Vicki - Safe travels tomorrow. Glad you had a nice weekend.

Debbie - Glad the party went well. I hope your feet are doing better in the morning. Ouch!

Tammy - I'm so glad you got your airfare figured out. Sounds like it worked out for the best.

Tammi - I am glad you got your flights worked out and I have my fingers crossed that you can use your SW credit for a ticket for October! Did you have a good day today?

Vicki - Sounds like you and Chuck had a good weekend. Travel safe tomorrow.

Debbie - for all your hard work and sore feet!

Tomorrow is another morning of solitude....ahhhhhh..... I think I'm going to rearrange the desk and get the new computer set up. I think I can configure the desk so that we can make both computers (dads and mine) accessible at the same time, which will be nice. Just have to make sure mine is the most tucked away so that it's less of a temptation.

Tammi - I am glad you got your flights worked out and I have my fingers crossed that you can use your SW credit for a ticket for October! Did you have a good day today?
We did. Nicholas and I found all but 3 of the scavenger hunt things. We ran out of time and had to get back to pick up Alyssa. The weather has been gorgeous! Knock on wood.

I finally have my flight issues for August resolved. I was really getting antsy since I still needed return flights and the prices were not budging. I'm going to cancel the 3 SWA flights, which will leave me with $218 in credit (preferably for October ;)). I booked r/t out of Dulles on UAL, leaving here at 7:18 AM and leaving Orlando at 4:50 PM. That gets us back here in the evening, but not too terribly late. Plus it is more convenient to get to Dulles than BWI. I think the park-n-fly will be cheaper there too. So all in all I'm spending $45 more, once baggage is added in, but the convenience factor and times are worth it. That's a load off of my mind.

Janet - I'm glad you talked to Garrett.

Robyn - I hope the bite continues to improve.

Kristine - how are you? Haven't heard from you lately.

I'm glad you worked out your flights, I know it's been weighing heavily on your mind

Janet, glad to hear that Garrett made it safely :goodvibes

Theresa I hope that things improve for your family quickly, it has been a long haul for you.:wizard:

Chuck & I had a great time camping this week-end but we came back a day early so we could get some stuff done around the house. Friday was a state holiday and today was an unpaid furlough day. We spent three hours kayaking on Saturday. We weren't interested an any of the 4th activities. Disney has spoiled us when it comes to that.

I am heading to Marquette tomorrow morning at 5:30am to pick up some equipment that I need to deliver to Lansing. I need to get it there by the end of the day.

Vicki I'm glad that you were able to get away for a few days. It's nice to have a change of pace, even if it doesn't live up to Disney standards ;)

I really need to get my eating back under control. I'm up about 10 lbs and there is only 2 months until my 40th birthday :scared: My New Year's resolution was to be in shape by my 40th so I'd better get my butt in gear or maybe it's make my butt disappear ;)

Tia - have a great morning!

Tammi - :yay: on the Itty Bitty City hunt!! Let's hope this gorgeous weather continues. :)

Deb - I am with you on getting back on track. I need to do the same. My lost pounds are slowly finding themselves re-attached to my body and I am not happy. But I have to find some kind of PUSH to get me going.

Matty...You are THREE YEARS OLD!!

Vicki - Safe travels today. Glad you had a nice weekend.

Debbie - Glad the party went well. I hope your feet are doing better this morning. Ouch!

Tammy - I'm so glad you got your airfare figured out. Sounds like it worked out for the best.

Ditto, Thanks Tia!

I have been reading along I promise but the DIS is whonky and things aren't much better here.

I just took back a pair of Merrell sandals because they KILLED my feet. But that is the only time that has ever happened to me with ANY brand of casual shoe (all dress shoes kill my feet). They were "slide" type and they made the bone of my big toe hurt way back up into the middle of my foot. Hopefully your shoes will be fine! The first pair you posted look very similar to some my friend has and I think she is happy with hers.

Thanks! Garrett called a little while ago, so at least I know they all made it safely "whew"

Glad to hear Lu's bite is looking better today.

Glad Garrett made it safely! :goodvibes

Robyn, no sun for me yesterday - we ended up doing errands and shopping. Today there will be sun. But I forgot to take my antibiotic last night so hopefully I won't fry today. Glad Lu is better!

Thanks for the well wishes everyone, it did turn out well but I'm totally exhausted. We were at the hall from 5:45 am until 7:30 pm, note to self, Do Not buy new shoes for an event that requires standing on your feet all day!

Eek! I have lots of shoe issues. See my comments to Theresa. ;) Glad the party was successful!

We did. Nicholas and I found all but 3 of the scavenger hunt things. We ran out of time and had to get back to pick up Alyssa. The weather has been gorgeous! Knock on wood.

Yay for flights!! :yay:
The scavenger hunt sounds really fun. :)

Well, I had a nice morning. I had a leisurely breakfast at IHOP while reading my new Mousejunkies book. After that, I went to a few stores looking at computers. I picked up a daughter who wasn't ready to leave church so I'll definitely have several mornings to myself this week. Woohoo! Of course, one of those will be tied up with a 2 hour meeting, but better than having to drag Terra long for that.

I think we're going to get a computer from the Office Depot ad this week. It's is 640gb hard drive, 8gm ram, 20" hd screen, quad core processor for $600 after rebates. I've tried to build something similar on several sites and am getting prices closer to $900. So, I guess this is what we're going for. After the rebates come back, I'll go and get a bigger external drive as well so we have room to back up both computers. It will be so nice to have a reliable computer readily available to me as opposed to my dad's which is slowly and painfully dying or Phil's which is upstairs too far from where I need to be most times.

And on the job front, I have several long-term leads, but hopefully something for the immediate time will come up. Our neighbor is having a baby in January and will need childcare as of Feb. She was excited to find out I did so and at a rate she could afford so I'm pretty sure we're set for that. Then, I friend with a 10mo girl just moved back to town. He's doing freelance work right now, but will also be looking for something permanent. He's going to be in touch about having me watch his little girl when that comes about, plus maybe some for freelancing. And a friend at church has a friend who may need before/after school care for her kindergartener in the fall. So, hopefully one or two of those will work out in the long run. Now to just take care of now, though word of mouth seems to be working for me.

Sounds like a great morning! That is how I've gotten all of my daycare kids, word of mouth. It's kept me busy for the past 9 years!

Robyn - I am glad Lucy is better today!

Tia - sounds like a great day around for you.

Deb - good work!

Thanks, me too!!

I have been reading along I promise but the DIS is whonky and things aren't much better here.

Glad to hear Lu's bite is looking better today.

Safe is good!! Thanks!

:yay: on airfare!! I think we're in the clear on the bite front!!

Thanks for the well wishes everyone, it did turn out well but I'm totally exhausted. We were at the hall from 5:45 am until 7:30 pm, note to self, Do Not buy new shoes for an event that requires standing on your feet all day!

What a long day. I hope you had some time to just relax and put your feet up.

Chuck & I had a great time camping this week-end but we came back a day early so we could get some stuff done around the house. Friday was a state holiday and today was an unpaid furlough day. Safe tavels!!

Tia - have a great morning!

Deb - I am with you on getting back on track. I need to do the same. My lost pounds are slowly finding themselves re-attached to my body and I am not happy. But I have to find some kind of PUSH to get me going.

Deb & Elin, I also need to kick it up a notch. I am still holding at 38lbs but haven't been seriously trying the last 2 months. Just too much going on. I wanted to be at my goal weight by my 35th birthday but I don't see me losing another 40lbs in 2 months. Em's martial arts academy is talking of offering a women's class (cardio and jui jitsu combined) and I hope they get it going. One of the dad's joined the regular class and lost 11lbs in 3 weeks!

Robyn, no sun for me yesterday - we ended up doing errands and shopping. Today there will be sun. But I forgot to take my antibiotic last night so hopefully I won't fry today. Glad Lu is better!

Well, still puts lots of sunscreen on and a wear a hat, it's still in your system!

We are off to the free movies today and I need to get Em's camp forms dropped off to her pediatrician. I completely forgot about them last week in all the craziness! Then I am hoping for a quiet afternoon sitting in the sun with a good book while the kids nap.

Enjoy your day!!

Good morning!

Tammi,
:cool1: for your flights!

Janet,
Glad Garrett got there safe.

Deb,
Me too. :guilty:

Debbie,
:wizard: for your tired feet.

Vicki,
Sounds like a fun weekend.

Amy,
Happy Birthday Matty!!!!!!pirate:
