Emma's Buzz sundress:

Emma's Dug (Up) dress. It is growing on me. I need to do more applique so I can get better and be happy with the results. Emma LOVES it so that is what really matters!

I really like the buttons for the eyes. I think the eyes might be a bit too close but Emma says to leave it as it is. I got the image from a coloring book and he had his eyes closed in the picture so placement was a bit tough. I also really love the balloon fabric.

adorable!

Don't tell me that, lie to me woman, lie to me! I want to be able to do it in the fall (Nov.)

If they extended the Wishes dessert thing I would book it for October. But I am kind of thinking they won't due to the MNSSHP and then the holidays. We will see.

Bernadette - I would hold off on the upgrade to CSR. I just read that Pop Warner will be there.:scared: I am working on verifying that. If that is their "contracted" hotel we are moving somewhere else.
American added more flights this AM so I have some on hold that are at decent times.
Your projects are all so CUTE! Good job! :thumbsup2
Yikes! on the camera battery. That sounds bad.

Marci is going to WDW 7/29 and they are cruising starting 8/1. I will miss her because they will leave for the port before our flight gets in.

Jen - About time you packed! :rotfl:

Bernadette - the camera/flash/battery thing does not sound good!
I put the charger into a new outlet and it said the one battery was fully charged but the camera wouldn't work.

There is a high price camera store in town-Gene said he'd take it in tomorrow to see if they have any advice.

Best Buy says several stores have the battery in stock for $60 but I think it is more likely the charger or the camera as I can't imagine both batteries would die at the exact same time. Best Buy doesn't carry the charger. I have a 2nd charger in Orlando but I don't really want to drag the camera down there only to find out that it still won't work.:headache:

If the dessert parties are a hit I don't see why Disney wouldn't still do them on non MNSSHP & MVMCP nights-why not get as much extra $$$ as they can unless they thought that people would choose one over the other????

YIKES!!! Is Pop Warner at Pop Century too?????

In past years they were NOT at Pop, except for maybe as overflow. I just read on TPAS that they are at All Stars and CSR this year. :sad2: I am on the phone now. We'll see what they have to say. We may switch back to AKL on a room-only.

The Dis is so slow.:headache:

I keep forgetting to mention that I have all the clothes for all of us on my bed so I'm making good progress with the packing. I guess I should pack if I want to go to bed. Only problem is I don't know how I'll get a queen bed's worth of clothes into the 2 checked bags I planned on taking. I do have a larger suitcase but it is rather heavy empty so I'm worried it will be to easy to go over 50 pounds. Guess I won't know unless I try......

Bernadette - I am pleased to hear you are packing! Better late than never. I can get a queen bed's worth of stuff into one suitcase, but it is pretty heavy. Not 70 lbs. like DH said, but VERY close to 50 lbs. :rolleyes1

CRO seems rather unclear on where they are putting the Pop Warners. At first she said "Let me look." Came back and said yes, they are at CSR. OK, then we need to move. Then she said "Wait, that was for May 2009, they might not be there during your dates." She went to check with someone from group reservations and then she said they don't know which resorts Pop Warner is going to in December. Hmm. OK. Let's not chance it. So we moved back to AKl.

:woohoo: Ann Marie you are going to have a wonderful time

Ann Marie & Dana
Not sure if I have the right husband.
Yep you got the right one! Thank you!!

So who all is getting ready to go?

Anne Marie, Marci, Bernadette, me, Tammi, and Debbie? I think I got everyone in the correct order of arrival. Lots of ticking going on around the DDA over the next couple of weeks!
Me me!!! I am not packed though!!!:lmao: The kids are but not Dana & I. I will be working on that tomorrow.

Bernadette,
Nice job on the clothes!!!! Hope you can get your camera/battery to work.

I couldn't go to my 40th HS reunion this weekend because my boss is out of town. I am not complaining, it is the way it is.

However, there are a bunch of photos from the get-together on facebook now and I am shocked at all the old people who were there! Alright, I know that is the cliche, but REALLY... they are OLD! I am the same age they are and I don't think I look like that. Admittedly most everyone is heavier (that made me feel better :) ) but they look like their parents! I am truly surprised. I know I am not a spring chicken nor do I think I look like a 30 year old, but with two exceptions, these people looked like they were way up in their 60s. Unless the 50-somethings I hang around with on a regular basis are particularly well-preserved. :confused3

Anne Marie - WHAT are you waiting for??? :scared1: You need to pack!!
I have been thinking that we should definitely meet for a celebratory Dole Whip at MK. :)

Elin - I haven't tried to go to any of my reunions, but I have seen pictures. The guys are mostly heavy and bald. The girls are either much heavier (like me) or emaciated and tanned like shoe leather. I am not sure what they will look like in 20 more years, but I don't imagine it will be pretty.

Hi, hope you are all well.

I got home after 1am the last 2 nights so I am pooped. I can not believe tomorrow is Monday already. Friday night was drive in Saturday was wedding. Today I did a touch of cleaning.

I think I can now do Magic Meets. I think am going to take the Friday off before the Magic meet and then Sat. for magic meet. But online it appears that the Radisson has no rooms available. That's what happens when I have no idea what I am able to do. So I am not sure what I am doing.

I also need to figure out what I am doing with all of my vacation time by the end of the month. My brother and I are talking about going to Vegas for a week in Sept. as I need to use all my time by the end of Sept.

If I do both of those I still have 3 days to figure out what to do with by the end of Sept.

I hope you are all doing well.

I just went through facebook to see if anybody from my graduating class (that I liked) was on.....thankfully they are all heavier too.:rotfl2:

Well, i am about 80% packed--ill do some more tonight.
I am sitting here watching extreme makeover-home edition. This show always makes me cry, which is why i never watch it--but it sucked me in tonight!!

DS and I just watched the Next Food Network Star. I have enjoyed watching it over the past few weeks - never really paid attention before.

Princess and DS both have camp every day this week. And I think I am only working for about an hour on Friday morning. Sounds like an easy week, but it's not. My afternoons are brutal.

Monday we have the housekeeper and her slamming bucket handle, Tuesday Princess has her follow-up with the allergist, Wednesday we have that mean little girl and her Portuguese speaking nanny coming to play (and I am working late), Thursday I have to be there to let the exterminator in, then we have to be out of the house while the bug bomb detonates and the spray dries. By Friday I will probably only have enough energy to work for an hour! :sad2: Hopefully that plan will not change.

So I decided I wasn't up for even trying to use my smaller check in bag. I used the big one and while it feels heavy I don't think it is 50 pounds. I've got all the clothes pack so just a few carry one things to pack now.

I did a search on Nikon D90 battery errors and the most helpful thing I found was an old thread on the photo board here on the Dis. It appears to be either a problem with the memory stick OR a problem with the camera body. I'm still none too happy about it but I'll see how things go at Disney and then know if I need to call Nikon when I get home.

Bernadette - I hate that you are going into the trip with camera issues! I think DH is bringing 3 of his 4 dSLRs, so maybe he can share one with you if yours goes kaput. Heck, maybe he can just GIVE you one of his! :rotfl2: He was out today buying yet another memory card.

I am not 100% sure my checked bag is under 50 lbs. I will approach the curbside sky cap with a BIG smile and visible cash in my hand. :rolleyes1 They used to charge for curbside check-in, but they stopped that when the airlines started charging for checked bags. A tip for the guy will not cost me as much as an overweight bag will, and I tip them anyway. I think the battery in my bathroom scale is dying so I question the accuracy of the weight readings.

Deb sounds like you all had a wonderful time. Happy belated Anniversary to you & Chris

Bernadette love the clothes you made :thumbsup2

Good morning. :)

I promise I will be reading along but probably not around much to post this week. I have a very hectic schedule at work until Friday.

For those of you leaving for vacations in the next few days, I hope you have a wonderful time!
