Good Morning, DDA!!!


Anyone ever have any trouble logging in? I tried several times using Firefox. It would bring up the "thank you for logging in...redirecting" screen, but then redirect me to the log in page. I finally was able to log in on IE, but I don't know if it is a browser problem or that was just coincindence.

Debbie - Sams Club (BJ's or Costco's) jalapeno stuffed poppers. I think they come spicy cheese stuffed and the price isn't too bad. (Our's are $10 for about 40 poppers - I've heated them in the microwave and transported in a warm crock pot and they are fine.)

Tammi - THANK YOU! The baby now officially has it's first Disney toy! I'll post a picture sometime tonight if I remember. I saw your name on the box and I'm like "that's a heck of a lot of maps!".

I tried again with Firefox, and it worked. I don't know what happened the first time. Probably user error somehow.

Matthew was able to see his advisor yesterday and worked out his schedule. He wasn't able to do it before the registrar's office closed, though, so he needs to get that part done today. The advisor convinced him to retake Calc I and Chem I even though he had 5s on the APs. I guess that makes sense, since he'll need to build on those classes, and it will give him an easier first semester. They have had experience with kids passing the tests but not completely understanding the material, so they prefer that they retake any classes that they really need for their major.

Laura went up to the State Fair with a friend yesterday and also saw Kelly Clarkson in concert there.

Nothing exciting happened for the rest of us. I had a board meeting for synchronized swimming and have to figure out how to tell dh that fees are going to almost double this year. He's not fond of the whole drama situation anyway.

Firefox has been a little wonky since we installed Skype. Maybe it was just "confused" in that instance. Everything seems good now.

I have been a busy girl this morning. After reading on the Fireworks Buffet thread about the conflict with DDP and booking that thing, I called back. I still could not get our first choice of dates, but I was able to book October 5 so I grabbed it.

I also booked 4 wine seminars and the Warren Brown/Mary Myers "Cake Love" culinary demnstration/wine presentation for myself. myBob won't go so these are just for me!

Good Morning DDA!!!

Today is the last official day of summer vacation for the boys. School starts Monday for them. It's supposed to be cool here so we probably won't go swimming, not sure what we will end up doing today. I do need to have the kids get all their supplies together and we need to figure out what I need to buy for snacks and lunch stuff. Where did the summer go?

Between our vacation and the fact that I should have time now...I'm planning on hitting the gym after work each day starting next week. My new year's resolution was to be in the best shape of my adult life before my 40th birthday and that is just a few weeks away now Thankfully I've been eating well so I just need to add the exercise in now. I've got to admit that I do not enjoy excercise at all so this is going to be a huge challenge for me.

Thanks, Elizabeth. I am looking forward to the desserts, but mainly am looking forward to seeing Spectro (what we can) and Wishes with Bob. He never goes to see these because he hates standing around. This way he can sit and see as much or as little as he chooses to. Oh, yeah... and there is cake.

Elin - Glad you got the dessert party! The F&WF events sound great.

Beth - Glad to hear Matthew is getting things worked out. It sounds like the counselor had a good suggestion. Even if some is repeat he can hone up on it and won't get overwhelmed right off the bad by starting at the higher levels. Hope the swimming issues resolve soon! (And that DH doesn't have a heart attack over the fee increases.)

Jen - Is today skydiving? (or is it tomorrow?) Either way, for good weather and a fun time!

Phil should be down any second to go to work so I guess I had better make sure Terra is ready to walk out the door. Why is it that he leaves absolutely NO extra time to get there. I mean literally, not even an extra second. I may often run later than I want to, but I try to leave a little leeway in time just in case.

We were there on a Spectro night. You could see the tops of the floats when they came around the castle hub, but that was really about it. I'm glad you got something! What was the conflict you referred to about the DDP and the dessert party?

Tomorrow morning...Im not sure if its going to happen, the forecast says rain...I keep having hope though because I really dont want it to get cancelled! I know they will reschedule, but I just hope they reschedule for a weekend..So everything is in a "wait and see" ...

Today i am just having lunch with my friend from college that just got engaged. Then I think I have dinner plans with some friends--its one of the guys birthdays, so im waiting to find out if its still a go!

Apparently, and this is hearsay, the dining program that WDW uses hangs onto the fact that you are or are not on the DDP. If you are, some items don't some up on their screen when they look for availability. There is a box they can uncheck. Or so I have been reading.

Beth Firefox was horrid when I installed Skype, I finally got rid of it. Actually it made my computer run terribly slow. Do you have the Skype logo on your upper toolbar(not sure what to call it)? If so once you get rid of that extension it will help. If I remember correctly I went into tools & then add ons & disabled it.
