Terry - I hope the smoke detector problem is fixed.

We had a nice day at the pool. FINALLY.

Tomorrow is a big day for me. I am starting my shorter work days :cool1: I think 5 AM - 9 AM will be so good for me. I will still get my 20 hours per week which means we can keep our memberships with no change and I will be gone before any of the usual crap hits the fan. I won't have to play any of the petty mind games that have been going on. I will also have time to get some things accomplished around here. Tomorrow morning I'm getting a mini makeover. I spent hours looking at hairstyles online and I email 5 to my cousin. She is going to work with those and hopefully create a new look for me. I know that it involves a razor and highlights. I really hope that it looks great as Chris' 20th reunion is on Saturday. I will also be working at the restaurant, but I'm not sure what time yet.

Chris has told me several times that he had a really good weekend  I guess we all needed to get away. Now we're starting to pack/plan for our Maine trip which is only 12 days away now.

Tammi just want to tell you "GOOD LUCK" tomorrow! I truly hope you make the top 10 :cool1:

I'm heading to bed.

Deb - I'm glad your work schedule is slowing down for you.

I have a crazy busy week coming on. On Tuesday I have a dreaded work assignment. Bob and Bethany are staying the night tomorrow, because on Tuesday I have to be there (not my usual location) at 7 AM, which means I need to leave here no later than 5. So he will take care of getting my kids off to school for me. Then on Wed and Fri Alyssa has her dress rehearsals for her Spring Show for ballet and tap. They both start at 5, which means I have to leave work by 3 to get her there and ready on time. I'm half tempted just to take Friday off, instead of mess with the traffic. My parents are coming on Friday as well, to see her dance in her show, which is Saturday and Sunday.

:hug:I totally understand your frustrations with Joe's school. I have been going through the same thing and it sure isn't easy. I'm just praying that Colby matures a lot over the summer.

As far as vacation goes maybe you could not do so much this summer and have a nicer/different vacation next year. That is our theory anyway. We will do a few weekend camping trips, use our season passes to Six Flags and do a one week camping trip to Maine, nothing overly exciting or expensive, but next years trip will more than make up for it :goodvibes

I hope you can figure it out. (Have you thought of a summer cruise for next year :rolleyes1)
Thanks! The school situation is frustrating because Joe is so smart but he's going to be left behind if we don't figure out what is going on with him and I'm really afraid my tender little boy is going to be in for few very rough years ahead of him. I got the impression that they really do care about Joe but this feet dragging thing is so frustrating. AND....I really knew better. I won't be making the same mistake again. The pediatrician said if I wasn't satisfied with their testing I should demand a 2nd opinion.

So if I'm totally truthful.......I went the Poly in Jan & AKL in May instead of Pop both trips because we weren't doing a summer Disney trip.....

I'm glad you guys had a fun weekend. Sounds like you'll have a great summer. If we tried that we wouldn't actually do anything. DH would never agree to a cruise.

Your new schedule sounds better!

He starts Band camp tomorrow. I REALLY wish we didn't have to deal with the bus for that, but it is what it is. Hopefully it won't be too bad. It is too far for me to be able to drop him off and pick him up. We will pick him up on Friday because there is a concert for them to show what they have learned. But that will be easy becasue DH is off on Friday - Princess and I will come by our house and get DH, then we'll all go to the concert at 4 PM.
:wizard:Good luck!

Good luck with figuring out what you are going to do. Coming from someone who's been in a relationship with someone that couldn't/wouldn't plan his way out of a paper bag, I would have a vacation planned for myself and the kids and leave him at home. I know he doesn't want you taking all the kids by yourself, but I do think you have a say in it too.
Thanks. I would have to leave Lizzy at home-she would never leave him at home alone and I don't know that I could do it. He would be miserable at home alone. I think I would love a few days home alone.

:wizard:Good luck with your crazy week.

Theresa I hope you were spared any damage from those tornados that touched down in Colorado yesterday

Good morning.

Daniel's parties went well. All his friends loved Up & dinner at Friendly's. Yesterday we had the family over for his family party & that was nice too. The kids got to play with their cousins & we had a sunny day.

Back to Monday...ugh.

Good Morning DDA friends.

Looks like another great day on tap. Last night Stevie's girlfriend made supper and it was awesome. She set the bar high for the rest of the week. The kids and grandkids all signed a card for us and we are going to out for dinner alone one night this week.

Also last night we all watched some early Muppet shows. It was great. At one point it was just Hal and I and our kids. Everyone else had gone to bed. Brought back some great memories.

Yes Stephanie I am up this early :lmao::rotfl2:

Terry - How can you NOT get up early with the view you have?? Where are you and Hal going for dinner?

Good morning, DDA! :sunny:

I am officially ON VACATION! :yay:
