DDA Chapter 22

I've enjoyed all the pictures of late. Wow, the DDA kiddos are really growing up.

Today and tomorrow are pretty busy for me so I probably won't get on here much. Since I have the closing shift at the restaurant I hope that I can come home and go straight to school.

And for today's amazing feat of "noise with ordinary objects" the housekeeper is slamming a ceramic trash can around the bathroom using the vacuum cleaner! WOW! When the trash can hits against those tiles it is LOUD! :thumbsup2 Stunning! :yay:

I am so pleased to be working late tonight so I can get the full brunt of Princess having yet another crummy nap!

Thanks for all the comments.

I am happy to report that both kids had excellent first days. They are both happy with their teachers, even Nicholas, who I was a little concerned about. Luckily football practice for tonight was cancelled due to weather so we got to have our annual first day of school dinner at DQ where we sat and talked about all of the events of the day. We brought our Blizzards home for snacks later. ;)

NICE! The little guy on the right is adorable! :goodvibes

since I am right/left challenged...the one in brown or white??

Brown is Jacob...the oldest (in kindergarten, 5 and 1/2). Can be sweet, but very used to getting his way..seemed to get more attached to Abi.

White is Ethan...he is 3....he got way attached to Cassidy. Called her Mickey (as in Mouse) after Saturday. He said some of the silliest things.

Little one is Caleb...he is the sweetest of all three boys as a baby.

The one in the white. Ethan. He looks like Nicholas did when he was that age.

Poor Princess is hacking and hacking. I happened to look at her inhaler when I was putting the dinner dishes away and it's the wrong one!! :scared1: It's her short acting rescue inhaler, not her daily maintenance meds! I KNOW I refilled it before I went to WDW - all I can figure is that the pharmacy gave us the other one when I called in the refill.

The pharmacy is 24 hours, and they DO have a refill for her, so when my bosses get home I will verify that we don't have another maintenance one somewhere in the house. I feel bad for her - her cough is brutal. :guilty:

Glad to hear everyone had good holiday weekends, and great first days of school! I sometimes miss that anticipation of a brand new year. :)

And Tammi - my goodness, Alyssa is such a fashion plate!

Thought I would let you guys know that I'm typing this from the hospital. Long story short, but we may be welcoming Austin tonight if some labs come back troublesome (blood pressure related on me - he looks fine), or we'll be welcoming him at the break of dawn on Thursday (6:30 am). Either way, he'll be joining us sooner rather than later, it seems - which is good news to us as long as all goes well with his delivery. Needless to say, I hit that wall of most definitely being tired of pregnancy on Sunday!

I'll keep you guys posted! Send good thoughts that we'll do this Thursday am so the grandparents can be here, and I can eat some dinner. I'm starving to say the least!!

Oh Lindsay, how exciting! I'm sending lots of prayers that you and Austin can hold off until Thursday to let the family get into town. I know how important that is. Please post when you can, or teach Jonathan how to do it! Good luck and lots of :wizard: for an easy delivery and a healthy baby!

A quick fly-by post. I had a wonderful Labor Day week-end. Friday was a furlough day (unpaid day off) so I had a 5-day week-end. We went camping at McLain State Park on Lake Superior. It is the campground that Chuck and I camped in when we were newlyweds. I love it up there. It is about 15 miles from where we met (Michigan Tech). We got to do all of our favorite things. We also got to see our closest college friends, Bob & Liz, who still live up there. We got together for lunch on Saturday at the Ambassador and I had my traditional MaiTai and a traditional submarine sandwich (which is basically a normal sub but tastes so much better than any other I've ever had). We then went to Bob & Liz's for dinner and hung out there. They have lived there for 26 years so it feels very comfortable as we've stayed there many times in the past. Sunday, we kayaked for 3.5 hours on the Sturgeon River.

I'm very relaxed. I'm hoping to maintain that this week. Hope that all is well with all of my DDA friends. I miss you. I ran into a DVC member, she had on a DVC polo, today. It was great talking to another Disney fan. It made me miss all of you more.

Lindsay, I'm so excited about the new DDA baby that is coming into the world. Best of Luck and I'm looking forward to hear of the latest arrival. Take care of yourself. Tell Jonathon hi from Chuck & I.
