs 19 pounds. For some reason, I thought he was much heavier than that. Must just be my old arms! The doctor does want me to bring him in for a swine flu vaccine in October, so we'll do that. The rest of us will be getting a regular flu shot at the same time.

Today will be an interesting day for me! Alan enrolled me in some classes to learn medical coding. He's lined up a job for me to do at home with a company that does medical coding for doctor's across the country. I have 4 months to complete the training and I get to start today. I'm not sure how I feel about it, as it's not something I ever wanted to do, but we really need the extra money that this job will bring in. Please wish me luck!

Tammi - do you want to take time out of your birthday trip to do the run? If so, then go for it. If not... it'll be there another year!

I am off to Charlottesville for my VFMC Fall Board Meeting. More fighting about money. I cannot wait.

Abi's book showed up...that is why she didn't talk to the teacher...but the teacher (I am betting) would have let her do the homework in Core Plus if she had talked to her about the situation. Such a kid...Glynis you are right she is a lot like your Katie. Abi has also always had a very strange fear of adults (esp. seniors...this teacher is definitely not one)
