Tammi you must be busy with work, hope to hear about your trip soon. You as well Marci, I am living through all of you right now!

I have been working 10 hour days, with football practice for 2 hrs in the evening, and trying to get some laundry done. I just got home, did a few things around the house and laid my butt in bed. The kids left to go with their dad until Sunday. They are going to King's Dominion, Great Wolf Lodge and Busch Gardens. Since I'll be off on Friday I'm hoping to get a bit of a report and some pictures posted. I have been reading along everyday to keep up, but just haven't had time to sit and post.

Anne Marie - I hope your mom is doing better. I'm so sorry she didn't bother to let you know. Any idea why she didn't?

Jen - have a great time.

Lindsay - :wizard: that Austin stays put for awhile. If he doesn't, here's some more :wizard: for an easy delivery and a healthy baby.

Chanon - I got your maps. I'm planning on mailing them this weekend.

Janet - Is the toe feeling any better today?

Kristine - no Crackberry here, but it's what our county uses.

It sounds like a great December trip is shaping up.

:confused3

Hope you get time to catch up & take a rest! Can't wait to see your pictures, hopefully next time we won't miss you!

Terry - feel better fast!

Debbie - What a headache with the birthday party! I hope you don't have anymore headaches with the place. :wizard: for your dd and her bf.

Anne Marie - please send me a link to your pictures. My email is the same. Maybe this weekend I will be able to look at both yours AND Bernadettes. They are all waiting for me in my inbox.

Speaking of hidden Mickey's......instead of making you wait for day 8 of my TR, I'll tell you now. Bob surprised me with a KTTK tour on our departure day. The only drawback was that I had to go myself, since he had to hang with the kids. I really enjoyed the tour, learned some new things and our guide, Stephen (who was and uber nerd, but VERY knowledgable), took us on the Jungle Cruise and in the HM. Elizabeth, did you know that there are 5 hidden Jack Skellington's in the HM? I hope you didn't because the excitement of telling you about it would be deflated. Anyway, only 1 is truly visible to the public. It's on a book that is on the floor in the attic. The rest are in very dark places. There is also only one "official" hidden Mickey in the HM, and it is NOT the plates. It's made by the hand of the grim reaper type dude near the opera singer.

Kristine - who is your tour guide at MK that you really like? For some reason Stephen is in my mind and I'm wondering if it's the same guy.

Our favorite would be Raymond...he is an older gentlemen. Oddly, my kids really liked him. He has also been around for a long time and knew everyone...this worked to our advantage.

The second guy we had was Jeff.....very young...very happy go lucky. Nice guy all around.

I am conflicted as to if we should do another VIP tour in Nov....

HOLY CRAP!!! :scared1:

I just got an e-mail from the school. There is a supply list as long as my arm, and a delightful little phrase that there will BE NO LOCKERS this year!!!:headache::sick: WHO IS THE IDIOT THAT DECIDED THE KIDS WON'T HAVE LOCKERS?????

There are only 2 things that would motivate this decision:
1) It is so freakishly overcrowded that they do not have enough lockers.
2) They have decided lockers are some sort of security risk.

I am going with 1, DH is voting for 2.

At any rate, DS only weighs 76 pounds. He CAN'T carry 6 textbooks, plus all the supplies, his lunch, his PE clothes, his drum sticks, etc. Not happening. I tried to call the school but of course they aren't answering the phones this late in the day.
:scared1:Maybe it is both. Joe will have a locker next year but they don't lock in that school-3rd/4th/5th grade.

I'm giving Brandon a party at Kangarooz Saturday, it's pretty pricey but I think the kids will have a blast. But if I hadn't already told him about it I would cancel, you can never get the people on the phone, even when they call you, so I finally went up there to pick up the invitations that they were supposed to send to me the first of June, I waited almost 30 minutes for the manager to come out and talk with me. Then today we played phone tag again until I finally got someone on the phone, only to be told that they have no record of my $150.00 deposit, thank goodness it was on the charge card and I can print out the statement with it on there.

My youngest DD has spent the day at the doctor with her boyfriend, come to find out he has a hernia so I'm pretty sure he will be having surgery, he's a firefighter so I don't know how this is going to effect his ability to go to work. They are trying so hard to get a place of their own, but things are contingent on her getting a decent job, she has her teaching license but it is limited as to what she can teach and she hasn't found a position yet, she had an interview Friday and is on pins and needles waiting to hear about that one. I keep telling her to hang in there and things will eventually fall into place, just not at the speed she would like.

We inventory at work this Tuesday which is always a lot of fun, not to mention that my management staff didn't get the things done while I was gone for four days that should have been, you'd think I wouldn't have to babysit them. . . . . . . . Good news is I got things caught up so the office is ready to go.
:hug:How frustrating! Good luck to your DD & her boyfriend!:wizard:

How exhausting!

Cool! I think I would have like Stephen. I had "Tiny". He was SOOOOOOOOOO full of himself it really took away from the whole experience. At one point he told us his parents were "big in the Irish community in California (maybe he said San Fran?). I was always having dinner with Kings & Queens...."

Did you go into the back entrance to HM? I thought was as cool as the utilidoors.

WOW! crazy!

Well I made it to Dallas. The flight was delayed..then we had to "go around the weather" so we landed a bit late, but not too bad. I met up with my friend and my luggage was 2nd off--crazy :) We hopped in a taxi and that is when the adventure began. The taxi driver apparently didnt know where the hotel was, even though we asked before we got in the cab. Then, it was rush hour so he decided to go a back way--then he got lost...then there was traffic near the stadium and roads were closed. He ended up cutting our fare in half so it wasnt too bad. Our hotel is awesome! It just opened up in February so its pretty much brand new--our room is HUGE! We unpacked and walked around for abit, grabbed some dinner, and now were relaxing !

Jen glad you made it to your hotel safely!

Jen - Glad you made it safely, despite a crazy cab ride.

Elizabeth - That is just crazy! I hope you can get some more info from the school.

Anne Marie - I'd love to see your pictures! My emails the same as the old lists.

Tammi - Crazy schedule! Hope the kids have a good time with their dad. Can't wait to see a report!

Debbie - Good luck with the inventory and Brandon's party. Hope it all goes smoothly!

We're off to bed here. It's been an uneventful day except for a few not so smooth interactions with my dh. Argh! Hopefully, tomorrow will be a better day. Night all.

Well I just got home from the ER with Riley. I swear this boy is going to make my blonde hair turn gray.

I got a call from the gas station down the street saying that he had been in an accident with his bicycle. I was up & out the door within seconds. Thankfully it was just him & no vehicles were involved. He was on his way home & the chain broke & somehow he was flipped over the bike & took a nose dive into the street. I was worried about his upper lip & the bump on his head(not to mention all the blood).

All is well though, no broken bones or stitches needed. He is scraped up pretty bad from head to toe & looks like a mummy with all the bandaging. He left quite a bit of his skin on the road. I know tomorrow he will be very stiff.

I have always called Riley my little bruiser & it does not seem he is going to give that title up just yet

How scary, Janet! I'm glad there were no major injuries. I hope he's not in too bad of shape tomorrow. :wizard:

Thanks Tia. It is always that initial call that puts you into panic mode & then once you are with them you feel a little more control of the situation.

There was a very nice man at the gas station tending to Riley till I got there & helping to calm him down. I couldn't thank him enough for his help. Riley was was a scared mess when I got to him, it just always breaks your heart to see them like that.

Janet,,,I can feel your pain. I have broken both of my baby toes a few times. No fun.

Bernadette,,,your pictures are awesome. Loved looking at them.

Jen ,,,have a fantastic time!!!

Getting together with everyone that Saturday Dec 5 would be such fun.

I went home yesterday with a monster of a migraine. Probably one of the worst since it came on so suddenly. Today, it developed into a big sinus problem. Went to the Dr and came home with Flonaise, Afrin, and Claritin. I do have seasonal allergies and she thought this might give me some comfort. Hope it helps.

Feel better Terry!:goodvibes
