Robyn :wizard::wizard:

Jen, thoroughly enjoyed the trip report. I would love to see pictures if you have time to send me the link.

The boys are chomping at the bit to get to my parents pool so I'll have to check back later.

Robyn - I hope the CPS is right and that the judge is a smart one.

I may have missed it, or since Elizabeth is gone it may not have come up ;) , but I read a quick email this morning from some group that Disney is going back to 180 day ADRs at the end of October. Does anyone know if that's true? If so, I'll have to get working since Feb would fall in there.

It is true. And to make things better they are going to start releasing park hours 180 days out too. FINALLY!

Tia I hope Terra is feeling 100% better soon :wizard:

What a day, here's my post to Elizabeth explaining it,

Elizabeth,

If you got a strange partial text it was me, I was in the middle of typing it when I got distraced and hit send,

It was supoosed to say,

So the Disney curse continues, Richie and I both had to work this morning and the plan was to leave early and drive to Tallahassee tonight and get up early so that we would be at Disney between 9 and 10.

Things went great at work, but on the way home, the service engine soon came on on my car, the car that we bought new less than two months ago. I stopped for gas and topped it off and made sure I put the cap on tight, the light stayed on, so instead of coming home I headed straight to the dealership. They handled it well and took it in right away, the computer said it was an evap leak that was most likely the gas cap so they reset it and told me not to worry about taking it on the trip. Well in my anxiety about the light I really didn't top off the tank so I stopped back to do that. I go to get in the car, and I've locked the keys in it and I'm now stuck at the gas station, , luckily my daughter was home and her and her boyfriend came to rescue me.

What a day! Not to mention the fact that the weather is getting rough . . . .

We have every intention of leaving in a couple of hours, so wish us well. I have a feeling Richie may insist that we take the truck, but if he does he's stuck with all the driving, I'm just not comfortable driving the monster.

See ya soon!

Tia - I hope Terra is feeling better soon

I won't be taking the computer this time so I'll check in when we get back,

Have a great weekend!

oh no I hope things improve

Debbie sorry to hear about the rough start today. Please have Elizabeth let us know you made it safely & have a wonderful time!

Wow Debbie. I hope things improve. At least you'll be at Disney tomorrow :goodvibes

Debbie, I hope that is the last of the troubles for this trip and that you have only magic from here on out!

Tia, pixiedust: for Terra! I hope she is all better.

Not much is going on here. I know that I have a million (or more) things that I should be doing, but the motivation is once again lacking. Why oh why am I so LAZY?!

I just finished She's Come Undone by Wally Lamb, and I think I've been reminded why I enjoy children's/young adult literature so much. I also read Pleasing the Ghost by Sharon Creech this morning, and I much preferred that (though it's intended audience is a little younger than I typically read). I'd read it before, so I knew that I would like it.

I took Matthew to the bank today to apply for a credit card (low limit but handy for buying books, especially on-line). She asked for his estimated graduation date, and I realized that he will graduate from college just a week or so before our 25th anniversary. It will also be within days of Miles' 14th birthday and my 49th birthday. Sounds like a great reason for a Disney Trip, huh? We honeymooned at the Polynesian back when there was only a MK and Epcot. Of course, Miles will be in 8th grade, so a mid-May week away may not really work so well for us. (And the fact that we'll have had two in college for two years at that point.) It's a nice dream, though.

Debbie - I hope things calm down ASAP and that you have a wonderful trip. Tell everyone hello for us!

Beth - I agree about the Lamb book. I read it years ago and remember thinking something similar.

Bernadette sent me a link to her first day photos

skip ahead a couple of posts

Deb when I clicked on the link it took me to comcast.net and its news.

My Bad...try this
Could you remove that link? I've told DH I won't post photos of the kids online any more.

I'd be happy to send the link to anyone I know who asks.

We like to think that this is a happy little family but there are lurkers out there......
