Hi, DDA!

Quick fly-by post to let you guys know that Austin arrived safely at 7:57 this morning. He weighed 6 lbs, 5 ozs and was 19 inches long. We are just thrilled with him, and appreciate everyone's prayers and PD.

I will post pics as soon as possible, but as I'm still being treated for BP issues (with the dreaded mag drip), I can barely keep my eyes open and am not mobile as of yet. But I have high hopes for tomorrow.

Good night, DDA!

Congratulations Lindsay and Jonathon! :cloud9: Please take care, and take your time with those pictures. Your recovery and bonding with Austin is far more important. :goodvibes

My managers dh was suppose to have his bypass & heart valve replacement this morning. They had him all prepped & ready to go & the Dr. called in sick  I know they are human too, but I can honestly say this is the 1st time I have heard this lol

So now it has been rescheduled for next Thursday. I really hope it happens this time!

Not good! I hope the surgery goes well next week!

Good night, DDA!

Happy Birthday to Austin!! And I am sorry you are still having troubles. Take care, MOM!

Ah -- my ticket wasn't discounted and there had been no change in pricing. So you're trying to figure out if you have to wait until the "next" day to upgrade, or if you only have to have gone through the ticket machine to consider the ticket used. I hope you get to save the $50!

If I understand the question is as Marci describes it, then yes, I believe you can do that. As long as the ticket has gone through the machine even one time, it is considered used and has full value, from what I've seen.

Laura had almost 3 hours of homework last night. She wants to know what is up with that much homework on the first day of school! :confused3 She may also be giving up synchronized swimming but hasn't fully committed to that yet. She is pretty sure that she won't have time for synchro (which is 10+ hours of practice time per week...more like 13+ hours if you add in drive time, changing time, etc), and she doesn't really love it any more. It is hard for her to imagine not doing it, though, so she needs a little more time to decide.

Wow, that's got to be a tough decision for Laura. I hope she's able to come to the best decision for her and be at peace with it. Yeah for no chorus for Miles, though!

Popping in to see if there was any news on baby Austin.

Sending hugs to everyone who needs them for sick family members, Heidi's loss, job decisions, school troubles, work issues...

I work 6 out of the next 8 nights, so I will be pretty incognito. Hope everyone has a great week!

Hope your long nights this week treat you well.

Good morning, DDA!

We have an empty calendar today!!! Of course, I also have a home to do list 5 miles long so that's not helping. At least we're not running constantly though and Terra can have an easier day. Tomorrow is good too...even better!

I talked to my other co-leader last night and got a lot of good response and support from her. She had some ideas on how to proceed which affirmed my thoughts and added a few new ideas and I'm feeling good about just moving forward. I'll respond to the other ones emails politely and firmly. Mostly, though, I've just got to learn to let the aspects that come across condesendingly or as attacks roll off my back. Of course, that's the part that will be hard to start with anyway, but I'll get there. Thanks for all of the encouragement!

For now, I've got a pile of stuff to get through in the kitchen. I really need my own space!!!!!! I'm out of room to organize my own Scout stuff around here. Off to go find some though!

Anne Marie - how is Katie doing?

Better thanks, she had to come home early yesterday because her head hurt but she went today. I had all her forms signed so the nurse can give her an advil so hopefully she will be able to get through the day. Thanks for asking.

How are your kids liking school? Mine are happy so far so I am happy!:thumbsup2

Congratulations! Take care of yourself, and take advantage of all the help you have now and get plenty of rest.

The weather forecast for tomorrow is now showing rain. :sad2: I guess we'll spend more time at the indoor water park and less time at the Great Escape. Sunday is still looking good so hopefully we'll get some amusement park fun in then. The kids have their homework done and I thought about starting to pack;)
