Well, I am offically sick of doing laundry :laundy::laundy::laundy:

I went to visit the younger grandkids and didn't get any shopping done at all. No groceries. No clothes. Nada. Nor did I go through my closet. :guilty:

On a good note we've done a ton of planning! Woo Hoo:woohoo::woohoo:

What you did is more important anyways, you got to spend time with the grand kids and plan for fun times coming up to create great memories.. The clothing will wait. You can get groceries tomorrow.

Hello DDA! Sorry to be MIA! Tammi, love your pictures and TR! Elizabeth, I have seen a few of your photos on FB and those are great too! Bernadette, thanks for sending me the links to your photos! They are also great as usual!
Anne Marie, I would love to see your photos too!

We are still hoping to book our 25th anniv. trip in Dec. Angie still hasn't gotten the approval from her district manager yet. December is usually a block out time for her, but it is not a busy time for selling shoes, especially the early part of Dec. We shall see, but we are being optimistic!:thumbsup2

Thank you Becky!:love::love::love:

How is it midnight?? I swear I just got up.

I guess it doesn't help that I worked from about 11am to 5pm. Tomorrow I have a birthday party for my cousin. After that I will probably head to Hersheypark for a few hours.

I need to figure out the rest of the details for the bridal shower next Saturday. RSVP's were due today and I did not hear back from about 40 of the people that were invited. So I have no idea if I will have 40 or 80ish guests. I pretty much bought enough favors for 100 people. So I will probably set tables up for 80 and whatever show up, show up.

Terry and Steffy - :yay: for getting all your ducks in a row for your trip.

Becky - slow down, girl! And I cannot believe that half the invitees are rude enough not to respond!

Tom - so nice to see you here this morning. :goodvibes I hope you and Angie can work out the quick December trip.

If my estimate is accurate I still have about 8 loads of laundry left to do. :scared1: I swear DS and DH must have more than 4 feet total because there were about 800 socks in the dryer.

School starts tomorrow. I really prefer summer.

Jackie starts has her first day of high school tomorrow...I know she is a little nervous. She will also be riding the bus for the first time, not a school bus, a regular cirty bus.

 Why not a school bus?

Trip Report, Day 4 MK

We made it for RD at MK. Alyssa wanted to be there for the opening song.

We took our time heading up Main St., stopping to pin trade. Since SM is closed there isn't a mad dash to that side of the park. We went and got FPs for Buzz. Bob and Alyssa went to ride the Speedway (boring) so Nicholas and I headed to Fantasyland and rode Pooh. When we were done Alyssa was in line for the Teacups. Notice I say ALYSSA. So we rode that with her. We made our way through Fantasyland riding the Carousel, Philharmagic, and iasw. On down to Frontierland with stops at HM, BTMRR, grab FPs for SplM, and PotC. Then over to Buzz. I got my highest score ever! We stopped for ice cream at the ice cream parlor, which ended up being lunch since we had an early dinner ADR at the Plaza. Since it was getting hot we headed back to BCV for a swim.

Alyssa was imitating the dolls as we rode through iasw.

We went back to MK for our dinner at the Plaza. I think this would rate as my worst meal ever at WDW. I've heard so much raving about their hamburgers, but it just didn't live up to the hype. Plus we had the worst waitress ever. She wasn't pleasant, never smiled, generally acted like someone you would find working in a diner, not WDW. She was actually kind of snarky when Bob ordered, asking if all the fixings came with his burger. Her reply....."if you order them they do." We won't be going back there. Anyway, when we were done were able to catch the Move It, Shake It, Celebrate It Street Party. This was cute, and Alyssa and I enjoyed dancing. Next time we know where to be so we can dance with Mickey. ;) We were with Buzz this time. We used our FP for Splash and did a few other rides (HM again, CoP, etc). It was time to head over to the dessert party. Check in was supposed to be at 8:45. There is a big queue to stand in, then a CM comes around checking you in and gives you a wristband. This took a LONG time. I don't think they started letting people in until well after 9. The desserts were good, but I don't think this is something that we will need to do again. Tinkerbell flew right over our heads and the kids were able to get a good look at her. They both think she was a he. :rotfl:

Tammi your castle pictures are beautiful! Sorry the Plaza was not a good experience for you.

Jackie starts has her first day of high school tomorrow...I know she is a little nervous. She will also be riding the bus for the first time, not a school bus, a regular cirty bus.

:scared1: I hope your city buses aren't as scary as ours!
I do sometimes see city buses dropping off at our high school, and I can never figure out why ALL of those kids are on the city bus to begin with. :confused3

Tammi - We weren't thrilled with The Plaza this time. Mostly because they left us standing outside for 25 minutes. Our waitress was fine. We thought the dessert party was OK. I wouldn't go to great lengths to book it again, but it was OK. The view was really nice, but the desserts were just "eh".

I don't have any duplicate pins that are authentic. I am on the fence about the one Iago that I have in my keepers. I think I may have 2 fakes.

when I say city bus...it's not the city of Chicago...it only runs through the city of park ridge. It runs down several streets, through uptown, drops and the train station, continues to pick up more kids and then drops at the high school. It's an odd set up...but has been this way since I was a kid.

Well I invited about 110 people. About 40 people did not respond. But the amount that did not respond could double the number of people attending. I sure hope they do a better job of responding for the actual wedding invitations, as she needs to provide another location with a number. Instead of the shower where we are doing it ourselves.

I have like 8 days off in September, that I do not really have plans for. As I need to take all of my vacation days by the end of September.

There are no school buses .

No buses in your area or they just do not offer buses period?

We have buses but for those living in town they are not plentiful. I drove Garrett back & forth last year but I was able to get him on a school bus this year. Granted the pick up is 2-3 blocks away, but that is much closer than it would be to walk to the HS. He is not real happy about it but that is life I guess.

I told him if it is real nasty out I will give him a ride to the bus stop, I am not a total witch :rotfl:
