We just got over to my moms for Dinner. She just told me if my Dad does not get some work in she will not be going on the Disney trip with me. I have already bought airfare for her and my nephew. I have also already paid for the hotel, dining and park tickets. I got the rental car on priceline so not sure if I can even cancel that. I will have to eat the airfare as the travel by date on it is May 1st next year. Not sure how much I will have to pay Disney to change or cancel completely the trip.

I am about ready to cry or scream.

Dad came home from the hospital this morning. Hopefully he has a speedy problem free recovery.

We are home and Tammi is on the road. We didn't pass one another but she texted me about the time we were pulling in the driveway and she was getting ready to leave then

Jennifer - I hope things improve very quickly so your trip is not ruined. As Janet said, things are really tough everywhere right now and I am so very sorry it is touching your life too.

We had a wonderful time. Not long enough... never long enough. We got Kathrin to the airport in plenty of time and as we were saying goodbye, a note came up on the departure board that her flight was delayed by 2 hours! We did what any good family does when a member is in trouble: we went to the bar and had a beer! We left there about 2 hours later and finished our drive home. I got a text from Kathrin about the time that we arrived home saying her plane had just landed. So now we are back to real life... Bob and the girls have to go to work tomorrow. I don't teach until next Monday, but I will have lots of preparation to do this week. Plus our lawn looks like it has grown a foot since we left last Sunday! And my garden needs some tending. I guess I "do" have to work tomorrow.

Also, I am stopping here for the evening because my post count is awesome!

It is nice to read the Elin made it home safely and that Tammi has embarked on her vacation. We have safely arrived at our Resort. The older boys have already joined in on the teen activities and Colby is looking forward to activities for his age group tomorrow. He can't wait to get rid of us Today was rainy and cold, but since we were travelling it wasn't too bad. We managed to set up without getting too wet. We have a golf cart for the rest of the week (we are sharing it with my brother's family). All the kids think that's pretty cool and really it is. We start tournaments tomorrow. They are broken down by age/sex and some are couples. The coveted prizes are t-shirts. We won 12 shirts (as a family) when we were here 3 years ago so we need new ones now

I'd better get to sleep or I won't be up in time for my first event.

Not crazy at all. Just go in knowing that you will need to go at a slower pace and Olivia will have to sit out any rides that Virginia can't go on. I'm sure you'd be fine. Do you have a teenaged niece or cousin that might want to join you? A good friend?

I do not think you are crazy. Do you have someone else you could take, so you would have an extra pair of hands with the girls? As I am sure Olivia may want to do some things that Virginia can not do.

Coming home after a great week at the shore is always hard. I know what you mean about the yard Elin. Ours looked like it had grown twice as much as usual.

yes that is the trip.

All of my friends have kids of their own. Most more then one. Plus since its 20 days till we are supposed to leave its short notice. I don't have a niece to take with me. I thought about asking my cousins 12 yr old DD but her sister would be so Jealous. The airfare has more then doubled both ways. I know their are about 7 or so rides that we wont be able to do. Soarin, Thunder Mountain, Slpash mountain, test trak, Kali river rapids and Dinosaur and Mission Space if we wanted those. I don't like rockin rollar coaster or tower of terror and Olivia says no to both of those as well as expedition everest as it has a monster. I think their is another one at AK that we will have to skip but cant remember the name. Space Mountain is closed for refurb while we are their.

Wow I did not realize this trip was so close! I say you should go ahead with your plans, there is so much more to Disney than the rides. Heck I can go & be content with just walking around & taking everything in.

With that being said only you will know if you can handle this alone with your girls. Follow your heart Jennifer, you will not know what is best.
