Sounds great, thanks so much for the beautiful e card, hopefully things will calm down around her for a little while at least. I had an appointment with my lung doctor today, things checked out well, he did scold me for going to my primary care doctor instead of him in May as he didn't agree with the meds that she gave me. I have been told to contact him first, so that's what I will do from here on out. When I first started seeing him I couldn't walk across the room without having a horrible coughing spell, now I hardly have any problems with a few exceptions so he obviously knows what he's doing.

I'm glad that things are better and now you know who to turn to when you get sick

I come to you from my newly set up and of so wonderful computer. I am so looking forward to a reliable connection, reliable computer useability and finally being able to work on my own projects (namely photo organization ). Tomorrow's number one goal: mail off the rebate forms! I also need to get this one networked to the printer; maybe go ahead and get the new external drive since I'll be returning the power strip and speakers that I didn't end up needing; and install the rest of my programs. For now, I'm just happy to be set up, online and have the desk reorganized so that Mom/Rachel's computer and my computer can be used at the same time. Happy dance time!

Anne Marie - Glad your making some headway on unpacking.

Amy - Good luck with finalizing all of your party plans for this weekend. May clear skies abound!

My laptop is not working at the moment, not sure what is going on. I will get on dh's computer when I can.

Today is shaping up to be a busy one for me. Both jobs today as well as getting Colby to speech. Oh well at least it's Wednesday.

Thanks to a certain enabler here, who shall remain nameless, Kristine , I've rented a car for our August trip. Since we've never had one, we will try it and see how we like it. I like the fact that I won't have to leave for the airport 3 hours early. I was able to book an intermediate with Avis for $235 for 8 days. Guess I had better learn the routes now.

BTW, anyone have a parking pass that they aren't going to be using?

So much to do, so little time. I've got a training meeting this morning, babysitting and laundry this afternoon, need to get some of my work shop done today and who knows what else. Laundry mostly - this no washer thing is about to kill me. I think Mom's about ready to just buy a new one which will be good!

My hard drive went kaput. Just makes me sad for all the pictures I have lost Gary kept telling me to transfer everything so now I get to listen to his "I told you so".

I think you're going to be so glad you rented. We always have and love the convenience of getting around when we want to. We are always at the parks early, so no problem parking then and by the time we go back in the early evening, we can usually easily find spaces. It sounds like you got a decent deal, too.

Janet -- I'm so sorry. That just really stinks. There are places that can try to recover as many pics as possible. You might try pricing a couple to see what you can find.

Happy belated birthday to Matty and Noah!

This baseball and the heat and work are kicking my booty. We had a game at 10 p.m. Monday night. Today's game is at 3:45 and we're expecting a heat index of between 103 and 106 or higher this week. I think tomorrow we also play in the afternoon, but the games Friday and Saturday are in the morning. Then the world series will be over! Andrew is having a ball and playing well, and I do enjoy the parents of the kids he plays with so that's a bonus.

Oh Janet, I can imagine how heartbreaking that is for you. Maybe they can be recaptured if you take it somewhere? I refuse to erase mine off of the camera memory card until I put them on disc 2x, just for that reason.

I'm sorry. I got an external hard drive for Christmas and I still haven't transferred our photos to it. We've got a couple of old computers too. I really need to do that.

We used out car last year & thought it was so convenient. Friends of ours were there too & they used the buses. We made it to the parks in less time than they did on the buses. Even driving from AK to AKL for dinner, took them an additional 15 minutes. You will love having a car.
