I am glad you all are home safe and sound. Bad storms on top of beach traffic would NOT be fun to deal with!

I hope we get the same kind of rain if we have to have it too!

Hmmmm.... maybe we will be there at the same time next year!

How did the photo session go?

We started taking pictures at 6:30pm because there was a threat of storms in the distance. The boys were just being very cranky and we kept promising lots and lots of ice cream which they did get but it sure was hard. Not sure if we got one picture where everyone was smiling just a bit!!!

I cannot wait to see what Howie has to show us.

Tammi, Alyssa's pictures are very nice. She looks so mature in that costume.


Nick is home, he had a good time. Now he is worried about getting a date for next years dance. I told him not to worry, I'm sure he won't have trouble

This year's 8th grade parents were talking about all the work they put into the dance. Listening to them makes me think that it is more for the parents than it is for the kids. I guess planning starts in February and by June it is a daily endevour.

I am home and exhausted! My cousin and I went to a free all day country concert--we saw a bunch of different acts--Very fun but tiring! now of course, i cant sleep!

Bernadette - the girl who didn't show up was for her ballet recital, which is tomorrow. I saw her teacher at tonight's recital (tap) and asked if they were able to get in touch with Hannah. They did, and they had gotten the days mixed up, which is easy to do when the recitals and rehearsal span 4 different days. Word is Hannah will be there tomorrow for the recital.

Tonight went wonderfully. All the girls danced perfectly and had a fantastic time. We celebrated with a stop at Cold Stone afterwards.

We have another long day of dance tomorrow. Goodnight everyone!

Those cameras won't get us evicted. Those cameras are not scattering little pieces of cat litter all over my bathroom. And as far as I know, Aurora and Arabella don't give a rat's tushy HOW many cameras we have.

Bernadette - How are your vacation plans coming along?

I had decided that Disney wasn't going to work and then I talked to a Disney fanatic Mom of one of Lizzy's friends. She's going to the Poly 7/14. I was looking for some photos online for her the other day and now I really want to go!!!!!

I told DH that my vacation accrual has changed. Instead of earning it 1/1 I now earn it on my anniversary date 11/4. Because of the budget schedule I really have to use my vacation by September. I have 16 days left. I can carry 5 forward so I have to use at least 11 this summer. I'll use 3 for the Cape thing but that leaves at least 8 more. I won't use to sit around the house and do nothing. When I told him that he said we need to get our photos taken for passports.

He's running out of time to plan a Canada trip. I know the passports are coming faster but they still take a few weeks. I don't know how difficult it is to get reservations for the ferry. I don't know how easy it will be for him to make hotel reservations for our family of 5. I won't go without a plan.

I have been keeping an eye on airfare. It is still $94 each way-not too bad. I have 1 free roundtrip ticket and a $30 credit.

Today is Lizzy's piano recital. I didn't go last year because someone was sick so it will nice to see her.

It's not as bad as it seems, we're only going to be there the 13th through the 16th, and we'll be having dinner with the DDA on the 14th. I definitely want to go offsite one of the other days, so that only leaves one day to "wing" it, we may end up eating in the food court that day.

Thanks for the compliments on my hair. I do like it, but I don't think that pictures do it justice. I've gotten more compiments on this cut than I have on any other that I've ever had.

Good luck sorting it out. The good news is that you can book a Disney trip at the last minute these days since attendence is down.

Bernadette - I don't know what dates you all were looking at for Canada, but yesterday was my 7 week mark for WDW. I would be in a PANIC if I was only allowing 6ish weeks for passports. And you do realize BOTH you and DH have to go to the passport office together to apply for the kids? ExDadboss tried to take Brother for his passport and they wouldn't let him get one unless ExMomboss was there, too.

I think it would be better for you to just come to WDW.

Debbie - I suppose not having ADRs for a 4 day trip is OK. We have one ADR each day for the most part. I didn't book anything for our arrival day - we'll get lunch at Mara and just grab whatever at MK that evening. The only day we have 2 ADRs is my birthday - breakfast at CP and dinner at Narcoosee's.

Yesterday I decided to take the plunge and have my teeth bleached. There is a booth at Sam's that does the whitening and then you can buy the kit to maintain your teeth at home. OK, fine. In photos my teeth look brown, and it is REALLY bothering me.
So I paid for a package - 2 applications and the after-care kit. The applications are 12 minutes each. I made it to about 6 minutes, then I got a sudden shooting pain on the bottom right. No surprise - the dentist told me the enamel is thin there. Well, that only lasted for a minute, then it stopped. A few minutes later I got the shooting pain on the top left. It was worse, and it lasted longer. It was almost bad enough for me to stop the treatment. As soon as I took the tray out of my mouth it was fine - no more sensitivity. But I was too scared to have the second application done. The girl said for me to come back today to have it done. But now I am not sure if I WANT the second application. I am worried that it will be more painful today than it was yesterday. I am going to Sam's when they open at 10 AM to see if they will refund my money for the second application. My teeth are not much whiter. MAYBE a shade or two. Nothing dramatic. And I read online that those systems usually make your teeth look a little whiter for a few days, then as the teeth rehydrate they don't look so white.

I'm not trying to talk you out of WDW by any means... I just want to make sure you know that the kids won't need passports for Canada if you do make those plans. Also, you can get passport cards which are cheaper and quicker if you don't plan to use passports for anything else.
