DDA chapter 21

Kristin was called for jury duty this month and filled out all her paperwork. She has not heard anything from the county concerning what she was supposed to do and we all talked about it at dinner last night. She was to get two weeks' notice and has not yet received anything from them.

I opened the paper this morning to read that there was a mistrial declared in a case before the Circuit Court in our county yesterday. The reason for the mistrial is that 8 of the 30 jurors who were supposed to show did not. Apparently this is unprecedented.

Now I am worried that they are going to come drag my daughter out of bed!!!

I saw that in the paper this morning too! They will issue a Show Cause subpoena, which is just that. She iwill have to go before a judge and show good cause why she didn't show up. They won't haul her in, it's a civil process, I believe. Good luck!

Don't forget, you can still have the Photopass people use your camera also.

That's going to have to be my fall back now. That was the biggest plus of the Photopass for me, it was the best way to get pictures of me and Terra together since I don't usually have someone else to take the picture. Guess we'll go back to that method now.

Colby is acting fine this morning. He is home since he was not fine at 2 AM. Oh well, I guess I can accomplish something around here today.

We had just awful storms again tonight, with hail and lot of lightning. Unfortunately two 12 year olds were struck by lightning as they were leaving a baseball field. One of them has died and the other one is in extremely critical condition. So sad.

Good morning, DDA!! Not sure what's on tap for today. The baby was quite tired this morning so we passed on an outing with Kristi for now. Now she's waking up from her morning nap so we'll see if she's good for going out for a little while. We finally have a decent day out there though a little cool. We do need to go to the library soon so maybe we'll just do that. We may also drive down to the old city market place area with Mom a little later. First week of summer and already I'm undecided and lazy about getting out. Ick. Oh well, I think it's just the weather lately.

Thank you for all the birthday wishes!!! I will show them to Daniel when he gets home from school.

I ran & got hom some balloons to decorate for dinner tonight. Penne, meatballs, garlic bread & chocolate ice cream are his favorites...hope he is hungry!!!! Movie party on Saturday & family party on Sunday.

I bought him 2 Wii games, boom blox party bash & Yu Gi Oh Racing game. he also wanted some books on animation, & other books. That along with Yu Gi Oh cards & he is all set.

Did you finish the "Hidden Magic WDW" book yet? I am reading the MK part & so far there is nothing new....sounds like anyone of us could have wrote that book (Wish we did, we'd be cashin in)

Kristin did not cause the mistrial!

When she got up the morning she called the court. Apparently they listened when she told them that we had a house paid for at the beach this month and have her scheduled for duty at the beginning of July. Would have been nice if that had told her that!
