DDA chapter 21

If anyone is in town on June 13th, consider yourself invited to the girls' bday party. I'm not sure anyone else will be there, though! :headache: I hate summer birthdays, and I fear it's only going to get worse as the girls get older. If only I could have had a bit more control over the timing, right?

Otherwise, nothing is really new here. We're looking forward to meeting Tom, Angie and Princess Leighanna soon, hopefully!

ETA: And if anyone is really looking for distraction or considers themselves an Elton John or Billy Joel fan, here are our pictures from the concert. They aren't great because I'm a total amateur with manual settings but hated all the programs in concert lighting... some are at least fun! :rotfl:

Great pictures as always!

I would love to come to your girls birthday party. Technically I think their party is closer to my birthday then their bday.;) Although I have Relay that weekend, which I think may just put me over the edge.

I hope to survive between now and then cause I have way too much to do for that and work by June 13th. Currently my allergies are trying to knock me off my butt. Last weekend strep tried to stop me. I have way too much to do and too little time. I know I will get things done if it does not kill me first.

Nope, you didn't miss a post.

I am not going & it depends on the money situation as to whether Gary will be able to go himself. Been a rough year, but Europe is not going anywhere.

I had to cancel our trip to Ohio as well, guess it sucks to be me right now.

:hug:I think money is tight all around this year. I guess we need to look at this as a year off from big vacations so that next year's vacations can be even better:hug:

Oh, Janet, I am sorry you had to cancel your trips. :guilty:

A lady from Universal Guest Services just called and said my tickets DO NOT expire, so that's perfect. We will plan next year's trip to end with a couple of days at US/IOA and just go back to the airport from there.

We're planning on being at US during the first week of Aug next summer, after our cruise. Harry Potterland or whatever it's called should be open by then too :thumbsup2

I do not watch AI, but thought some of you might like this:

That is very cool. Those people at the AI experience must have been amazed.

Tammi

We could all make signs at our homes saying something like "Pick Tammi" and have pictures taken with something representing our state. You could add those to your sign so you have support from around the country.

Janet-I am sorry you had to cancel your trips.

Janet - I'm so sorry to hear that you canceled your trips.

I can't think of anything catchy to write about my kids not being here, or winning it for them, plus including the mandatory "WFLS send ME to Taylor".

I think I will just make something, run up to his house tomorrow and snap a picture of it with my kids on their knees, with hands folded in prayer like the are pleading. It's not somewhere "prominent", like the radio station, but it will do.

Good evening all.

Janet - Sorry to hear about your trips. I hope things start improving for us all soon!

Tammi - Good luck with the poster.

Becky - How's the relay planning coming?

I think we will go see Night at the Museum tomorrow...Daniel decided to see Up for his party next week. He's so excited!!!

I guess it is coming along alright. The schedule is set, just need to get supplies to run the different stuff. All the logistical stuff of where things are happening and all the details to make it happen are not my friend. I am very much the big picture person and I know this.

I have been trying to create lists and write out instructions and supply lists needed for everything to help see the pieces needed to make the big picture, but I feel it is not helping much. I also feel like I was given little direction on what they want/expect which makes it hard for me to figure out what to do.

I know it will get done and be fine. But I feel like I have done am doing a crappy job. Being sick last weekend and allergies this week have taken a chunk of time I expected to use to work on this stuff.

If I enter, I'll be sure to post a link so you all could vote for us. ;)
Youve got it! good luck--love taylor swift!

Sorry Janet `

Janet - I am so sorry you have had to cancel your trips. I understand how it is, but I am so sorry.

Well! My Pre-Trip has been moved to "completed" and I can no longer post to it! How rude was THAT? A little notice would have been nice! Like maybe TELLING me it was being moved and maybe WHY? If it was closed because I violated something, if I re-start it I will be in trouble for re-starting a closed thread. I PM'd a mod so hopefully somebody will get back to me and tell me what the deal is! :headache:

That happened to me too, Elizabeth. I hadn't posted on it in a certain number of days and they closed it.

DS wants to see Up. My friend invited us to Night at the Museum last weekend, but we have not seen the first one yet! I should go rent it.

That happened to me too, Elizabeth. I hadn't posted on it in a certain number of days and they closed it.

The mod PM'd me back (that was fast!) and she has fixed it. :goodvibes There are other active threads with the last post on 5/10, so I'm not sure what happened. :confused3

Debbie, were the crowds at MGM as bad as you thought they were going to be?

Becky, it sounds like you could use a nice long break!

So do I have any desire to stay up until after midnight to watch Wanted? Is it any good? I have a feeling that my daughter is downstairs asleep during the kids movie (okay, no she's not - she just came upstairs). Upstairs, we procrastinated forever and just started the movie. I'm not sure I want to see Wanted in the first place, let alone until after midnight.

I guess we'll see.

Well, I think I've about decided that I do not want to watch this movie so I think we'll head home and go to sleep. That and I'm about to lose battery power on Kristi's laptop so I'd be forced to fully watch this movie and I'm not sure it's my style. So, I guess I'll say good night.

Have a great weekend everyone!
