Tia-hope Terra is all better now!

Robyn-hope things worked out OK today.

Debbie-safe travels to WDW!!!:wizard:

I'm still working on uploading photos. I've done the first 5 days or so but only did captions (and sent link for) day 1. If anyone would like the link that didn't get day 1 just let me know. I didn't take even 1/2 as many as photos as usual. Under 1,000. So much easier to take photos with just 1 kid instead of 4-and the big one was always getting lost......

I took Matthew to the bank today to apply for a credit card (low limit but handy for buying books, especially on-line). She asked for his estimated graduation date, and I realized that he will graduate from college just a week or so before our 25th anniversary. It will also be within days of Miles' 14th birthday and my 49th birthday. Sounds like a great reason for a Disney Trip, huh? We honeymooned at the Polynesian back when there was only a MK and Epcot. Of course, Miles will be in 8th grade, so a mid-May week away may not really work so well for us. (And the fact that we'll have had two in college for two years at that point.) It's a nice dream, though.

You're so young! We will be a few months shy of our 37th anniversary (our 25th is this Sept 22) when Lizzy graduates. I am already 48 now so I don't want to do the math for how old I will be. Joe will have finished 2 years of college and Emma will be enrolling that fall so 2 years of 1 in college, 4 years of 2 in college, and 2 final years of 1 in college-assuming no grad school. I hate to admit since I'm an accountant but I've been blissfully avoiding thinking about all that.......:scared1:

Our neighbor's dogs just chased a sunk into our yard-under my bedroom window-now I've got a nasty headache:headache:

Tia how is Terra feeling?

She's doing much better, thanks! She maybe got back into the 99 degree area today, but mostly stayed cool as a cucumber. I think we're over the hump. Of course, now's the struggle to remember to finish the meds. Gotta set a reminder in my phone, I think, to help.

Well, I am back from my training tonight and need to finish getting ready for a meeting in the morning. Then I have to get up early in the morning to finish (okay, do) my work stuff. Right after that, I've got a leader meeting and then, hopefully nothing! Well, two cousins over for a little while and family arriving after midnight, but that's close enough. Oh yeah, guess I do need to figure out where that family is sleeping and prepare for that. :rolleyes1

Can I pretend that if we were in our house and I had my own space that I would be more organized? If so, what will my excuse be at that point? :confused3  At least I will say that I'm getting better. Next week I have to focus hard on yard sale and donation stuff. We were going to do them next Wed and Sat, but Wed is supposed to be wicked hot so maybe we'll do that Sat and the next Wed. So much was on the slate for before the family arrived, but the influx of meetings killed that. Onward and upward, I guess.

...and that last post's craziness tells me that I'm going to pay for forgetting to get caffiene free at the gas station on the way to my meeting. I contemplated pouring it out and started over, but decided not to be wasteful. Bad call, I think. Good night all!

Bernadette great pics so far.

I am so jealous of all the current trips going on.

This
is quite tempting. Unlimited flying for 1 month for $599, but the closest airport would be Newark or NYC.

Hope you are all having a great week.

Good morning, DDA!

Robyn - You all remain in our thoughts and prayers! I know that you are doing the right thing, but I also know that it can't be easy. I hope that the courts have the wisdom to see what's best and agree with you and CPS.

Anne Marie - Love the trip pictures.

Bernadette - Can't wait to look at yours. Hopefully, I'll get a chance this afternoon.

Jen - Sounds like a great cruise.

MagicMeeters - Sounds like it was a great weekend! Glad to have a new member in the DDA. (Sorry that I missed your first post - Hi, I'm Tia, mom to a great 6yo, Terra, and wife to the non-travelling, but still loveable, Phil.)

Tammi - I know you're gone, but in case you read...Thanks for the updates along the way. Sounds like you're having fun. I'm glad Bob's hearing ended well.

Debbie sorry to hear about the rough start today. Please have Elizabeth let us know you made it safely & have a wonderful time!

Ditto all.

Thanks for the link to your photos Bernadette.
I will look at them tonight. The cruise sounds great Jennifer!
Debbie I sure hope everything turns out okay and you arrive safetly at WDW!

Morning everyone, I am off to grate zucchini and then make cake.

In the summertime Thursdays are usually my Fridays. But tomorrow morning I have to meet with a student who is just so busy that it is absolutely the only day they can meet with me. I saw this child's schedule... the parents are certifiable. Why do people overschedule their kids and then complain that they can't seem to get everything done? What are we doing to our kids??? rant over...

I haven't heard that in a long time. Thanks!

We'll have 2 years of 1 in college, 2 years of 2 in college, 2 years of 1 in college, 2 years off, and 4 years of 1 in college. I'm sure that Matthew at least will go to grad school, but I'm not thinking of that right now. :scared1:

No problem. DH was born about 100 years too late. This technology stuff scares him. He puts up with my Dising and mulitiple trips a year to WDW so I need to respect that request.

The technology itself doesn't scare my dh, since he works with it. The social aspects of the technology and how easy it is to get information scare him. He has become more tolerant of my Dising, but I still hear about it sometimes.

I also sometimes don't stop to think that more people read this than the "regular" DDA.

Wouldn't you know it...with just 5 days until our trip there is not one, but THREE tropical storms brewing in the Atlantic Basin. I sure hope that the weather in Cancun is okay. I NEED sunshine and white beaches.

yum!

ETA: Weird...I typed that "yum" in all caps, and it changed everything to lower case, including the quote.

I have had that happen before... seems the DIS wants us all using our indoor voices.

I hope the weather holds for you guys, Deb!
